Abstract

Human nature,  in terms of education, according Lengeveld is educabile animal, namely being able to be educated; educandum animal, the creature must be educated; education homo, that being on the side can and should be educated can and should educate. The role of education in fostering personality summed up in the goals of education derived or determined by the principle of ontological view and axiologis. Man is the subject, as well as objects of education. Cultured adult human is the subject of education in the sense of responsible education. Human undertaking to foster the commuity, preserve the natural environment together, primarily responsible for the dignity of humanity.Based on the analysis of the structure of the human soul and personality, the human behavior is determined by the source and the id, ego, and superego.  Therefore, compulsory education is deepened to better understand of human behavior or character. In particular, for educational purposes, to understand human nature, personality, means to understand individual interests, aspirations, potentials, and personal identity, and are fundamental to the effectiveness of the educatonal process, an obligation also to respect the dignity, personality, and uniqueness of a person in order to self-realization.Science of life for science education is a very valueble complementation. Pedagogic without the same life science with practice without theory. Education without understanding the human means to build something without knowing for what, how, and why people are educated. Without an understanding of the people, the unique nature of the individual, and the potential that it will be fostered, then education would be misdirected. Even without the good sense, then education would rape human nature.

Abstract

Peran Tat Twam Asi sangatlah penting bagi kehidupan yang harmonis dan damai. Dari lingkup yang paling kecil dalam sebuah keluarga hingga lingkup yang lebih besar, yaitu dalam sebuah negara, bahkan di dunia. Kehidupan yang damai tidak mungkin dapat diwujudkan tanpa adanya toleransi yaitu sikap saling menghormati, menghargai, memahami, maupun saling menerima adanya perbedaan yang ada. Karena perbedaan adalah sebuah keniscayaan yang tidak dapat kita hindari. Susastra Suci Weda mengajarkan tentang sebuah nilai yang dapat kita terapkan dalam kehidupan sehari-hari sebagai upaya mewujudkan kehidupan yang rukun dan damai. Sebuah nilai luhur yang harus dilestarikan dan patut kita tumbuh suburkan dalam sikap hidup keseharian kita. Ajaran Tat Twan Asi merupakan dasar dari Tata Susila Hindu di dalam usaha untuk mencapai perbaikan moral. Susila adalah tingkah laku yang baik dan mulia untuk membina hubungan yang selaras dan seimbang serta rukun di antara sesama. Sebagai landasan dalam membina hubungan yang selaras, maka kita dapat mengimplementasikan ajaran Tat Twan Asi ini dengan dengan beberapa cara: 1) Melakukan perbuatan yang sesuai dengan ajaran agama maupun norma yang berlaku dalam masyarakat yang timbul dari hati kita sendiri (bukan merupakan paksaan). 2) Bertanggung jawab atas segala tindakan yang kita lakukan. 3) Lebih mendahulukan kepentingkan bersama dari pada kepentingan pribadi.

Abstract

Culturally Indonesian society does not have a high literacy culture. The results of the research program for International Student Assessment PISA) mentions, cultural literacy rate of Indonesian society the second worst from 65 countries that are examined in the world. Indonesia occupies the sequence to 64 from 65 countries. While Vietnam thus occupy the century . On the same research, PISA also put the position of the read the students of Indonesia in order to 57 from 65 countries  that are examined. Indonesia has experienced an emergency literacy rate. The culture of literacy must be forced and accustomed to become the culture. This literacy culture will affect the quality of education and human resources that are produced. The problem of the low literacy rate, especially in the education line, not only the responsibility of the government. Needed a serious and sustainable synergy, both in the family, schools, universities, even the community to realize that literacy become main culture.

