Abstract

Dayah (Islamic boarding school) is the oldest institution in Aceh. It has a positive contribution toward citizen’s capacity building of Aceh, especially in the context of internalizing the Islamic teaching that acts as a social control in Aceh community. Formerly, the form of education in dayah still follow a traditional system, yet, along with the massive development of science and technology, it has adapted with the current situation without ignoring the old system. Many changes occur either in its physic and non-physic form.

Abstract

Sertifikasiguru merupakan proses pemberian sertifikatpendidik kepada guru.Sertifikatpendidikdiberikankepadaguruyang telahmemenuhistandar profesi dan kompetensi guru. Kompetensiguru merupakan seperangkat kemampuanyang harusada dalamdiriguruagardapatmewujudkankinerjanya secaratepat  dan  efektif. Kompetensi  tersebut  meliputi  kompetensi  pedagogik, kepribadian, profesional, dan sosial.Berdasarkan wawancara dengan kepala Dinas Pendidikan Meulaboh diperoleh keterangan bahwa guru kurang aktif dalam kegiatan Kelompok Kerja Guru (KKG) dan dalam berinteraksi dengan orang tua peserta didik. Adanya sertifikasi diharapkan kinerja guru akan menjadi lebih baik. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh sertifikasi terhadap kinerja guru. MIN di Kabupaten Aceh Barat. Subjekdalampenelitianiniberjumlah14 orang guru dari 7 Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Negeri.Jenis penelitian ini adalah kualitatif dengan metode deskriptif.Teknikpengumpulan data menggunakanLembar observasi kemampuan guru mengajardan angkettertutupdengan skalalikert4, yang dianalisis dengan menggunaan kriteria yang telah ditentukan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan guru dalam mengelola pembelajaran pada saat dilakukan pembelajaran pada materi dengan model pembelajaran kooperatif berada pada kategori tidak baik hanya satu guru yang berada pada kategori baik yaitu 89,47% dan Respon siswa terhadap penerapan pembelajaran dengan model pembelajaran kooperatif positif. Berdasarkan   hasil penelitian tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa guru yang sudah mendapat sertifikasi tidak semuanya aktif dan profesional dalam mengelola pembelajaran. Disarankan kepada guru bersertifikat pendidik agar selalu meningkatkan kinerjanya dengan berlandaskan pada kompetensi pedagogik, kepribadian, profesional, dan sosial, sehingga terciptalah keseimbangan antara hak dan kewajibannya.

Abstract

The world is entering a new phase now. Modernization has ended and we have to think in a new way, because the old way does not work anymore. Putting it another way, we have made a big pragmatic change that we ourselves are not aware of it. The blend between transmission technology and computer has produced an era, called the era of information technology. In addition, in the world of education, information technology is a connecting tool that connects various parts of educational institution so that the institution becomes a comprehensive unit. Educational institution is badly in need of information technology in order to get modern and progressive activities of education.

Abstract

Observing the current condition of the Indonesian nation has led to a phenomenon that the country is being hit by the crisis in various aspects of life. Various forms of violation and offense grow and develop in daily life of the community, such as: corruption, collusion, nepotism, and drug (narcotics) and alcohol abuse, theft, robbery and prostitution. In this country, it also begins to emerge the tenet and behavior of radicalism that disturb the community and government. On the other side, nowadays is also faced with the clash and confusion of thought of ‘the contradiction between religion and the State’ embedded to the young generation (millennial generation). The various social problems described above occur due to the low quality of faith and caused the decline of morality and moral degradation of this nation. It needs a fundamental and accurate solution in facing those problems. Improving and rearranging the paradigm, system and orientation of Islamic education according to its framework can be the alternative solution to solve the problems. Islamic education should be a core in the national education curriculum, so that Islamic education will have a complete transformation in people life of this state. A comprehensive and systematic transformation of Islamic education can be done through the following stages: 1) Religious education should be the core in the national education curriculum, and the substance of religious teachings should not be disputed in nation’s life. 2) Religious education in schools and colleges/universities must be taught by qualified and professional teachers and lecturers, and 3) Implementation of religious education materials should fit the needs and age of learners.

Abstract

Good behavior (akhlāq) is an action that is acted without any consideration. Good deeds mirror the sincerity of the soul driven from good behaviors. Good behaviorcan not be separated with aesthetics. One action done sincerily yields fineness. Talking in a polite and proper ways evoke lovefrom those who saw it. In reverse, if they speak rudely, people could feel the aura of arrogancy and scary. Those are the strenght of aestahic behaviour that can filter all the deviation of the human being toward misbehavior.

