Abstract

Qualitative disorders of communication are one of the characteristics possessed by children with autism. In children with autism occurred late speech development and the child is trying to communicate nonverbally. In this study tested method of Pecs (Picture Exchange Communication System) is an approach that can be used as an alternative to training communication autistic children. This method adjusts the communication characteristics and uniqueness of children with autism. This research aims to develop an approach to improve the communication skills of children with autism before and after the intervention and the extent of influence methods of Pecs in improving the communication skills of children with autism. The subjects were two autistic children who experience barriers to communication. The method used is an experimental method with the approach of Single Subject Research design A-B-A. The results showed that the mean level of capability to the subject 1 in the communication capabilities at baseline-A (A-1) of 4.7 in the intervention phase obtaining the mean level of 6.5, while the baseline phase-2 (A-2) after a given intervention get the mean level of 10. the early ability subject 2 in communication skills at baseline-A (A-1) of 5.7 in the intervention phase obtaining the mean level of 7.63, whereas the baseline phase-2 (A-2) after being given intervention to get the mean level of 11. the results of the study the two subjects above results in improved communication skills of children with autism in both subjects. Keywords : Communication Skills, Autistic, Pecs ( Picture Exchange Communication System)

Abstract

Keluarga  sebagai lembaga pendidikan yang pertama dan utama bagi seorang anak mempunya peran yang sangat besar untuk membekali anak menuju kehidupannya. Sesuai UUSPN No 20 tahun 2003, pendidikan adalah tanggung jawab bersama antara keluarga, masyarakat dan pemerintah, Pentingnya kemitraan sekolah dan keluarga adalah: 1)  Keluarga adalah pendidik yang pertama dan utama, tetapi dalam praktiknya masih banyak keluarga yang menyerahkan sepenuhnya tanggung jawab pendidikan anak pada sekolah, 2) Peran sekolah adalah membantu keluarga agar pelaksanaan pendidikan lebih sistimatis, efektif, dan hasilnya tersertifikasi, 3) Tidak semua kebutuhan pendidikan anak dapat dipenuhi oleh satuan pendidikan maupun keluarga, 4) Kerjasama keluarga dengan satuan pendidikan mutlak diperlukan, 5)Satuan pendidikan wajib mendorong kemitraan dan pelibatan keluarga dalam memajukan pendidikan anak mereka. Berdasarkan berbagai hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa dengan adanya kolaborasi antara keluarga dan sekolah berpengaruh meningkatkan kemajuan dan kesusksesan anak-anaknya. Kata kunci: Keluarga,kemitraan, pengaruh kolaborasi

Abstract

The low learning motivation and learning outcomes in basic nursing courses in addition to the material presented allegedly less attractive, as well as lectures,  is not supported by appropriate learning media. Through this research will study whether the use of a computer learning media presenter i-spring can increase learning motivation and learning outcomes of students. This research is expected to produce a concept of learning by utilizing i-spring media presenter. The study was conducted using a quantitative approach with quasi-experimental design methods to develop nonequivalent control group design. The instrument used in this study, questionnaires and tests. By using the Test Statistic t, a picture that media are learning the material on the nutritional needs of basic nursing courses using instructional media i-spring presenter, can significantly increase student motivation and learn outcomes. Based on these results was a recommendation to the faculty, it would be better if the learning media i-spring presenter in completing the application program powerpoint. Those materials other lectures. Because the use of instructional media, the students not only enthusiastic (motivated) interact in lectures but shows the results of evaluation of the learning increased. Because the medium of learning many forms and types, in addition to the i-spring presenter, For next researchers can examine the factors - factors that affect learning computer i-spring presenter and study the development of e-learning with one i-spring program presenters included