Abstract

There is one way to form a child’s character is with a tale or a story where in Balinese life we called satua or  masatua. Satua is a part of lisan literary once as a work of grain Graine literature, unattached to the temple and rhythm as well. Although satua is as one of the local obscension wisdom of the ancestral legacy and has been there for a long time, but this is still relevant to be used as one of the tools in developing way of life, personality, characteristics and a wisdom for people in Bali and of course based on the rule as a Balinese in the community. One of the best example of the satua called “Men Tiwas Teken Men Sugih” or the life between the poor and the rich. By using semiotic Peirce approach, and through the way of life from the poor family in the character, this article would emphasise a moral message regarding the behavior of the decreators. By this means that we can take an example to educate the young children what is the meaning of life and also to increase the quality of humanity to child

Abstract

The goal of this research was to determine the effect of extrinsic learning motivation (learning motivation that comes from lecturers in online lectures) on Discrete Mathematics quality of learning outcomes. Data was collected from 30 lecture students in Informatics Management Faculty of AMIK Bina Sriwijaya Palembang, who take  Discrete Mathematics as their subject, by using a random sampling method. The measured variables are extrinsic learning motivation and discrete mathematics quality of learning outcomes. Simple regression analysis is used in testing the effect of extrinsic learning motivation on Discrete Mathematics quality of learning outcomes. The results of the research using 30 respondents showed that the correlation coefficient of 0.449, which means the corelation between the two variables in the medium category and the coefficient of determination 0.201 which means that lecture students quality of learning outcomes are influenced by extrinsic learning motivation (learning motivation originating from lecturers in online lectures) by 20.1%. Based on data analysis, the regression coefficient is positive (+) so it can be concluded that the increasing extrinsic learning motivation (learning motivation originating from lecturers in online lectures) will affect the increase in lecture students quality of learning outcomes.

Abstract

Students at higher education institutions are definitely adults who should be encouraged and given motivation to be the 'adult' learners. Each student has diverse characteristics that will make them ultimately bring different perspectives to the class (different types of backgrounds, learning styles, experiences, and aspirations). Therefore, educators are no longer possible to use conventional methods in cultivating the values to students to get them to be adult learners. The psychological condition of adults will encourage the teaching and learning process to be more directed to the Student-Centered Learning. This method is built on the principles of active learning constructive, some social activity, mental reflection, implementation of prior knowledge, and so forth. The learning process is a reflection cycle (about what happened), the idea of a thing (or something that needs to be tested), action (trial to do something), and outcomes (concrete experience). Problem-Based Learning method is an option that can be used to support the activities of Student-Centered Learning for the use of problems in the learning process can trigger the curiosity of students that will lead them to be able to solve their own problems by giving a definition of a certain problem and specify the collected information. In this way, students will try to associate the information they have and be able to specify the topics they will learn more.

Abstract

This study aims to improve the basic skills of teaching sixth semester students of the Hindu Education Study Program STKIP Agama Hindu Amlapura 2016/2017 academic year through the application of peer teaching simulation based on Nyaya Darsana technique. The subjects in this study were the sixth semester students of the Hindu Education Study Program 2016/2017 academic year totaling 31 people. The data in this study were collected by tests and the results were analyzed quantitatively supported by qualitative interpretations. The results show that the application of peer teaching simulation with Nyaya Darsana technique can improve the basic teaching skills of the sixth semester students of the Hindu Education Study Program STKIP Agama Hindu Amlapura 2016/2017 academic year from the percentage of success in the first cycle of 87,10% to 93,55% in cycle II. Meanwhile, the average value also increased from 73.42 in the first cycle to 74,97 in the second cycle. Therefore, the application of peer teaching simulation with Nyaya Darsana technique is recommended to be used in lectures that target the formation of skills or competencies of prospective teachers.

Abstract

Technology becomes a thing that has an influence on the life needs of society as a whole, both to fulfill economic, social, cultural and educational needs. One of the things that is concerned by the government at this time is the progress of the quality of education which is the basis for educating the Indonesian people as a whole. The breakthrough made by the government to improve the quality of education is to implement a curriculum based learning system (K-13) in which students both at the elementary school level, junior high school and high school must be creative and innovative in implementing learning in the classroom. The application of this curriculum cannot be separated from the use of technology where teachers and students can develop dynamic and fun learning. One of the subjects offered in K-13 learning is language learning where these subjects become the foundation of students to carry out communication and interaction everyday. Therefore, the aim of the study is to know how to improve quality in language learning in SMAN-1 Katingan Hulu, Katingan Regency.
