This writing aims at investigating Muhammadiyah University EFL learners’ grammar errors in writing descriptive paragraphs and the causes of the errors. This employed a qualitative research in descriptive design by using error analysis. investigating four aspects of grammar errors including addition, omission, misformation and misordering which is called surface strategy taxonomy, they thenwere analyzed by employing grammar units of analysis. These units were applied to identify errors of sentence elements. From the investigation, it is found that EFL learners’ tendency of making grammar errors in writing descriptive paragraphs was sourced from Bahasa Indonesia interference. They adopted a set of rule in Bahasa Indonesia into target language. Key Terms: Errors, Descriptive paragraphs, and Surface strategy taxonomy.

Penelitian ini ditulis dengan tujuan untuk mengetahui pengelolaan pendidikan daerah tertingal di Kecamatan Buko Selatan dalam meningkatkan pendidikan yang ada di Kabupaten Banggai Kepulauan . Metodologi dalam penulisan ini menggunakan penelitian kualitatif. dengan Jenis Penelitian Studikasus teknik pengumpulan data dalam penulisan ini adalah observasi, wawancara, dokumentasi, . Hasil yang diperoleh menunjukkan bahwa pengelolaan pendidikan daerah tertinggal sudah berjalan dengan baik pemahaman pendidikan berhubungan erat dengan kegiatan-kegiatan yang dilakukan oleh pelaksana pendidikan. Proses pembelajaran akan mampu meningkatkan kecerdasan dan kreativitas siswa dan akan berhasil meningkatkan kualitas pendidikan daerah tertinggal, apabila terdapat sinergi antara pelaku kegiatan pendidikan dengan pemerintah daerah. Dalam artian para anggota diberikan kesempatan untuk berpendapat, berfikir dan mengambil kesimpulan secara alternatif atas dasar kajian dan pengetahuan yang mereka miliki. Sejauh ini, peningkatan pendidikan di daerah tertinggal yang dilakukan dan diprakarsai oleh pemerintah belum cukup memuaskan. Akibatnya, pemahaman pendidikan di daerah tertinggal belum berkembang secara optimal. Pemerintah serta pihak sekolah sebagai tulang punggung diharapkan untuk selalu berupaya meningkatkan perannya, sehingga mampu mengoptimalkan peningkatan pendidikan bagi anggota dan masyarakat secara umum di masa-masa mendatang.Kata kunci: Pengelolaan Pendidikan Daerah Tertinggal

This aim of study was to determine the effect of noni fruit extract on Staphylococcus aureus growth. Indicator is the Bacteria growth of diameter inhibitory zone formed. The study was conducted at the Laboratory of Microbiology, Departement of Biology, State University of Gorontalo. The research method was experimental which consisted of 12 treatments (15%, 10%, 15%, 20%, 25%, 30%, 35%, 40%, 45%, 50%) and 2 replicates, and quantitatively analyzed using non-parametric Kruskal Wallis Test. Based on the statistical results indicate that there is influence of noni fruit extract on the growth of Staphylococcus aureus at 15%, 10%, 15%, 20%, 25%, 30%, 35%, 40%, 45%, and 50% concentrations, with a diameter of inhibition zone formed by each is 7,87mm, 7,75mm, 8,81mm, 9,62mm, 9mm, 10,44mm, 10,88mm, 12mm, 8,37mm and 12,13mm. This result is evidenced by the Kruskal Wallis 000 ≤ 0,05.Keyword: Growth, Staphylococcus aureus,Extraction, Noni, Inhibitory zones

PENGARUH KELENTUKAN, KEKUATAN OTOT TUNGKAI DAN KOORDINASI MATA-KAKI TERHADAP KETERAMPILAN SEPAKSILA PADA ATLET SEPAKTAKRAW SULAWESI SELATAN SUHARTIWI SUHARTIWI

Salah satu faktor terpenting dalam pencapaian prestasi maksimal pada atlet sepaktakraw adalah dengan memiliki kondisi fisik yang dapat menunjang keterampilan khususnya keterampilan sepaksila dalam permainan sepaktakraw. Kelentukan yang baik dapat memudahkan atlet dalam meluweskan lipatan salah satu kaki ke atas saat melakukan keterampilan sepaksila, dibutuhkan kekuatan otot tungkai pada saat salah satu kaki yang menjadi tumpuan berat badan dan koordinasi mata kaki sangat dibutuhkan sebelum sesaat melakukan sepakan dalam permainan sepaksila.Jenis penelitian ini ialah penelitian deskriptif dengan menggunakan teknik analisis jalur (Path Analysis). Populasinya adalah atlet sepaktakraw Sulawesi Selatan yang termasuk dalam pembinaan Sulsel Maju II dan PPLP ( Pusat Pendidikan Latihan Pelajar) yang totalnya berjumlah 24 orang. Teknik penentuan sampelnya adalah sampel jenuh. Teknik anaslisa data yang digunakan adalah analisis statistik deskriptif dan analisis jalur dengan bantuan program computer SPSS 16.Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa (1) Atlet sepaktakraw Sulawesi Selatan memiliki kelentukan berpengaruh secara langsung terhadap koordinasi mata kaki sebesar 42,90%.(2) Kekuatan otot tungkai berpengaruh langsung terhadap koordinasi mata kaki sebesar 9,61%. (3) Kelentukan berpengaruh secara langsung dan tidak langsung terhadap keterampilan sepaksila pada permainan sepaktakraw sebesar 20,64%. (4) Kekuatan otot tungkai berpengaruh secara langsung dan tidak langsung terhadap keterampilan sepaksila pada permainan sepaktakraw sebesar 12,27%. (5) Koordinasi mata kaki berpengaruh secara langsung terhadap keterampilan sepaksila pada permainan sepaktakraw sebesar 15,44%.Kata Kunci : Kelentukan, Kekuatan otot tungkai, koordinasi mata kaki, keterampilan sepaksila.