Abstract

Language game is a medium of various kinds of media that can be used for language teaching program or a way to improve and develop language skills in their own way and compete in the conversation. In this paper the author will write what is meant by the language game of teaching methods by using conversational method, the definition of a language game, the importance of language and the characteristics of the game, the game kind of language in conversation and conditions in teaching conversational language game.

Abstract

This article explains theories and thought of Psychology of Learning which support the idea of using Information Computer Technology in instructional program. It focuses on the rational of applying ICT and the role of E-mail, mailing list, website and mind-tools to improve learning program. In conclusion, the implementation of ICT, especially Internet, is really relevant to theories and new trend in the field of Psychology of Learning called constructivism. Email, mailing list, website and computer mind-tools improve instructional program. Therefore, ICT especially Internet is necessary to be inserted in all aspects of curriculum.

Abstract

Many teenagers in Aceh have been found to be unable to properly recite the Quran, one of which is caused by their lack of habits to reciting the Quran during childhood. To respond to this issue, a learning institution called Bait QuranySalehRahmany (BQSR) Kindergarten/Preschool in Banda Aceh works to teach the children to recite and memorize the Quran in their early years. The subjects of the study were the principal, four teachers, and several students of BQSR Banda Aceh. This study employed a qualitative research design with an analytic descriptive method. Data were collected by observation, interview, and documentation. The data were then analyzed by data reduction, data display, and data verification. The findings showed that the Quran materials to be memorized included surah An-Naas and surah An-Naba’. In terms of the methods, the school implemented the methods of kinesthetic, andJarimatika(use of fingers). The implementation of these methods was as follow: first, in the Jarimatika method, the fingers were used as the tool in helping the students memorize the surah; and second, in the kinesthetic method, the memorization was done word-by-word (juzamma), and the body movements were used while memorizing the surah. The implications of using the Jarimatika method indicated that the students were easier to memorize, their memorization could last longer, their cognitive domain was also exercised, and the motoric sensor of their hands could be stimulated. As for the kinesthetic method, the implications elucidated that the students were also easier to memorize the surah, the passive attitude of the students could be overcome, the learning atmosphere was much better, the students’ achievements were also affected, the motoric sensor of the students could also be stimulated, and the tahfiz skill of the students could be enhanced as well.

Abstract

The concept of education according to Islamic perspective, whether formal, informal, or non formal education, basically not only intended to give students knowledge or skills, but also to make them having social and spiritual quotients. It is that will make them to be excellent persons (insān kāmil). According to the philosophy of islamic education there are three terms denote the meaning of education i.e tarbiyah, ta’līm and ta’dīb. The last term is more appropriate to use, since covers knowledge and values to be transfered to students.

Abstract

School based management (MBS) is an alternative in educational management that emphasizes in the school autonomy and creativity to improve the quality of education. This research is aiming at knowing the implementation of MBS in the field of: 1) learning teaching process, 2) school administration, and 3) school relationship with society to improve the quality of SMPN 4 Peusangan Bireuen Regency. This research used a qualitative approach with a descriptive method. The data were gathered by using observation, interview and documentation. The subject of the research were school principal, vice principal, teacher, and school’s committee. The result showed as follow:1) In learning teaching process, there were three activities, they were: a) opening; checking attendance, asking previous material (pretest) and apperception, b) main activity; explaining about aims of study, writing the core of materials, explaining the materials, using instructional tools and concluding the study, and c) closing; giving question,reexplaining unclear material, giving assignment (posttest), and informing the materials that will be discussed in the next meeting. 2) for school’s personnel,there were supervising and developing the school’s personnels by involving them in making decision of the school, activating the school’s MGMP, sending teachers to follow trainings, giving permittion for teachers who want to pursue their degree. Besides, there were also promotion, mutation, job discontinuance,compensation and employees’ evaluation. 3) to build school relationship with the society, there were several efforts have been done such as forming and empowering school’s committee, having a routine meeting with school’s committtee at the end of semester, obligating the parents to take the rapport of their children every semester, explaining the improvement and the declining of school’s prestige,building the relationship with society to be involved actively in the improvement of educational quality, providing information about the school to the society and cultivate the transparancy in school management.
