The journal is pursues the academic exploration on Islamic education discourses in Southeast Asian schools, colleges, universities, and other Islamic educational institutions such as pesantrens (Islamic boarding schools). The journal promotes empirical research and theory relevant to Islamic affiliated educational institutions. The topics of the journal cover the micro, meso, and macro levels of Islamic education such as the philosophy of Islamic education, Islamic school leadership, and the politics of Islamic education. The journal is published twice a year in June and December. It was firstly published in 2013 (printed edition). Since Vol. 3, Issue 2 (December 2015), it has migrated gradually to an electronic journal system (Open Access). It is now a fully online journal, and since Vol. 8, No. 2 (December 2019) it only accepts manuscript submissions written in English or Arabic.

Abstract

This research is grounded by the low understanding of the assessment in the Curriculum 2013 is one of the problems in school. This is due to internal and external barriers. To overcome these obstacles it is necessary to have quality coordination from the competent party with the school related to the implementation of the 2013 curriculum assessment. This study aims to determine the implementation of the 2013 curriculum assessment model and the supporting and inhibiting factors of the implementation of the 2013 curriculum assessment model, especially the field of Islamic Religious Education study at Tenggarong high school. The research method used qualitative descriptive type with multi disciplinary approach. While processing techniques and data analysis using data reduction, data presentation and drawing conclusions. The result of this research is the implementation of curriculum 2013 assessment the field of Islamic Religious Education Studies at Tenggarong High School covers four aspects, namely, spiritual aspect, knowledge aspect, social aspect and skill aspect that has been implemented. In detail can be concluded as follows: 1) Assessment based on the type used is Daily Deuteronomy in writing and oral, assignment, Mid Semester and Deuteronomy end of semester, but not yet executing authentic assessment model. 2) Appraisal Assessment based on the aspects used are observations, in attitude assessment, both spiritual and religious attitudes, but have not used self-assessment, assessment among friends, journal notes teachers. While the skills aspect has not used project appraisal and portopolio. 3) Supporting and inhibiting factors in implementing the curriculum 2013 assessment in the field of study of Islamic Religious Education at State Senior High School 1 and State Senior High School 2 in Tenggarong show similarity. From the spiritual aspect, social aspect, knowledge aspect and skill aspect. While the inhibiting factor is the inadequate allocation of learning time of Islamic Religious Education, the difficulty of making indicators of spiritual attitudes and social attitudes to be assessed, the questions tested have not been tested yet, the limitations of the means of worship, the condition of the less disciplined students, the assessment of the practice exam is not conducive, The lack of involvement of other teachers in the assessment of spiritual attitudes and social attitudes.

Abstract

This research in the wake of the fact that in this time,  students who study Islamic religious education but in himself has not formed Muslim personality, Beginning of dress, speech, association, and other things. In fact, there are still many who have not established conduct religious teachings such as prayer, fasting, and in her social morals less reflects a Muslim student. And do not rule out some that have very broad spiritual  experience  can leave worship and even do things that are religiously forbidden.This research aimed to determine whether there is the effect of understanding islamic education on spiritual  experience  SMA N 1 Sangkulirang. The hypothesis of this study is " theare  is significant effect  among the understanding of Islamic religious education on  spiritual  experience  student SMA N 1 Sangkulirang." That is the better understanding of Islamic education, it would be better of  the spiritual  experience student SMA N I Sangkulirang.The sample collection technique is using cluster random sampling technique on student of SMA N1 class X and XI. While respondents count 104 students. The results obtained show that  understanding of Islamic religious education have the value of  r count of 0.587 with significance value of 0.000. And the count value r is greater than r table (0.578> 0.191), while the value of significance is also smaller than alpha of 0.05 (0.000> 0.05) thus testing showed Ha Ho accepted and rejected. These results show that the variable understanding of Islamic religious education in a positive and significant effect on students religious practice.R Square results obtained amounted to 0.345 which means that the variable student religious practice can be affected by variables Islam understanding of religious education 34.5%, while the rest is influenced by other variables outside the research.Therefore can be concluded that the understanding of Islamic religious education affect on the  spiritual  experience student. Based on the above findings, the authors suggest to the school in order to further enhance the learning of Islamic education to provide religious understanding and practice to students.

Abstract

The Quran was revealed in Arabic. In understanding the Quran, for the people who use the Arabic language and the people who do not use Arabic language needs specific competence. Without the competence, people will not be able to capture the content and message of the Quran correctly. The specific competence is interpretation/tafsir. Tafsir has thariqah at-tafsir, a method or a way of interpreting the Quran. Errors in understanding Quran will also cause errors in delivering the teaching Quran. The interpretations’ clerics explain that in interpreting the Quran, there are four methods: 1) tahlili method, 2) ijmali method, 3) comparison method and 4) thematic method.

