Abstract

The increasing development of engines in human life to facilitate human work for 24 hours, cannot be denied that the Generator Set or better known as Genset is very important role in keeping the engine alive during the power outages. For this reason, it is necessary to monitor a Ganset fuel tank to make it easier to find out the changing conditions of the Ganset fuel, and the automatic runhours calculation system so that the maintenance of the ganset can be easily determined based on the calculation of the life span of the ganset. Tank monitoring system and automatic calculation of runhours ganset that is designed based on IoT, this system uses an ultrasonic sensor to find out the height of the fuel tank in captivity, the current sensor as a live ganset detector, Nodemcu Esp8266 functions as data receiver from the sensor and sends it to the web application that has been created. From the test results it can be seen that the percentage of errors in the ultrasonic sensor is 5.2%, and testing on the current sensor that detects the current in the load with an error in the manual calculation time with the time on the web display only ranges from 1-2 seconds. Abstract

Light-emitting diode (LED) lamps become popular in a variety of applications, due to low power usage, high efficiency, and low maintenance. Another advantage of LEDs is that they are durable and environmentally friendly because they contain less toxic substance composition compared to other types of lamps. To achieve high efficiency in energy transfer to the LED power supply, a switching mode power supply (SMPS) is applied. SMPS was implemented with pulse width modulation (PWM) which operates at a constant frequency, producing significant emissions in several frequencies through conducted and radiated mechanisms. These emissions are called electromagnetic interference (EMI). As a result, many LED lamps have the potential to fail to meet the electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) standard. In this research, the design and implementation of passive EMI filters were carried out to reduce the conducted emission of LED lights on the market. Passive EMI filters are LC low pass filters (LPF). Before the LED lights were applied to the EMI passive filter, conducted emissions were measured to exceed CISPR 22 class B regulatory standards, which reached 82.5 dBµV. When the passive EMI filter was implemented, the LED lights occur conducted emission reduction in the frequency range 150kHz - 1.5MHz with an average value of 36.96 dBµV and a maximum reduction value of 34.7 dBµV.

Abstract

Bicycle Treadmill is a two-wheeled bicycle and has a treadmill that uses a brushless motor as the power of the treadmill bike. A treadmill bike is used with a rider walking on a treadmill that has been provided. The speed of a treadmill bike can be adjusted as desired by adjusting the brushless motor speed using the throttle gas provided on the treadmill bicycle handlebars. The treadmill is not only flat, but there is also a slope angle that can help relieve the treadmill when the rider rides a treadmill bike and increases the treadmill's launch power. This aims to facilitate users when using a treadmill bike like a treadmill in a fitness center. A treadmill that has a battery capacity of 52 Volts can travel a maximum distance of up to 38.4 Km. Brushless motor with 350 Watts of power can be driven by riders with a maximum weight of 115 Kg. The brushless motor that is used on treadmill bikes requires a current average of 4.362 A with a starting current of 10.776 A. Based on the times, bicycle treadmill is the latest development of sports methods from ordinary bikes or electric bikes that are no longer pedaled but walk or run on a treadmill provided.

Abstract

In this research, a prototype of Arduino-based robot arm manipulator (MLR) controlled with lead-through method is proposed. Through lead-through control methods, the robot movement programming process is replaced by a simple and easy robot movement recording process. The recording process is performed when parts of the MLR are manually moved by the user. Afterwards, the playback process of the recorded movement can be performed. The MLR has 4 degrees of freedom and uses four servo motors to perform rotational movement, upward-downward movement, forward-backward movement, and gripping movement. The servo motors are modified so that each of them has one additional terminal that serves to provide position feedback. On the recording process, the position of all servo motors is recorded on Arduino Uno EEPROM every 200 milliseconds time interval. In the playback process, the recorded position is sent to the servo motors as input, and the MLR repeats the recorded movement. The MLR is tested to move workpieces with accuracy requirement of ± 3cm. MLR is able to repeat the movement to move 1 workpiece for 30 cm displacement with a success rate of 80%. In addition, MLR is able to playback the movement to move 2 workpieces for 60 cm displacement with a success rate of 85%.

