Abstract

Species, temperature shock duration, fertilization temperature from different climates can cause different hatching results, so it is necessary to do research on the treatment of variations in heat shock at the same temperature, to obtain information about the hatching rate (HR) of African catfish (Clarias gariepinus). The method used is completely randomized design (3x3). The results of the egg hatching rate (HR), with variations in the heat shock at the same temperature (35?C), showed the highest rate of hatching dumbo catfish eggs at heat shock one minute 233.00%, then heat shock two minutes 212.00%, and heat shock three minutes 200.00% respectively.

Abstract

The One of the factors that influence the business of aquacultur is fish disease. For thisreason, it is necessary to carry out laboratory diagnosis of fish diseases to determine the healthstatus of fish and normal standards of fish blood picture. The research method used wasdescriptive with samples of Betok fish (Anabas testudineus Bloch), catfish (Clarias batracus),and catfish (Pangasius hypopthalmus) from fish traders at Banjarbaru market, with the observedhealth variables namely blood components Hematocrit (Hct), Erythrocytes (RBC). andhemoglobin (Hb). The results of the research for Betok fish (Anabas testudineus Bloch)obtained the value of Hct = 39%, RBC = 3.52 X106/mm3, Hb = 5.60 gr/dl. Catfish (Clariasbatracus) Hct=33,28%, RBC= 4,5x106/mm3, Hb=7.03 gr/dl. Patin (Pangasius hypopthalmus)obtained the value of Hct=24%, RBC=2,9X106/mm3, Hb=7.0 gr/dl. For the three types of fish, the Hematocrit (Hct) and Hemoglobin (Hb) parameters were still within normal limits. Then theerythrocyte (RBC) value of Betok fish (Anabas testudineus Bloch) was still within the normalthreshold. while the Erythrocyte (RBC) value of catfish (Clarias batracus) and catfish (Pangasiushypopthalmus) was higher than the normal limit so that the picture of catfish (Clarias batracus)and catfish (Pangasius hypopthalmus) experienced stress which was thought to be due tohandling when marketed

Abstract

The aim of this study was to obtain the best salinity for honey prawn (macro) egg prawn (Macrobrancium rosenbergii). This study used Completely Randomized Design, with three treatments and three replications. The results showed that with the salinity of 6 ‰ resulted in an average hatchability of 86.4%, with the salinity of 8 ‰ resulted in 70.5% hatchability, and at salinity 10 ‰ yielded hatchability of 56, 5%. The result of analysis of variance (ANOVA), hatching power of prawn egg very different between treatment. Water quality such as temperature, DO, and pH, during the study can still be tolerated by giant prawns. The results of this study recommend using a salinity of 6 ‰ to do hatching of prawn eggs.

Abstract

Fish after the egg-bag absorption phase require external feeding, in the form of fresh natural food organisms, such as phytoplankton, zooplankton, or aquatic insect larvae. These natural food organisms are limited in number. The business of mass production of natural food is still limited to several types originating from marine or brackish waters. For this type of natural freshwater fish feed, it is still limited to experimental materials. This study aims to determine the best dosage of Bioton liquid fertilizer added to the maintenance medium to the rate of population abundance of Moina sp. The research was conducted at the Wet Laboratory of Fisheries Cultivation Study Program, Faculty of Agriculture, Ahmad Yani University, Banjarmasin. The method used in this study was an experiment with a completely randomized design of 4 treatments and 3 replications. The treatment applied was 4 treatments with 3 repetitions, with the following treatment of Bioton liquid fertilizer: A = 5 ml / 3 l water, B = 10 ml / 3 l water, C = 15 ml / 3 l water, and D = without Bioton liquid fertilizer (control). The results showed that the abundance of Moina sp in treatment A = 4,333 ind / l, B = 3,633 ind / l, C = 2,700 ind / l and D = 3,034 ind / l. The ANOVA test results of all treatments were very significantly different, so accept H1, namely giving bioton with different doses had a significant effect on the abundance of Moina sp. The results of the LSD test of all treatments had a very significant difference in abundance, except for treatment D to treatment C which was significantly different, with the best treatment being a dose of 5 ml / 3 l of water (treatment A).