Abstract

Educational institutions authorized to manage education which used in this institutions, included manage learning methods, learning materials, student activities, and introduced to society. A while ago educational institutions as a produce education service only seen as seller’s market, prospective students compete to enroll in school without much competition with other institutions. The marketing strategy is needed in introducing educational institutions that is to inform effective and efisien to people about education services so people can attract to study in this institutions. This study aims to know the factors that influence marketing strategy in educational institutions and to know what the best marketing strategy to use in PG/TK Islam Bunayya Samarinda. This study use qualitative research methods with field research. The methods are indepth interview, observation and documentation. The data analysis used SWOT analysis. This study results are 1) implementation of marketing strategy that used by PG/TK Islam Bunayya Samarinda are direct and indirect methods, 2) internal factors consist of strengths are the teachers, services and communication, tution fee, and curriculum, then for the weaknesses are double work, education background of teachers, location, parking area. External factors consist of opportunities are muslim majority, expectation to study in the next study, cooperation with others institutions, alumnus supports, and people perceptions about Islam school, 3) marketing strategy that can be used in PG/TK Islam Bunayya Samarinda is stable growth strategy.

Abstract

The background of this research with low level of knowledge and understanding of students in the subjects taught in the educational unit. it is caused by a large load of the subjects taught, the number of core competencies and basic competencies are mastered, the lack of teaching materials used reference and instructional media use is considered monotonous. Therefore, the education unit is expected to have a strategy to deal with the issues involved, so that the learning process in educational units to run well so that student learning outcomes can be achieved to the fullest. One of them is the development of teaching materials and media learning. The purpose of this study to determine the relationship of the development of teaching materials and media with the results of student learning in Public Elementary Schools District Sungai Kunjang. This research is a quantitative study with associative approach. The number of respondents in this research is 160 students, this selection using quota sampling technique and proportional random sampling. The technique of data analysis in this research is using correlation test and t-test. The results of this research is there is a positive and significant relationship between the development of teaching materials and media with the results of student learning in Islamic Religious Education in Public Elementary Schools District Sungai Kunjang.

Abstract

Actually the child with special needed is a child that has privileges. At inclusive school, children with special needed are mingled with normal children in a school. Here, the children with special needed and normal children are treated equally. Based on the fact, the researcher is interested to conduct a research about the uniqueness of the child with special needed, especially about Islamic teaching model for the child with special needed in one of state school of elementary school in Samarinda. Because not all teachers can apply the model. Sometimes, they find difficulties in choosing the appropriate model in teaching them because there are some children those who have different characteristics. The objective of this research is to identify Islamic teaching model for the child with special needed at SD Negeri 016 District Sungai Kunjang Samarinda City is assigned as inclusive school. The design of this research is qualitative. The data analysis of the study is descriptive qualitative, where it is conducted with a natural setting. The focus of the research is to find the concept in application of Islamic teaching model for the child with special needed at SD Negeri 016 District Sungai Kunjang Samarinda City. The subject of the research is Islamic Education teachers and students (the children with special needed) are as informant. The instruments of the research are interview guide, observation sheet and documentation.The result of the research is in designing program, hopefully must be oriented and can define the strategy and appropriate model that can be applied to the children with special needed. Based on the data display above, it is showed that Islamic teaching model that used in teaching is very simple, they do not use electronic devices/technology, they only use pictures are made by teacher, puzzle, story repetition model, and demonstration. Instructional media, infrastructure is not complete. The evaluation must be repeated until reach KKM is determined. Obstacles are faced is very different from normal children, because obstacles that is faced is suitable with the children with special needed, namely mental obstacle of each student. While obstacle is faced by Islamic education teachers is lack of instructional media, infrastructure and supervision.

Abstract

This study aims to determine how the implementation of the 2013 curriculum by Islamic religious education teachers in elementary schools (SD) in Samarinda. This research is qualitative research and the point of research is in the second semester of Elementary School (SD) in Samarinda City academic year 2013/2014. The data sources used are the Islamic religious teachers  in elementary school in Samarinda. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling and snowball sampling. Data collection techniques used is observation, interviews, and documentation. Testing the validity of the data include a test of credibility, transferability, dependability, and conformability. Data analysis techniques used is data reduction, data presentation, and verification.The result of the study shows that the implementation of the 2013 curriculum by Islamic religious teachers in elementary schools in Samarinda, Some of them is still not implementing the standardized processes optimally. Particularly, in the form of teaching planning administration. The problem is the lack of training 2013 curriculum, the lack of technology mastery, too much students, evaluation, and describing value for report cards, lack of cooperation between parents and teachers, the limitations of PAI books in 2013 curriculum.The results of this study concluded that the implementation of the 2013 curriculum by Islamic religious teachers in elementary schools (SD) in Samarinda is not done well and there are too much less optimal in practice.

