The SOSIOHUMANIKA journal has been organized and published by Minda Masagi Press, a publishing house owned by ASPENSI (the Association of Indonesian Scholars of History Education) in Bandung, West Java, Indonesia. The SOSIOHUMANIKA journal is published every May and November. The SOSIOHUMANIKA journal is devoted, but not limited to, Social Sciences education, Humanities education, and any new development and advancement in the field of Humanities and Social Sciences education. Abstract

ABSTRACT: Tracer study is one way of evaluating curricular programs, especially in higher education institutions. For the purpose of quality assurance of course programs, higher education institutions can contribute meaningfully by applying the principles of tracer study to create sustainable learning empowerment environment for the continuous professional development of past students. Hence, tracer study can be used for the enhancement of quality course programs offered in higher education institutions to be able to meet the demands of changing educational, socio-economic, industrial and technological demands of the new century. This tracer study evaluated the graduate Mathematics education program in CGSTER PNU (College of Graduate Studies and Teacher Education Research, Philippine Normal University) in Manila, Philippines. The profile of the graduates of the program was described in terms of biographical characteristics, employment attributes, transition, and professional achievements. Likewise, a retrospective evaluation of the program was also done, which includes the satisfaction of the graduates with services, learning environment, and facilities of the university. The extent to which the graduate Mathematics education program contributed to the general and specific competencies of the graduates was also determined. Findings reveal that the graduates are satisfied with the services and facilities of the university. They find the trainings provided by the Mathematics education program adequate and relevant to the skills and competencies they need in their work.  KEY WORD: Quality Graduate; Mathematics Education Program; Tracer Study; Biographical Characteristics; Satisfaction of the Graduates.  RESUME: “Menuju Kualitas Pendidikan Guru Matematika Pascasarjana: Studi Pelacakan Alumni CGSTER PNU”. Studi pelacakan alumni merupakan salah satu cara untuk mengevaluasi program kurikuler, terutama di perguruan tinggi. Untuk tujuan penjaminan mutu program studi, perguruan tinggi dapat berkontribusi secara bermakna dengan menerapkan prinsip studi pelacakan alumni untuk menciptakan lingkungan yang memberdayakan pembelajaran berkelanjutan bagi pengembangan profesional dengan masa lalu mahasiswa. Oleh karena itu, studi pelacakan alumni dapat digunakan untuk peningkatan program kursus berkualitas yang ditawarkan di perguruan tinggi agar dapat memenuhi tuntutan perubahan dalam bidang pendidikan, sosio-ekonomi, industri dan teknologi pada abad yang baru. Studi pelacakan alumni ini mengevaluasi program pendidikan Matematika pascasarjana di CGSTER PNU (Sekolah Pascasarjana Penelitian dan Kajian Pendidikan Guru, Universitas Pendidikan Filipina) di Manila, Filipina. Profil lulusan program ini dijelaskan dalam hal karakteristik biografi, atribut ketenagakerjaan, transisi, dan prestasi profesional. Demikian juga, evaluasi retrospektif terhadap program juga dilakukan, yang meliputi kepuasan lulusan dengan layanan, lingkungan belajar, dan fasilitas universitas. Sejauh mana program pendidikan Matematika pascasarjana memberikan kontribusi terhadap kompetensi umum dan spesifik lulusan juga ditentukan. Temuan mengungkapkan bahwa para lulusan merasa puas dengan pelayanan dan fasilitas universitas. Mereka menemukan bahwa pelatihan yang diberikan oleh program pendidikan Matematika memadai dan relevan dengan keterampilan dan kompetensi yang mereka butuhkan dalam pekerjaan mereka.KATA KUNCI: Lulusan Berkualitas; Program Pendidikan Matematika; Studi Pelacakan Alumni; Karakteristik Biografi; Kepuasan Lulusan.   About the Authors: Rene R. Abstract