Abstract

The Safety System is one way to overcome the interference of reducing the influence of electric current, such as leakage currents or short circuit due to failure of insulation and natural disasters as well as the result of lightning surges. Lancang Kuning University Rectorate Building is a building that has several rooms that have administrative, academic, financial and lecture activities using electrical equipment. The purpose of this study was to calculate the magnitude of the current per phase, power consumption, power losses and determine the capacity of the safety system and evaluate the grounding system in the Rector Building, Lancang Kuning University. Based on the results of the discussion, the power consumption obtained at the Lancang Kuning University Rectorate Building was 292.95 kW, the balanced current was 50 Amperes, the voltage drop was 5 volts, the power loss at the phase 1 voltage R was 1.54 kW and 3 phase of 2.28 kW, magnitude of power loss in phase 1 S voltage of 0.97 kW and 3 phases of 1.69 kW, power loss at phase T voltage of 1 phase at 1.48 kW kW and 3 phases of 2 , 56 kW, the amount of earth resistance is 59.5 ohms, the safety of the main panel is 80 amperes and the installed load is 38.71 KVA, the maximum load is 315 KVA and the average load is 161.61 kVA.

Abstract

Bandwidth limitations and fluctuations in traffic on the network become obstacles in the process of sending video. At the time of the availability of small bandwidth and high network traffic, the process of sending video will take a long time due to the operation of slow video transmission or more commonly called buffering. This study evaluates sending live streaming video using the Dynamic Adaptive Streaming over HTTP (DASH) method on the LAN network. DASH is an adaptive streaming protocol that can present the video with video quality according to network capabilities on the client. This implementation is carried out using H.265 video compression and the streaming process is carried out on a LAN network with 20 live streaming clients. The results of this study obtained the value of video delivery throughput reaches 1.4 Mbps and the most significant delay value is 12.5 ms. The highest percentage of client requests for video quality for one client is 98%. As for the use of 20 clients, the demand for high-quality video is reduced to 46% which proves that DASH was successfully implemented live streaming. Keywords: Video, Live, Streaming, H.265, DASH

Antenna mikrostrip made using circular patches .The measurement result shows performance of returnloss antennae < -10 db at the frequency of 605 Mhz to 6677 Mhz , with bandwidth 6072 Mhz .Polaradiasi mikrostrip shaped omni directional antenna .Gain the measurement result mikrostrip antenna on the highest frequency of 650 Mhz to gain 3.3 db and at the frequency of 1800 Mhz with gain 3.4 db . Abstract

PI controller is a control algorithm that was commonly used in industry because of its simplicity to be applied or simulated. In this case, the PI controller is used to regulate the temperature of the prototype of cow's milk pasteurization, which is designed using a Simple Water Heater. Pasteurization is a process of heating food with the aim of killing harmful organisms. Pasteurization is so influenced by the heating temperature. In this case, there is a component that has limited output performance. This component is commonly called the AC to AC Converter. It is used to control the temperature in the pasteurization plan or the others. To overcome this problem, a modification was needed, it is called Anti WindUp. So PI Controller was able to reach set point well, and has a very small steady-state error about 1%, more resistant to external disturbance and able to produce safe milk to consume.

Abstract

Rotating machines such as milling machines have spindle motor and feeding motor which can cause vibrations due to the rotation of the two motors. Apart from the vibrations of the two motors, the work piece eating process also greatly influences the level of vibration that occurs. In this research, milling machine number 1108 is used in the Caltex Riau Polytechnic Production Laboratory (PCR), and a face feeding process is used using three variations in cutting depth, namely 0.5 mm, 1 mm, and 1.5 mm, with each 15 data were taken in the time domain range of 4 seconds, besides the cutter used was a cutter end mill with a diameter of 30 mm. In knowing the level of vibration that occurs using vibration tester measuring instrument type VM-6370 which is owned by the PCR Production Machinery Laboratory. To test the vibrations generated, the position of the probe on the vibration tester is affixed to the workpiece when the feeding process occurs. Vibration results obtained in the form of displacement, velocity, and acceleration with three measurement directions, namely vertical, horizontal, and axial direction which are then analyzed so that the data obtained in the form of amplitude. From the research that has been done, it is obtained that the vibration results in the form of the largest amplitude in the axial direction with a cutting depth of 1.5 mm of feed is 0.164 mm.

Abstract

Coffee is a beverage that is relatively favored by the people of Indonesia because of its taste and aroma. Takengon, Central Aceh district is one of the regions producing coffee beans in Indonesia. Many of the coffees we drink today are the result of coffee plantations originating from there. But many do not know that the process of making coffee drinks is not so easy, especially during the process of stripping the skin on coffee beans. The process of stripping the coffee husk is carried out by the community usually by turning the mill manually which is rotated by hand. Thus came the idea to make a Coffee Skin Peeling Machine Using Two Knives that can simplify the process of stripping the coffee skin efficiently and simply. This machine has 2 parts that can facilitate the stripping process, namely the rectifier shaft and paring knife. This machine can separate the results of stripping between beans and coffee mechanically and the best stripping percentage during the stripping process is 83% with an error percentage of 17 %.
