Abstract

This study aims to identify and analyze the effect of Family-Friendly Policies on Job Stress with Work-Family Conflict as a Mediating Variable (Study at Bank Jambi Central Office). This type of research is quantitative research. The method used is the Structural Equation Model (SEM) method with the help of SmartPLS 4. The population of this study is all female permanent employees at Bank Jambi Central Office as many as 52 peoples. The sampling technique used is Non Probability Sampling with saturated sampling (census) so that the entire population is used as a sample of 52 peoples. The results of the study show that: 1. Family-friendly policies have a significant positive effect on work stress on female permanent employees at Bank Jambi Central Office. 2. Work-family conflict cannot mediate the role of family-friendly policies on stress on female permanent employees at Bank Jambi Central Office. Thus supervisors can fulfill family-leave polices in the form of granting permits or urgent leave (1-2 days) to fulfill their responsibilities as a mother to care for their child who is sick or also the company can provide facilities in the form of assistance with medical expenses. In addition, the Bank Jambi Central Office can facilitate employees in the form of providing Child Daycare (TPA) around the office to make it easier for employees to supervise children at a closer distance while completing office work.So that these female employees can balance life as family members, namely as a mother who gives attention and affection to her child and as an office employee who must complete her job responsibilities.

Utilizing data from 24 companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange from 2018-2022, the research employs multiple linear regression analysis to investigate these factors' impact on profitability, as indicated by Return On Assets (ROA). Results reveal that firm size, liquidity, efficiency, leverage, and market power collectively influence profitability, with market power emerging as the most significant determinant. While firm size and efficiency are positively associated with profitability, leverage negatively impacts it, and liquidity does not significantly affect it. The study's findings highlight the importance of strategic market positioning, operational efficiency, and prudent financial management in enhancing profitability.

Abstract

This study investigates the effects of exclusive talent management philosophies on employee engagement within Company ABC, a multinational private healthcare corporation. The research focuses on how talent management strategies influence employees' levels of engagement. Company ABC, facing significant business challenges due to its dominant exclusive talent management strategy, emphasizes external recruitment and the development of a small group of high-potential employees. This approach has led to a decline in morale, employee engagement, and perceptions of fairness, as employees feel undervalued and overlooked. Primary data were collected through surveys administered to 104 Company ABC employees, ranging from entry-level to junior managers. The study employs quantitative analysis to assess the relationship between the company's talent management philosophy and employee engagement levels. Pearson Correlation technique was used to analyze the data. Findings reveal a negative correlation between exclusive talent management and employee engagement, indicating that a focus on a small group of employees can lead to feelings of exclusion and decreased motivation across the workforce. The thesis concludes with recommendations for Company ABC to transition to a more inclusive talent management approach. It advocates policies ensuring fair and equal treatment, development opportunities for all employees, and a culture that values diversity and inclusion. These changes are expected to enhance overall engagement, satisfaction, and organizational performance, aligning talent management with long-term business success.