RESUME: Masyarakat Sunda di Jawa Barat telah menjadikan tahu Sumedang sebagai makanan favorit dan merupakan menu sehari-hari yang tak terpisahkan dari masakan khas dan tradisional bagi masyarakat Indonesia. Fungsi produksi, konsumsi, dan distribusi terhadap tahu Sumedang yang dilakukan dari, oleh, dan untuk masyarakat telah menciptakan sistem ekonomi yang ada didalam masyarakat, khususnya dalam manajemen wisata kuliner. Tahu Sumedang sangat penting fungsi dan peranannya dalam kehidupam masyarakat Sunda pada khususnya dan masyarakat Indonesia, dan bahkan dunia, pada umumnya. Jika dikelola dan dipasarkan secara baik dan profesional, maka pembuatan tahu Sumedang akan mengalami peningkatan yang luar biasa, yang pada gilirannya membawa kesejahteraan bagi masyarakat di satu sisi, serta bagi kesehatan masyarakat di sisi lain, karena tahu telah menjadi bagian integral dalam pola dan menu makanan sehari-hari secara massal. Dengan menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan penjelasan deskriptif, kajian ini menunjukan bahwa kesehatan dan kesejahteraan adalah dua hal yang sangat dibutuhkan oleh masyarakat. Makanan yang sehat merupakan dambaan masyarakat, dan makanan yang bisa diproduksi, didistribusi, dan dikonsumsi secara massal juga pada gilirannya akan mendatangkan kesejahteraan bagi masyarakat. Dalam konteks ini, tahu Sumedang adalah jenis makanan yang sangat penting, karena bisa mendatangkan kesehatan dan kesejahteraan masyarakat. Karena itu, penelitin dan kajian terhadap tahu Sumedang tidak hanya melibatkan ilmu-ilmu sains murni dan kesehatan masyarakat, tetapi juga ilmu-ilmu sosial dan kemanusiaan, mengingat dampaknya yang luas bagi kesehatan dan kesejahteraan masyarakat.KATA KUNCI: Tahu Sumedang; Kesehatan; Kesejahteraan; Masyarakat Sunda; Makanan Tradisional. ABSTRACT: “Sumedang Tofu as Healthy and Nutritious Food for Sundanese People: A Study of Social Science for Health”. Sundanese people in West Java have made Sumedang tofu as a favorite food and as an everyday menu that is inseparable of traditional cuisine for the people of Indonesia. The function of production, consumption, and distribution of Sumedang tofu conducted from, by, and for community has created the existing economic system in society, especially in culinary tourism management. Sumedang tofu has very important function and its role in life of Sundanese society in particular and Indonesian society, and even world, in general. If managed and marketed properly and professionally, Sumedang tofu will a remarkable increase, which in turn brings prosperity to the community on the one hand, as well as to public health on the other, due to tofu has become an integral part of the diet and pattern food everyday for massive society. By using qualitative method with descriptive explanation, this study shows that health and welfare are two things that are needed by society. Healthy food is the desire of society, and foods that can be produced, distributed, and consumed as massive will also in turn bring welfare to society. In this context, Sumedang tofu is a very important type of food, because it can bring health and welfare of the community. Abstract

RESUME: Implementasi MEA (Masyarakat Ekonomi ASEAN), yang telah berlangsung sejak akhir 2015, memberikan banyak peluang bagi semua negara ASEAN (Association of South East Asian Nations), karena akan terjadi aliran barang, jasa, investasi, dan tenaga kerja secara bebas. Keberadaan UKM (Usaha Kecil Menengah) perlu mendapat perhatian khusus dan perlu melakukan strategi-strategi sehingga dapat memanfaatkan peluang MEA. Melalui metode kualitatif, kajian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis keberhasilan transformasi SAU (Saung Angklung Udjo) di Bandung, Jawa Barat, Indonesia, sebagai salah satu industri pariwisata kreatif yang berkembang selama lebih dari 50 tahun. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa Udjo Ngalagena, pendiri SAU, berhasil mengemas dan memberikan nilai tambah terhadap angklung dalam kegiatan produksi, pendidikan, dan pertunjukan, sehingga memberikan berbagai dampak riil bagi masyarakat. Melalui konsep POPIS (Physical capital, Organizational capital, Political capital, Intellectual capital, and Socio-cultural capital) terlihat bagaimana berbagai modal mempengaruhi terjadinya transformasi SAU. SAU berhasil melakukan transformasi yang bersifat “incremental” atau berkelanjutan. Keberhasilan transformasi bisnis adalah kunci yang menjadikan SAU berkembang dari usaha berskala mikro menjadi usaha berskala menengah; dan menjadi pelaku industri kreatif angklung terbesar di dunia. KATA KUNCI: Usaha Kecil Menengah; Kreativitas; Seni Tradisi; Saung Angklung Udjo; Masyarakat Ekonomi ASEAN. ABSTRACT: “Transformation of Small and Medium Enterprises Based on Creativity of Tradition Art: Case Study of Udjo’s Angklung House in Bandung, West Java”. Implementation of the AEC (ASEAN Economic Community) at the end of 2015, that allows free movement of goods, services, capital, and high skilled labor, provided many opportunities for all ASEAN (Association of South East Asian Nations) countries. In dealing with this implementation, small