Abstract

The issue in this research is still low percentage breast-fed exclusive and high the percentage of granting dishes - breast milk early in infants 0-11 month in districts chart of the western region of work puskesmas Bangko Rokan Hilir. This research aimed at granting dishes - breast milk early to see relations with nutrition status of baby 0-11 months in districts chart of the western region of work puskesmas Bangko Rokan Hilir. This research is research quantitative with the type of design research cross sectional. Held in districts chart of the western region of work puskesmas bangko rokan hilir from the date 20 may to 20 june 2011, with the number of samples taken with 67 a respondent who uses the technique proportionate random sampling. An interview conducted with a method of collecting data and analysis using a questionnaire used is univariat, bivariat duiji by test chi-square and multivariate tested with the regression safinat logistic uppercut. This research result got that the prevalence of malnutrition by 31,1 %.The average age of granting dishes - breast milk early & < six months of 59,7 %.Analysis of the results obtained the multivariate meaningfui relations between the provision of dishes - breast milk early with nutrition status of baby 0-11 months. An infant who is given dishes - breast milk < six months have a chance the baby ' s status is not normal nutrition 16,694 times compared with an infant who is given dishes - breast milk > six months after controlled by education, knowledge and work

Abstract

The low free larva indeks in the Singkuang village which is 41% and not in accordance with the national standard is more or equal to 95%. This study aims to determine the behavior of the public about the 3M Plus of free larvae of the Singkuang Village District of Kampar, Kampar regency in 2014. The kind of research used in this study is Analytical observational cross-sectional design. This study by distributing questionnaires and observations. The total sample are 112 household in the Singkuang village. The analysis used univariate analysis with frequency distribution is and bivariate analysis with the chi-square statistical test. The results showed that there is correlation of public knowledge about 3M Plus the free larvae ( p value = 0.005 ) , public attitudes about 3M Plus toward the free larvae ( p value = 0.002 )there is not correlation of community action against 3M Plus free larvae ( p value = 0.053 ). All variables associated with free larvae. From the results of this study suggested the need to increase public knowledge by doing more intensive counseling , increased collaboration between public health officials with the society of Ranah Singkuang village District of Kampar, Kampar regency

Abstract

The amount of medical waste comes from health facilities are expected more increasing. Based on Indonesia Health Profile 2008, amount of health centers reached 8,548 units. Management of medical waste from hospitals, health centers, clinics and medical laboratories in Indonesia is still under professional standards. In Pekanbaru city does not have accurate data on medical waste management in health centers, and therefore it necessary related research to see the extent of medical waste management health centers. This study aims to determine the medical waste management in health centers as the city of Pekanbaru. Type of research is descriptive qualitative, study was conducted in 20 health centers in Pekanbaru. The number of informants in this study were 21 people consisting of 20 holders of environmental health programs each health center and 1 holder of the environmental sanitation program at the City Health Office. Instrument research using in-depth interviews and observation sheets. Results reveal that a health center of Pekanbaru city has done a medical waste management ranging from segregation, collection, storage, transportation, yet at the stage of annihilation still less than the maximum. Constraints faced was funding the operation and maintenance personnel as well as there is no incinerator machine is not functioning properly

Abstract

The office is the neighborhood where work and must be fulfilled the provisions in the workplace ( health, safety and welfare ). Although the office in general is considered safe, but in it still contain health danger that can lead to serious injury. One form of a nuisance that can arise due to a work environment especially in a work environment office is pain the lower back. Population in this research are employees stikes hang tuah pekanbaru who works as a staff of academic.While a sample in this research is the whole population of which satisfies the criteria as a sample in research. The aim of this research to analyze the relationship of Ergonomic Desk Chair and Posture With Low Back Pain on Office Employees. The research method is Analytic Cross Sectional Study with sampling method and 63 employes as sample. Independent variable of this research is body mass index, age, posture, ergonomic desk chair, working time and working olg. Analysis is doing by univariat, bivariate and multivariate. The result obtained is 3 variables that relationship With Low Back Pain on Office Employees that is, body mass index, age, posture. From multivariate analysis acquired that bad posture the most dominant variable that relationship with Low Back Pain, 40 time having low back pain more than worker that good posture (CI 95% : OR = 40).