Abstract

This research is intended to find out correlation of 1) how is ability to understanding yellow book student of Nahdlatul Wathan Tenggarong Seberang Islamic Boarding School, 2) how is oral ability in arabic language student of Nahdlatul Wathan Tenggarong Seberang Islamic Boarding School, 3) how is writing ability in arabic language student of Nahdlatul Wathan Tenggarong Seberang Islamic Boarding School, 4) how is the relationship between the ability to understand the capability Yellow Book Oral and Written in Arabic student of Nahdlatul Wathan Tenggarong Seberang Islamic Boarding School. This research belongs to quantitative correlation by taking Nahdlatul Wathan Tenggarong Seberang Islamic boarding school. Data was obtained by interview, observation, documentation and instrument. Data analysis techniques performed with the test requirements analysis to test the research hypothesis. Finding of this research show that ability to understanding yellow book student of Nahdlatul Wathan Tenggarong Seberang Islamic Boarding School year academic 2015-2016 show that in general ability of understanding yellow book student of Nahdlatul Wathan Tenggarong Seberang Islamic Boarding School have ability to fairly high significance with an average mean 71.98 and standart deviation of 9.743. The ability of verbal have average score mean is 76.03. Shows the direction quite high with standard deviations is 10 407. The ability of writinghave average score mean is 76.77. Shows the direction quite high with standard deviations is 80.Partially multiple correlation the ability to understand the capability Yellow Book Oral and Written in Arabic student of Nahdlatul Wathan Tenggarong Seberang Islamic Boarding School showing the conclution: 1) The absence of a significant positive relationship between the ability to understand the yellow book with verbal ability is shown by a coefficient of 0.124. 2) While the ability to understand the yellow book with writing ability enough to have a significant relationship with a coefficient of 0.009. 3) There is a positive relationship between the yellow book with the ability to understand spoken and written ability student of Nahdlatul Wathan Tenggarong Seberang Islamic Boarding School. The strength of correlation the ability to understand the capability Yellow Book, Oral and Written in Arabic student of Nahdlatul Wathan Tenggarong Seberang Islamic Boarding School indicated by the multiple correlation coefficient of 0.503.

Abstract

The Quran asserts that the purpose of human creation is to serve (al-Ibadah) to Allah. Serving in this case includes the meaning of submission, helplessness, weakness, servitude, obedience and obedience of man to the law of God in living life on earth, whether ritual worship concerning vertical relationship (habl min Allah) and social worship concerning horizontal (hablun min al -Nas). The purpose of human creation is basically the ultimate goal of Islamic education. In order to achieve the goal of human creation as well as the goals of Islamic education above, the setting of objectives, content and teaching materials, learning strategies and evaluation of Islamic education becomes very important to do. Setting objectives may include the arrangement of the herarchical side of the broadest goal to the most narrow goals and objective categories of spiritual, social, knowledge and skill objectives. While the content setting can cover the breadth and depth of material including the development of teaching materials that support. Strategy settings include various models, approaches, strategies, methods, techniques and learning experiences that facilitate the delivery of content and teaching materials to achieve goals. Furthermore, the assessment arrangement includes various types of penilian either in the form of assessment that besifat qualitative or quantitative or assessment that is test or non test.

Abstract

This thesis is a study of the concept of parenting parents in the Koran (verses analysis study of communication parents and children), and aims to explore the type of parenting as well as the methods used by four parents in providing education and guidance to children became the object of this study. As for the four parents who meet the qualifications for being the object of this study are: As Noah and his sons; Prophet Ibrahim and Prophet Ismail As; As the prophet Jacob and Joseph As well as Luqman and his son. By knowing parenting and methods used in the verse, it will be easier for parents to imitate and take lessons that are inside.This study is a pure research library using interpretation approach, using methods maudui. This method was chosen because it is considered the most appropriate, at least until recently, to study the concepts of Quran on an issue, if the expected results of comprehensive and intact. Because this study involves the Koran directly, the first source is the holy book of Quran. Manuscripts that are used are the manuscripts of Religious Affairs. Other sources include books of commentaries, books and other writings related to this research.The results showed that the type of parenting parents in the verses of communication parents and children have a pattern and pattern Authoritarian Democracy. Authoritarian pattern can occur when educators provide that pressure followed by learners, while pattern Democracy can walk when educators give students the freedom to think, be creative and not to impose to the learners. In addition, another result of this study is the existence of several methods used to instill the values contained in the QS. Hud (11) Verses 42-43, QS. Alsaffat (37) Verses 102, QS. Yusuf (12) Verses 4-5, QS. Luqman (31) Verses 13-19) are: a) the method of behavior, b) the method of mauiz}ahh}asanah, c) the method of meeting , d) the method of attention.This research, contributing positively in spreading the wisdom-the wisdom of Quran learn how to ducate children well and help to answer everyday issue within the family so that cen createsakinah mawaddah wa rahmah.