and medium enterprises need a special attention, especially in how they should devise strategies that can take advantage of AEC. Through qualitative methods, this study aims to analysis the success of the transformation of SAU (Saung Angklung Udjo or Udjo’s Angklung House) as one of the creative tourism industry that developed for over 50 years. This article argues Udjo Ngalagena, a founder SAU, has succeeded in creating and providing added value to angklung, especially in production activities, education, and entertainment. This added value, thus, provides a variety of real impact for the surrounding local community. By employing the concept of POPIS (Physical capital, Organizational capital, Political capital, Intellectual capital, and Socio-cultural capital), this paper shows how the various capital has also affected the transformation of SAU that can be characretized as incremental or continuous. Abstract

ABSTRACT: Schools, which cater for children from different cultural backgrounds and cultural heterogeneity, should be regarded as an opportunity venue to emphasize citizenship education. In the context of nation-state in a regional and to contribute to shaping the discourse on emerging ASEAN (Association of South East Asian Nations) identity, a research on competencies in Civic Education is being proposed. With the advent of ASEAN Integration in 2015, South East Asian nations, specially the Philippines, must develop and prepare policy based curriculums and pedagogical approaches appropriate to the level of competencies of students. The research, using the qualitative method, focuses on how competencies of teachers in selected Normal Schools in Civic Education are being developed. This article shows that Civic Education, as a subject, should integrate human rights and peace education, so as to determine how to blend together the particular and the universal, the national and the international, and the individual and the society. A need to support youth-led initiatives and partnerships with civil society is also needed. A need in maintaining stakeholders and actors to be open to different, but effective venues and solutions. Refocusing the minds of the students by stressing that citizens must be aware of their rights and they must also exercise them responsibly to a self-governing, free, and just society.KEW WORD: Citizenship Education; Civic Competencies; Teacher Development; Normal Schools; Civil Society. RESUME: “Kompetensi Kewarganegaraan dalam Pengembangan Guru di Sekolah-sekolah Keguruan”. Sekolah, yang diperuntukkan bagi anak-anak dari berbagai latar belakang budaya dan heterogenitas budaya, harus dianggap sebagai wahana untuk menekankan pendidikan kewarganegaraan. Dalam konteks negara-bangsa di suatu kawasan dan untuk berkontribusi dalam membentuk wacana tentang identitas ASEAN (Perhimpunan Negara-negara Asia Tenggara) yang baru, sebuah penelitian tentang kompetensi dalam Pendidikan Kewarganegaraan telah dan sedang diajukan. Dengan dimulainya Integrasi ASEAN pada tahun 2015, negara-negara Asia Tenggara, khususnya Filipina, harus mengembangkan dan menyiapkan kurikulum berbasis kebijakan dan pendekatan pedagogis yang sesuai dengan tingkat kompetensi siswa. Penelitian ini, dengan menggunakan metode kualitatif, berfokus pada bagaimana kompetensi guru di Sekolah Keguruan yang dipilih dalam Pendidikan Kewarganegaraan sedang dikembangkan. Artikel ini menunjukan bahwa Pendidikan Kewarganegaraan, sebagai subjek, harus mengintegrasikan pendidikan hak asasi manusia dan perdamaian, untuk menentukan bagaimana memadukan antara yang khusus dan yang universal, nasional dan internasional, serta individu dan masyarakat. Kebutuhan untuk mendukung prakarsa dan kemitraan yang dipimpin pemuda dengan masyarakat sipil juga dibutuhkan. Kebutuhan untuk mempertahankan pemangku kepentingan dan individu agar terbuka terhadap berbagai tempat dan solusi yang berbeda namun efektif. Abstract