Abstract

Sexually transmitted infection ( STI ) is an infection spread by sexual contact and non sexual caused variety of bacteria, virus parasait, fungi and ticks. According to the World Health Organitation (WHO) each year there are approximately 350 million new STI sufferer in a country grown including Indonesia where 15.4% occur in women sex workers. The purpose of this research was to find out how the behavior of the myth of the prevention of STI incidence in women workers at a massage parlor Dumai city. This type of research quantitative analytic with cross sectional design research. Sampling using total sampling by the number of respondents 40 people. Data collection using the questionnaire. Analysis of data by test chi square. The results showed 67.5% of respondents suspect infected with STI. Statistical tests are obtained results there were relationship behavior myths with STI prevention in women workers in a massage parlor. Myth of the variable washing genitals with SOAP, alcohol, soda water, water decoction of betel leaf, ginger juice before or after having sex with the suspect sexually transmitted Infection in women Working in a massage parlor has a value of POR (95% CI) of the 6.08 (1,540 - 23,992) sexually transmitted in women workers at a massage parlor Dumai. Expected health workers and NGOs particularly Dumai further enhance cooperation in enhancing women's knowledge workers in a massage parlor in order not to wrong perceptions about the myth of the prevention of STI

Abstract

Teens encounter natural changes which often cause unexpected serious impacts, such as the increasing rate of abortion cases, unwanted pregnancies, and sexually transmitted diseases. Cited from WHO, developed countries are more likely to have the highest rate of teen’s sexuality. Pekanbaru is a city with the highest rate of teen’s sexuality in Riau. In the context of overcoming the problems on teenagers and eliminating HIV/AIDS cases as the focus of MDG’s 2015, the Health Department is in charge of implementing Health Service on Teens Care (abbreviated in Indonesian, PKPR). This is a qualitative research conducted from June 29 to July 17, 2012. In-depth Interview on eight persons was conducted, and ten teens suspected in teen’s sexuality participated in Focus Group Discussion (FGD). Based on the input component result, there is no particular government regulation on teen’s problems. There are already responsible persons for the health workers and for each activity, and the guidebook from the Ministry of Health of Indonesia. On the other hand, particularly allocated budget for PKPR is not yet specified. Since it is still merged with the one allocated for other programs, there are limited activities are possibly conducted, and limited counseling patterns. Then, the process component result shows that advocacy is already performed. There are socialization, training, and counseling for teenagers, and also screening program for school students. Monitoring and evaluation format are arranged even though the data entry process is not in line with the specified format. Based on output component result, the implementation of PKPR accomplished only 0.32% from 80% targeted. In accordance with this research, Pekanbaru Health Department is considered requiring special division on teens care in order to design implementation SOPs based on the existing problems at Health Centers

Abstract

Caring is a comprehensive phenomenon that can affect the way people think, feel and have a relationship with fellow. Caring behavior can be realized due to lack of motivation of both internal and external. This research aims to determine the relationship of work motivation on nurses caring behaviors in the patient room at Tampan Pshyciatric Hospital, Riau Province. Type a descriptive study with cross sectional correlation. Sampling technique with non-probability sampling sample size by 56 respondents, measuring tools in the form of questionnaires and observation sheets. The analysis used is univariate and bivariate analysis using chi-square test. The result shows revealed a significant relationship between work motivation on nurse caring behaviors in the patient room with (p value = 0.001). Expected to Section Diklit and nursing fields section to hold trainings for nurses related to caring behavior in implementing nursing care so as to improve the quality of nursing care to clients

Abstract

Aging process was an natural process which occured any changes at all body system of elderly, included cardiovascular system in which followed by main deseases were hypertension. The aim of this research was determined the factors related with hypertension on the elderly over 65 years. The data was collected on 87 elderly over 65 years old with hypertension whithin total sampling and also Fisher test as alternative test in factor heredity and obesity. The result showed there were relationship between heredity and hypertension with p value ≤ 0,05. There was no relationship between gender, obesity, smoking, stress, sport and hypertension with p value > 0,05. Recomended to elderly over 65 years old with hypertension to did routine blood pressure control and health officer should to promote health education about prevention of hypertension in elderly

Abstract

Knowledge was the resulted of human sensing that strongly influenced by the intensity of attention and object perception. Anxiety was a felt of fear that was not clear and not supported by the situation. This study aims to determine the relationship betwen level of knowledge about physiological and psychological changes in premenopausal phase and level of anxiety in pre-old woman. This research was quantitative design with cross-sectional. Total sample in this study are 90 premenopausal women who experience pre-old women at Working Area of Health Public Center in Pekanbaru, used purposive sampling technique. Data was analyzed with univariate and bivariate frequency distributions with chi-square test. The results showed an relationship between the level of knowledge about the physiological and psychological changes in premenopausal phase and the level of anxiety in pre-old women with p value = 0.000 (p <0.1). This study recommended that additional studies by increasing the number of samples so that the whole population can be represented.
