The research was started from October 2014 until December 2014. The research location was determined intentionally (purposive), i.e. Bauntung Market Banjarbaru, South Kalimantan. It was intended to know prices and marketing costs at the retailer level. The results showed that the analysis of marketing margins of the value of marketing margin was relatively constant/was not much different. Based on F test of all the factors that influenced the marketing margin, they were  free variable volume of marketing (X1), transportation costs (X4), cost of sales (X5) and profit of traders (X6), with 99% confidence level, it was found that there was no real effect on the marketing margin of tilapia. While the selling price (X2), the purchasing price (X3) at 99% confidence level really influenced the marketing margin of tilapia  in Banjarbaru. The analysis of market integration indicated that I () = 0867, which means that market integration was not perfectly integrated yet. This means that the marketing of tilapia in Bauntung Market Banjarbaru was in imperfect competitive market structure. The value of relationship of price changes amounted to 0.87 (r ≠ 1). This means that the relationship of price changes in traders level and the price change in retailers level were not strong (not perfect). The elasticity value of price transmission (ET) was low. The transmission elasticity was <1, the value was 0.763. This means that the price elasticity inelastic or in other words the market is not efficient. The benefits gained by retailers was in average Rp. 2.213,88-/kg.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the percentage of post-larva Giant Freshwater Prawn (Macrobrachium Rosenberg de Man) from genetic resources of  Kintap River, Pagatan River and Barito River. This study uses a completely randomized design with three treatments and three replications. The treatments were tested A: Genetic Resources Pagatan (Pg), B: Genetic Resources Kintap (Kt) and C: Genetic Resources Barito (Br). The results showed the genetic resources percentage  post larvae Pagatan provide the highest 76,67%, followed Barito and Last  Genetic Resources of Kintap 66,00%.  ANOVA results showed different genetic sources of influence on percentage post-larva. The results LSD test indicate  percentage Post Larvae was produced from  genetic source Pagatan different from the genetic resources Kintap, then genetic resources Pagatan not different from genetic resources Kintap, and so  percentage Post Larvae of genetic resources Barito not  different from the genetic source Kintap.

Abstract

This study aimed to determine the effects of the provision of arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi (AMF), the provision of lime, and the provision of NPK fertilizer, and the interaction effect of the provision of Arbuscular mycorrhizal fungi (AMF), lime and NPK fertilizers in promoting the growth of pinto peanut in the soil media of post-mining land. The research method used was a completely randomized design (CRD) three-factor factorial with the first factor is the type of inoculant FMA (M) = 3 levels, the second factor is the provision of lime (K) = 3 levels, and the third factor is the NPK fertilizer (P) = 3 levels. These results indicated that the interaction between AMF Glomus sp. and NPK fertilizer dose of 1 gram/polybag can increase height increase pinto peanut plants for 34.16 % of the controls. The interaction between AMF Gigaspora sp. The lime dose of 50 % Al-dd and Fertilizers NPK dose of 1 gram/polybag can increase the growth of leaves pinto peanut plants at 108.33 % of the controls. The interaction between AMF Glomus sp. and NPK fertilizer dose of 2 grams/polybag can increase canopy and root biomass pinto peanut plants at 245.21 % of the controls. The interaction between AMF Glomus sp. and NPK fertilizer dose of 2 grams/polybag can increase canopy and root biomass pinto peanut plants at 245.21 % of the controls. Level relative mycorrhizal dependency (RMD) was influenced by the type of AMF plant inoculated host. Highest RMD shown in pinto peanut using AMF Glomus sp. is 31.99% at moderately dependent.

Abstract

This study aims to (1) analyze the institutional capacity of fisheries surveillance in Barito Kuala regency; (2) analyze community participation in addressing the problems of illegal fishing; and (3) comparing the level of income of fishing communities before and after the formation of Pokmaswas against illegal fishing in Barito Kuala regency. The study activities carried out at Jejangkit Pasar Village, Jejangkit District, Barito Kuala Regency, South Kalimantan, with the object of research of Pokmaswas Berkat Bersama. The data collected were data sourced directly from the observation in the study location and other supporting data related to the study object. Data analyzed with descriptive and paired t – test to compare the capture production before and after illegal fishing.  The results showed that Barito Kuala regency had facilities that were intended for fish resource monitoring through patrols, conducting enforcement by regulatory authorities for fisheries, socialization of surveillance system of society based (SISWASMAS) but violations still occurred so that they gave the impression of ineffectiveness or not optimal surveillance activities undertaken in the prevention and treatment of illegal fishing, due to the lack of public understanding factors as well as economy factors. The level of participation of fishermen of Pokmaswas Berkat Bersama in the supervision of fishery resources was quite high, judging from the attitude of fishermen of Pokmaswas Berkat Bersama who mostly reported to the supervising apparatus when they saw illegal fishing activities, rebuked and advised, and ever discussed the issue of illegal fishing with their friends and were willing if they are involved in a meeting that discussed the illegal fishing. Results of the statistical analysis showed highly significant differences in capture production between before and after the occurrence of illegal fishing, where the fishermen average capture production of Pokmaswas Berkat Bersama of 2005 was 12.631 kg;  after illegal fishing in 2014 it was 3.642 kg, so it was decreased by 58%.

Abstract

The potential Fish Auction Place in the fish port of Muara Kintap is expected to become the center of economic growth and development of fisheries. The existence of the facility is an input to the process of the function implementation in Fish Auction Place which condition is related to its availability and number in the fish port. The facilities which are managed optimally will produce the optimum output anyway. This study aimed to identify the presence of TPI in the central area of the Muara Kintap in Kecamatan Tanah Laut which has the potential to be developed. This study uses descriptive qualitative research and literature survey.  Based on the survey results, it was revealed that the condition of Fish Auction Place (TPI) in the fish port of Muara Kintap in Kecamatan Tanah Laut did not implement a pure  auction, it was due to the basic facilities, unwell maintained functional and supporting tools, and also due to the collaboration of some merchants in controlling prices. Several attempts to optimize Fish Auction Place (TPI) including the addition of supporting facilities, such as clean water, cool boxes, scales and carts/baskets as well as banks as partners in financial institutions to access capitals for a business group of fishermen. The comfortable condition of loading and unloading activities, as well as sanitation and hygiene, really needs to be fulfilled, including the revitalization of the fish fleet. Ideally, in every region of fishery activities in a fishermen concentration area, a fish port should be built, or at least fish hauling with clean Fish Auction Unit, to meet the requirements of the integrated quality program so that the selling prices of fish caught by fishermen con be rewarded appropriately. SWOT analysis results  indicated that strategy chosen was the S - O (Strengths – Opportunities) which utilized all power of Muara Kintap Fish Port to take advantage of development opportunities as much as possible.