RESUME: Secara pedagogis, kurikulum adalah rancangan pendidikan yang memberi kesempatan kepada peserta didik untuk mengembangkan potensi dirinya dalam suatu suasana belajar yang menyenangkan dan sesuai dengan kemampuan dirinya agar memiliki kualitas yang diinginkan oleh masyarakat dan bangsanya. Dalam konteks sejarah pendidikan di Indonesia, setidaknya telah terjadi delapan kali perubahan kurikulum, diantaranya adalah Kurikulum 2013 atau K-13, yang sekaligus merupakan kurikulum pertama yang memiliki dasar-dasar pemikiran yang progresif. Ini terkait dengan penggunaan filsafat Rekonstruksionisme Sosial dan Teori Gestalt sebagai landasan pengembangannya. Atas dasar kedua teori filsafat itu pula, Kurikulum 2013 mampu mewahanai prinsip keterpaduan, keutuhan, atau integralitas antar-konten atau isi kurikulum; antara konten kurikulum dengan realitas kehidupan; serta berorientasi pada pembentukan pengetahuan, sikap, dan keterampilan fungsional secara terintegrasi. Termasuk integrasi kajian keagamaan di dalam semua mata pelajaran di sekolah. Tulisan ini, dengan menggunakan metode kualitatif, berusaha untuk mengkaji dan mendeskripsikan dimensi-dimensi sikap keagamaan dalam Kurikulum 2013, baik dalam mata pelajaran Pendidikan Agama maupun mata-mata pelajaran lain di pendidikan dasar dan menengah; integrasi kompetensi sikap keagamaan dalam IPS (Ilmu Pengetahuan Sosial); dan model pengorganisasian pembelajaran IPS-Tematik dalam rangka pembentukan dan aktualisasi sikap keagamaan dalam realitas kehidupan bermasyarakat, berbangsa, dan bernegara.KATA KUNCI: Aktualisasi; Sikap Keagamaan; Ranah Sosial; Ilmu Pengetahuan Sosial; Kurikulum 2013. ABSTRACT: “Actualization of Religious Attitudes in Social Domain: A Reconstruction of the Social Studies Role in the Development of Religious Attitude”. Pedagogically, the curriculum is an educational plan that provides the opportunity for the learners to develop their own potential in a pleasant learning environment and in accordance with his/her ability to have the desired quality of society and nation. In the context of education history in Indonesia, at least it has eight times the curriculum reform, among the changes is the Curriculum 2013 or C-2013, which is the first curriculum has a progressive thinking. This is connected with the use of Social Reconstructionist Philosophy and Gestalt Theory for its development. Based on this, the Curriculum 2013 can integrate between curriculum contents; curriculum contents with the realities of life; and focused on to the creation of functional knowledge, attitudes, and skills integrally. Including it is the integration of religious study in all subjects of curriculum. Abstract

SOSIOHUMANIKA: Jurnal Pendidikan Sains Sosial dan Kemanusiaan. This journal, with print ISSN 1979-0112, was firstly published on May 20, 2008 in the context to commemorate One Millenium of National Awakening Day in Indonesian. The SOSIOHUMANIKA journal is published twice a year i.e. every May and November. For period 2013 to 2018, the SOSIOHUMANIKA journal has been accredited by Ditjendikti Kemdikbud RI (Directorate-General of Higher Education, Ministry of Education and Culture of the Republic of Indonesia). Abstract

RESUME: Pekerja lepas merupakan bagian dari pegawai yang bekerja di lembaga-lembaga pemerintah. Pekerja lepas mulai diangkat sejak masa kolonial Belanda dalam menyikapi membengkaknya jumlah pengangguran pada tahun 1930-an. Pada masa itu, pemerintah lebih banyak mengangkat pekerja lepas daripada pegawai negeri. Pada dekade 1950-an, pemerintah Republik Indonesia mengangkat pekerja lepas secara besar-besaran. Pemogokan pekerja lepas yang diikuti oleh PNS (Pegawai Negeri Sipil) di Jawa Barat tahun 1952 dikendalikan oleh SOBSI (Sentral Organisasi Buruh Seluruh Indonesia), organisasi “onderbouw” PKI (Partai Komunis Indonesia). Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengungkap faktor-faktor yang melatarbelakangi pemogokan, peran SOBSI dalam pemogokan, dan dampak yang ditimbulkan dari pemogokan tersebut. Dalam penelitian ini, penulis menggunakan teori aksi kolektif model mobilisasi “broken negosiations” atau kesepakatan yang batal dari Charles Tilly (1978 dan 2003), yang mempunyai ciri utama terjadinya eksploitasi dari penguasa. Pemerintah Pusat melakukan pembatalan peraturan upah pekerja, yang dikeluarkan oleh Pemerintah Daerah Provinsi Jawa Barat. Kebijakan tersebut diprotes oleh pekerja yang berujung pada pemogokan. Dalam penulisan ini juga digunakan pendekatan strukturasi dari Anthony Giddens (2010). Panitia Aksi SOBSI, sebagai agensi, lahir karena adanya “constraining” atau kendala, kemudian agensi berkesempatan untuk mengubahnya atau “enabling”. Pemogokan berhasil melahirkan Peraturan Pemerintah Nomor 31 Tahun 1954 tentang Pekerja Pemerintah. Pemogokan tersebut berdampak positif bagi kesejahteraan pekerja lepas di seluruh Indonesia, organisasi SOBSI, dan pemerintah yang berkaitan dengan urusan pekerja lepas.KATA KUNCI: Pekerja Lepas; Pemogokan; Jawa Barat; Pemerintah; Organisasi Buruh. ABSTRACT: “Freelance Workers’ Strike in West Java Province in 1952”. The freelancers are part of employees working in government institutions. Freelance workers began to be appointed since the Dutch colonial era in addressing the swelling of