Abstract

Anxiety is the highest effect upon inmates of drug abuse. Individuals with anxiety disorders can display behavior such as unwarranted fear, panic and anxiety. Panic and anxiety can overcome by giving cognitive behavior therapy with thought stopping. The purpose of this study is (1) to describe the feelings of drug abuse before treatment (pre-test), (2) to describe the anxiety of drug abuse inmates after treatment (post-test), (3) to test the effectiveness of a cognitive behavior therapy with thought stopping to lower the level of drug abuse. The research method used was a quantitative study method with a pre-experiment type. The experimental design used was the one group pre-test post-test design. The study sample includes as many as 40 individuals who were convicted of drug abuse and 10 who were drug-abused as experiment groups. The withdrawal samples used are purposive sampling. Research instruments used by the Likert scale model, data analyzed using Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test with the help SPSS of version 26.00. Research indicates that (1) a description of the anxiety condition of drug abuse prior to treatment (pre-test) appears in medium category, (2) of the drug abuse anxiety conditions following treatment (post-test) is in low category, (3) the cognitive behavior therapy with thought stopping was effective lowers the anxiety level of drug abuse by inmates.

Abstract

This research is an experimental study with a pretest posttest design, namely applying bibiliocounseling in the form of comics for the treatment given to research subjects. The research subjects were students of class VIII SMP through the selection of purposive sampling technique by taking 2 students from 5 classes who lacked career recognition. This research consists of problem identification, goal setting, counselee identification, bibliocounseling analysis, writing the initial draft of bibliocounseling material, peer evaluation, expert evaluation, development, experimentation, and evaluation. However, the researchers discussed more about the experimental results. The evaluation used is the evaluation of workmanship and evaluation of results. The data obtained in this study were reviewed with Wilcoxon, then continued with the discussion obtained from the results of evaluation and observation during experimental research. The results of the pretest showed an average score in the low to average category, this indicates that the bibliocounseling technique in the form of comics has succeeded in improving students' career recognition skills, which can be seen from the comparison of pre and post test scores. score. This means that bibliocounseling in the form of comics can improve the ability to recognize careers, which are in accordance with the abilities and desires of the ten research subjects. The suggestion given by the researcher is that the use of bibliocounseling is improved because this method is very popular with students, especially in the form of comics that can reveal to understand careers and methods of choosing a career that suits the students themselves. For researchers who want to conduct bibliocounseling research, it is better to adjust the variety of bibliocounseling that will be used, according to the characteristics of students who are research subjects.

Abstract

Burnout is a condition in which a person experiences physical and emotional exhaustion due to the many demands of schoolwork, to determine a person's burnout level can be measured using emotional exhaustion, physical exhaustion, cognitive exhaustion, and loss of motivational memory using the burnout scale. . This research is useful in knowing that self-management strategies are very effective in reducing burnout in class XI IPS 1 students of SMAN 1 Kedamean. This study used a quantitative approach with the Single Subject Design (SSD) experimental design with A-B-A design. In collecting data, researchers used several analytical techniques, namely descriptive statistics and visual analysis techniques. The subjects in this study were 2 students of class XI IPS 1 with the highest level of learning saturation. The results of this study were that 2 students or subjects experienced a decrease in their initial pre-test scores. So that the results of the final ability post-test for PW subjects with a score of 35 and PDC subjects with a score of 36. These results can be concluded that the use of self-management strategies is effective in reducing student boredom at SMAN 1 Kedamean Gresik.

Abstract

This study aims to test the effectiveness of classical guidance using video media to reduce bullying behavior at the "X" Putra Orphanage in Yogyakarta. This research can be classified into action research. The number of participants is all residents of the orphanage, totaling 64 people. Guidance is carried out classically by showing a video about the introduction of bullying. There are three videos presented to the counselee which are watched together every Saturday night. The first video is about bullying behavior, the second video is about the negative consequences of bullying, and the third video is about how to avoid bullying. After the counselee watched the video, a joint question and answer session was held. Before the mentoring process began, participants were asked to fill out a pre-test, and after the guidance session was over, participants were asked to fill out a post-test, which had previously been prepared by the researcher and validated by an expert. The data obtained were analyzed descriptively and tested "t" to determine the significance of the pretest and posttest results. From the results of the descriptive analysis it was known that there were three participants who did not experience a decrease in their potential for bullying behavior, while the others experienced a decrease ranging from 1-10 points. The results of the t test obtained the value of t = -10.435 with p = 0.000 which means there is a significant decrease. Thus it can be concluded that classical counseling with video media at the Yogyakarta "X" Orphanage for Boys is effective.

Abstract

This study discusses the appropriate psychological intervention for children with Asperger's disorder who experience difficulties in social interaction. The purpose of this study is to provide a description of the characteristics of children with autism and their social interactions, to describe the concept of play therapy with traditional games to train social interaction in children with autism and to provide recommendations for the design of implementing play therapy with traditional games to train social interaction in children with autism. The research method used is a literature review with five stages of literature collection, literature selection, literature evaluation, conclusion drawing, and discussion of the study results with 10 relevant articles. Based on a literature review, it was found that appropriate age for providing intervention for children with autism-related to their social interaction ability is 5-12 years old and play therapy with traditional games is a suitable intervention. Traditional game media that can be used include sobak sodor, engklek, bentengan, cublak suweng, and ular naga. Implementation of play therapy with traditional games can use the single subject design A-B-A research method. The purpose of this research is to contribute to field of behavior modification that can be used by teachers, therapists, and counselors in helping children with autism develop their ability to interact with their environment.
