Abstract

This study aimed to understand the implementation and learning activities of students after the implementation of the inquiry cycle learning model assisted by JavaLab. This research used an observational research design by involving 32 students 7th grade. Data collection technique used Stallings snapshot observation. Then, data were analyzed using the results of learning implementation and the percentage of learning activities. Based on the results of data analysis, it showed that the implementation of learning with the inquiry cycle learning model assisted by JavaLab was carried out in all phases and obtained a percentage of learning activities with more dominant active instructions. Students actively participate in the learning process through discussions, practice or drills, and assignments. Based on this explanation, although there are limitations, it can be concluded that the application of the inquiry cycle learning model assisted by JavaLab has a good impact on student learning activities in the implementation of learning.

Abstract

This research is experimental research which aims to see whether there are differences in students' collaboration skills taught using the STAD and Jigsaw learning models. The type of research used in this study was quasi-experimental and non-equivalent control group research design. The population in this study were students of class X MAN 2 Padang City. This research instrument is a collaboration skills assessment sheet. While the data analysis technique used is descriptive analysis technique, normality test, homogeneity test, and hypothesis testing with a significance value of 0.05. According to the results of research data analysis it is known that the average value of collaboration skills in the STAD class is 81.69 higher than that in the Jigsaw class 78.97. Meanwhile, based on the results of testing the hypothesis obtained tcount = 3.487 and ttable = 1.994. In this study tcount is greater than ttable (3.487 > 1.994). Based on this, therefore H1 is accepted and H0 is rejected, which means that there are differences in the improvement of students' collaboration skills taught by the STAD and Jigsaw learning models.

Abstract

This research was conducted to analyze the need for developing e-modules based on the Problem Based Learning model. The research was conducted use literature study and field observation. The type of research conducted is descriptive qualitative research. In this field study, data collection was obtained by analyzing the needs of teacher from interview sheets and analyzing the needs to students from questionnaire instruments. Systematically developed e-module features images, animations, videos, and interactive quizzes that available for students to use independently. E-modules developed based on the Problem Based Learning model with features in the Flip PDF Proffesional application. Teacher needs analysis in the form of interviews was conducted for obtain information in the form of whether teachers use e-module, the types of teaching materials used, and the learning models used in class. As for the needs analysis on 36 students of class X IPA 2, it is known that students are allowed to use cellphones in class, besides that the school also provides wi-fi for learning needs. As many as 94.4% of students are happy if the teaching materials have features of images, animations, videos and interactive quizzes, 66.7% of students feel that the teaching materials used are not sufficient for their learning needs and students feel that the material on simple harmonic vibrations in the teaching materials is difficult to understand. In addition, 88.9% of students needs study resources to understood independently and 91.7% of students are interested in learning using e-modules. From the results of the analysis, may be concluded that the importance of developing an e-module based on the Problem Based Learning model of Simple Harmonic Vibration material.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the level of creative thinking of students in class X.5 at SMA Negeri 1 Jember. Through a descriptive research approach and using project-based worksheets as a data collection instrument to assess fluency, flexibility, originality, and elaboration in students' creative thinking. The results showed variations in the level of creative thinking among students, who were divided into six groups. Further analysis based on the creative thinking indicators revealed that on fluency, most students showed sufficient and creative levels of creativity. On flexibility, most students showed a good level of creativity, while on originality and elaboration, students showed a very high level of creativity. The relevance of this research is the importance of learning differentiation to adjust students' creativity level. Teachers can develop learning strategies that are more in line with each student's creative potential, including the use of teaching methods that introduce flexibility, original idea generation, and the development of elaboration skills. The project-based assessment system can also be improved to measure aspects of creative thinking more comprehensively. This research is expected to contribute to the understanding of student creativity at the senior high school level and open the door for further research in the context of creative thinking

Abstract

This research used the natural fiber of the Palmyra fruits for composite particle manufacturing, and the physical and mechanical properties were studied on these composite particles. Raw material manufacturing uses the hand lay-up technique with a uniform volume fraction and random fiber in the composite. The presentations of the ratio composition of both fibers of palmyra fruits and epoxy resin are 75:25 for sample A, 70:30 for sample B, 65:35 for sample C, 60:40 for sample D, and 55:45 for sample E. This research shows that densities of the sample A to sample E are in range 0.47 g/cm3 to 0.60 g/cm3, and a sample A has the highest development thickness, with 72.61%, and the lowest is in sample C, with 33.11 %. Water content testing shows that samples A, B, C, and E have range 2.75 % to 7.52 %, and sample D is 17.30 %. For modulus of rapture (MOR), sample A has higher MOR than sample B, C, D, and E. Whereas sample D has lower MOR than the other samples. Sample C has the highest value for modulus of elasticity (MOE), 5526.47 kg/cm2. This sample's high modulus of elasticity correlates with the percentage of thickness development where the percentage of thickness development of sample C is lowest at 33.11%. The analysis results with AND or OR logic show that samples A, B, and D does not match SNI 03-2105-2006 standards while C and E samples match with SNI 03-2105-2006 standards. Thus, the three samples are not recommended for development. While C and E samples can be developed into particle board by reducing moisture content and improving elasticity properties.