unemployment in the 1930s. At that time, the government had more freelance workers than civil servants. In the decade of the 1950s, the government of the Republic of Indonesia lifted freelance workers on a large scale. The freelance workers’ strike which followed by civil servants in West Java occured in 1952 was controlled by the SOBSI (Central of Labor Organization of Indonesia) as the substructure of PKI (Indonesian Communist Party). The aim of this research is to reveal the cause of the strike, the role of SOBSI, and the effect of its strike. The theory used in this research is collective action model of broken negosiations. The theory was written by Charles Tilly (1978 and 2003) with exploitation from government as its characterization. The Central Government cancelled the regulation of workers’s salary which designed by Local Government of West Java Province. That decision was excepted by workers which led to the strike. The structuration approach of Anthony Giddens (2010) was used in this research. Action Commitee of SOBSI as an agency was born from constraining and the agency has a chance to change it (enabling). The workers strike was successful in delivering Government Regulation Number 31 in 1954 concerning on municipal’s workers. The strike had a positive effect for workers’s welfare throughout Indonesia, SOBSI, and government itself, which related to workers matter. Abstract

ABSTRACT: Role play is the main important technique in CLT (Communicative Language Teaching), as it gives students a lot of prospects to practice communicating of various social contexts and in different social roles. To set sight on role play by means to look at EFL (English as a Foreign Language) teacher’s experience and students’ perspectives of role play technique enactment in teaching speaking by using qualitative design. This study provided framework for the instrument of observation sheet adapted from J. Brown (2001), field notes adapted from C. Marshall & G.B. Rossman (2006), and interview guide adapted also questionnaire from P. Islami & T. Islami (2013). The methodology designated the combination of four mountainsides to expose in-depth the urgency of role play in which applied since 1936. The result of interview exposed that the English teacher claimed that role play is a technique applied to promote speaking and it is corroborated by the result of field note. In addition, speaking of students’ perspective depicted that the students indeed agreed themselves of the usefulness of role play to enhance their speaking skill and motivation. Thus, students asserted that the learning is more fun and enjoyable through role play. The researchers recommended to have a deep look at reasoning students’ point of view in terms of role play technique implementation in non-English class. And see ascertains how beneficial, it is in terms of role play in a large classroom.KEY WORD: Perspective; English as a Foreign Language; Setting Sight; Role Playing; Communication Skill. RESUME: “Menata Pengamatan pada Bermain Peran: Untuk Mengakomodasi atau Mengabaikan?”. Bermain peran adalah teknik penting dan utama dalam CLT (Pembelajaran Bahasa Secara Komunikatif), karena memberi siswa banyak prospek untuk berlatih mengkomunikasikan berbagai konteks sosial dan peran sosial yang berbeda. Mengacu pada permainan peran dengan cara melihat pengalaman guru EFL (Bahasa Inggris sebagai Bahasa Asing) dan perspektif siswa tentang teknik permainan peran dalam pengajaran berbicara dengan menggunakan desain kualitatif. Studi ini memberikan kerangka kerja untuk instrumen lembar observasi yang diadaptasi dari J. Brown (2001), catatan lapangan yang diadaptasi dari C. Marshall & G.B. Rossman (2006), dan panduan wawancara yang juga mengadaptasi kuesioner dari P. Islami & T. Islami (2013). Metodologi tersebut menetapkan kombinasi empat hal penting untuk mengungkapkan secara mendalam urgensi permainan peran yang diterapkan sejak 1936. Hasil wawancara mengungkapkan mengenai guru bahasa Inggris yang mengklaim bahwa bermain peran adalah teknik yang diterapkan untuk mempromosikan pembelajaran dan ini diperkuat oleh hasil catatan lapangan. Selain itu, berbicara tentang perspektif siswa menggambarkan bahwa para siswa benar-benar menyetujui kegunaan bermain peran untuk meningkatkan kemampuan berbicara dan motivasi mereka. Dengan demikian, siswa menegaskan bahwa pembelajaran lebih menyenangkan dan menggembirakan melalui bermain peran. Para peneliti merekomendasikan untuk melihat secara mendalam penalaran tentang sudut pandang siswa dalam hal penerapan teknik bermain peran di kelas non-Inggris.
