Abstract

The influence of modernization needs to be balanced with physical and spiritual health so that people can work, human beings can accept, recognize and direct themselves. Healthy living is the dream and goal of every person. No one in this world expects his life to be sick, because in a state of sickness a human body will find it difficult to achieve his purpose in life. Among teenagers often occur deviant behaviors that interfere with health itself is also disrupt in the activity in school and environment.The moral degradation experienced by the younger generation is very important to be given guidance from parents, educators, community and government. Yoga practice implies the sradha strengthening and devotion to God, which can form the character of a virtuous, emotionally and spiritually intelligent young generation who is able to counteract the negative effects of globalization, provide peace of mind, body health and foster a sense of compassion for others, which can reduce stress. Yoga is included in the universal doctrine therefore everyone should be able to control all of his actions, protect, regulate and discipline his mind so as not to deviate from the teachings of dharma.

Abstract

In an attempt to build ethnic Hindu youth and ethnic youths who are ethical and intelligent according to Hindu teachings, Hindu youth must understand and apply the formula of Hindu teachings through understanding and application of Hindu philosophical teaching or tattwa or darsana, understanding and application of Hindu moral teachings, as well as appreciation and practice of the Hindu religious ceremony on a regular basis (nitya karma) as well as within the appointed time (naimitika karma). The three core formulations of the teachings of Hinduism according to the source in the Vedas, should be understood in full and berintegratif anatara one doctrine with other teachings that support each other and unite in implementation.The importance of Hindu youth to understand the meaning of the teachings of Hinduism through tattwa, also very useful also ethical or ethical Hindu material to be the basis of ground, apply, and berkarma, so that his movement leads to good deeds (susila or subhakarma). This is not the ideals of the Hindu youth, because the ideals of the Hindu youth are for the realization of wise young Hindu cadres (gunamantha), wisdom (prajna), intelligent wisesa), acting well (sadhu), doing right (sukarma or subhakarma ), diligent work (karmani) is not lazy to work (akarmani), apply full value (mulya karma), as well as being a good and right young (suputra-suputri).

Abstract

Developing IHDN Denpasar to be the State Hindu University has been the aspiration of the Hindu people in Indonesia. The development should be realized through developing the quality of the professionalism of the lecturer.. It plays significant role in improving the quality of the education. A lecturer is required to have a pedagogic competence, which is the skill of teaching, a personality, which includes character and maturity, a professional skill, which refers to the mastery of content and methods of teaching, and social skill, which is the ability in making interaction with students and people.

Abstract

Consultancy and counselling services are helps provided to individuals in order that they become personalities with insight, view, skill that they arevaluable in the societies. The Indonesian Government Regulation Nomor 20/2003 on the National Education System correctly states that councellors are educators, which means that those with the profession should produce work with high quality that they could develop students’ potentialities to reach success, both formally and socially. The works of a councellor depends on their qualification and competences that they gain from credible institutions. A councellor should be licensed and certified to indicate that he (she) has completed his (her) professional study and has been tested according to certain criteria given by a representative professional organisation or agency. This should be also supported with (1) dignity service, (2) tasked jobs, (3) healthy environment. These three can guarantee the maintenance of the professions.

Abstract

This article describes the role of Vāda-Vidyā for students at universities to improve the quality of education, which is still considered to be very low in Indonesia. Vāda-Vidyā is the science of discussion contained in the Nyaya Sutra for the sake of seeking the right knowledge. Vāda-Vidyā displays various theories that metaphysical-ontologically provide an overview of the sixteen categories (padartha), namely the things that must be mastered in order to achieve liberation through a true knowledge. Efforts to reach the right knowledge in epistemic described through four pramana, namely pratyaksha, anumana, upamana and sabdha. From the fourth pramana, pratyaksha is the most important, where three others depend. With a qualitative descriptive method, this article attempts to enter all the problems faced by Indonesian students by Kemendikbud through analysis of epistemology of Vāda-Vidyā. In principle, if Vāda-Vidyā can be correctly understood and actualized into learning activities, the quality of education in Indonesia will be improved.

Abstract

The low learning outcomes in mathematics at the State Elementary School in the material Sukasari summation of integers and the results of their study have not yet reached KKM (minimum completeness criteria) to overcome these problems, the researchers used instructional media as a tool to improve the learning outcomes of students. The research design used in this study are nonequivalent control group design. This research was conducted in two classes, experimental and control classes. Both of these classes are treated differently, grade control using conventional learning while the experimental class using the Media Chips Color. Data collection techniques used in this research is the observation and tests. To collect data in this study, the use of research instrument shaped observation sheets and test questions. Based on the analysis of data there are significant differences between the results of the pretest and posttest experimental class and there are differences in learning outcomes between the control group and the experimental group after treatment so that there are significant media use colored tile to the study of students in mathematics in elementary school then the hypothesis can be accepted.

Abstract

This study aims: (1) to know the application of the use of methods of discussion and recitation can improve the learning outcomes of Hindu religious education fourth graders Elementary School 2 Tumbu. (2) to find out constraints faced in using the method of assignment and recitation in the learning of Hindu religious education fourth grade students of SD Negeri 2 Tumbu.The type of this research is Classroom Action Research (PTK) with the subject of this research is the fourth grader of SD Negeri 2 Tumbu, the Hindu of 17 people from 22 students, consist of 10 men, and 7 women. The research was conducted at SD Negeri 2 Tumbu Karangasem. This research was conducted in two cycles. One cycle consists of preparation, execution, observation and reflection. Data collection is done by test method. Then the data is analyzed by quantitative descriptive technique.The results of this study is an increase in learning outcomes, the initial reflection of the average learning outcomes of Hindu religious education amounted to 54.7 with 29,41% complete learning. Then, in the first cycle the average learning outcomes of Hindu religious education increased to 69.4 and the classical completeness of 64.71% is still less than the classical completeness set 85%. Thus, learning in cycle I has not been completed. In cycle II the average learning outcomes of Hindu religious education increased to 79.1 and 100% classical completeness, thus the learning cycle II completed.

The Hulu Apad is a sporadic traditional Balinese organisation that is developing mainly in highland areas of the island. This writing studies the traditional Pakraman system of the organisation when seen from the Indonesian governmental democratic point of view, namely the process of deciding the system, the main task, and the function of every   representation of the organisation at a village.