The Analysis of physical chemical from dara shells (Anadara granosa) origin from Kayutanyo, kab. Banggai, has been conducted.Dara shell meat is sleaned and dried and after that powered with blender. Determine % rendement, water bonding capacity and index water solubility with Anderson method, coarse fat content with gravimetric method and carbohydrate method with “bye difference” decrease method.The result of analysis showed rendement value is 24,35%, water bonding capacity is 1,6248 gram/ml, index water solubility is 0,202 gram/ml, water content is 79,0045%, total dust content is 1,072%, coarse protein content is 2,25%, coarse fat content is 8,47%, carbohydrate content is 9,2035%. Institusi pendidikan harus dilaksanakan dan dikembangkan dengan sebaiknya agar tercapai tujuan organisasi (Sekolah ) yaitu, mutu pendidikan yang berkualitas. kepala Sekolah harus menerapkan kepemimpinan dengan penguasaan setiap kompetensi kepala sekolah yang telah ditetapkan, yaitu kompetensi profesional, kompetensi wawasan kependidikan untuk manajemen, kompetensi kepribadian dan kompetensi sosial. Dengan penguasaan semua kompetensi di atas, diharapkan kepemimpinan efektif akan tercipta dan pendidikan berkualitas.Adapun tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui Starategi Kepala Sekolah dalam Menarapkan kedisiplinan siswa d SMP Negeri 5 Luwuk Kabupaten Banggai Metodologi dalam penulisan penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif, pengumpulan data menggunakan teknik pengumpulan data observasi,wawancara, dokumentasi dan rekaman data. Hasil penelitian disiplin siswa membuktikan bahwa kinerja yang kepala sekolah kerjakan dan merupakan program yang telah di rencanakan terhadap pembentukan etika, sikap dan norma- norma siwa itu sendiri dan memiliki dukungan yang sangat besar dari berbagai pihak,sehingganyan hasil penelitian membuktikan peran serta kepala sekolah ini didukung oleh seluruh stekholder yang ada di sekolah tersebut.Kata kunci : Strategi Kepala Sekolah Dalam Menarapkan disiplinan siswa.

Intestinal worm disease is still a public health problem in Indonesia. This disease can be found in children under five until fourthen years old. The aim of the present study was to prevalence of intestinal worm infection in children. The fresh faecal samples were collected from 56 childrens and observed by a Kato-Katz technique. The faecal of childrens were collected in SDN 2 Saloya village, Central Sulawesi. The result of identification on intestinal worm showed that 23 samples (41.07%) were found positive infections and 33 samples (58.93%) were found negetive infections. The prevelence of intestinal worm in class two were highest than all of them class. The prevalence of intestinal worm in females were highest than male. The totality sample identification of faecal childrens to Kato-Katz technique were found two genera i.e Trichuris, Ascaris, and other worm.Keywords: Intestinal worm prevalence, childrens

Fulltime students have more free time than working students. They can spare a lot of time on doing tasks from their lecturers and spend the rest to play or to do any other activity they like. While working students must share their time wisely to make a balance of studying and working. The hardship of balancing these two states in some ways, affects students’ achievement in class. To get better achievement, there are many influencing factors. One of them is motivation. Coming across this situation, it becomes an interesting matter to find out correlation of students’ employment status and achievement, students’ motivation and achievement, and correlation of students’ employment status and motivation simultaneously on achievement. CORRELATION BETWEEN THE USE OF GAMES AND STUDENTS’ MOTIVATION IN LEARNING ENGLISH MUKMIN MUKMIN; YUSNIATI N SABATA

This research aims at analyzing correlation between the use of games and students’ motivation. Quantitative method with correlation research design was used in this research. Its population consists of 65 students taken as research sample. Total sampling technique was applied in this research. Two independent variables correlated were the use of games as variable X and students’ motivation as variable Y. Questionnaires used to collect data consisted of 40 items, in which 20 items related to the use of games and another 20 items concerning with students’ motivation. The data were analyzed by applying computer program of SPSS (statistical package for social science) 18. Findings of the research indicate that the coefficient correlation (rxy) is 0.571, with the degree of freedom df = N-2 and the level of significance 0.05 or 5%. Value of r-table 0.244 indicates that the value of rxyis higher than rt (0.571 > 0.244). Thereby, alternative hypothesis (Ha) is accepted and null hypothesis (Ho) is rejected, so there is a significant correlation between the implementation of games and motivation of students at second semester of grade VIII. It means that the more often teachers use games the higher students motivation in learning English. Keywords: Correlation, games, and Motivation
