Abstract

ASEAN Community has been officially implemented since early 2016. Although there is a longtime between the idea of ASEAN Community agreed and accepted in 2003 and its implementationin 2015, the understanding of society about ASEAN Community still low. Even though, ASEANCommunity is ready to integrate Southeast Asian society through political-security, economic, andsocio-cultural dimensions. Therefore, it takes a lot of efforts to develop awareness and ASEAN wefeeling, one of them through community service program. This paper describes activities ofcommunity service program to develop ASEAN we feeling in Senior High School DiponegoroTumpang in Malang Regency, East Java. These activities include socialization of ASEANCommunity and ASEAN socio-cultural, decor classes competition with ASEAN-themed, ASEANCorner initiation, and development of ASEAN-oriented schools. These activities are to increasestudents knowledge about ASEAN and ASEAN Community and developed ASEAN we feeling asan ASEAN society.

Abstract

Veteran farmer groups and is a Veteran Youth vegetable farmer groups residing in the VillagePattapang, District High Muzzle, Gowa, South Sulawesi. Vegetables grown are cabbage, carrots,potatoes, onion leaves, cabbage, tomatoes, and squash. Land is located on land owned by farmerswith a fairly steep slope so prone to erosion. Cultivation of vegetables is done conventionally byutilizing manure and inorganic fertilizer. Soil cultivation is done in the direction of the slope. Wasbased on the observance of watering, weed control, disease and pest control, but there has not beenoptimal production. Some of the problems encountered in the cultivation of vegetables is themagnitude and does not utilize organic materials in situ, where the organic material produced isburned. Implementation activities undertaken by the team Ipteks form of counseling, training,demonstration plots, and outreach. Materials science and technology as the solution of theseproblems is the processing of organic materials into bokhasi, conservation tillage, and cultivationof vegetables, especially potatoes technology. This activity received a positive response frommembers of farmer groups, due to significantly improve productivity and lower production costs.This becomes a strong motivation for participants to apply the knowledge and technology insustainability efforts.

Abstract

Management of cassava in the village Baroanging, District Bangkala Jeneponto district by farmers are not optimal and do not fully apply the recommended technology innovation so that although productivity is not too low, but still need improvement management, especially the system of cultivation. Cassava plant in the village only be used as plant-stream, but it can help the economy of the community. Because in addition to getting the results of rice crops also get additional income from planting cassava. However, income from farming of cassava is still very low because they only sell in the form of logs, they have yet to diversify the preparations of such products. Though cassava processing easy to do and relatively higher than the price of cassava spindles. One of the diversification of cassava processing is the manufacture of flour Making Flour mokaf mokaf this could be a new business opportunity for cassava farmers. So as to increase the income of cassava farmers. Objectives and targets outcomes to be achieved from the science and technology activities for the public are: 1) the target output short term that will be produced are: (a) Partner skilled in cassava cultivation organic technology use proper cultivation, (b) Partner know the benefits cassava is widely especially benefits flour mokaf, (c) Options were able to produce flour mocaf itself, 2) Target outcomes long term that will be produced are: (a) changing the mindset of farmers, from just farming cassava into the mindset of making these plants be a promising business opportunities, (b) the District Bangkala will be mokaf flour production center, (c) Formed new entrepreneurs that produce flour mokaf. Approach methods are offered to support the realization of the program consists of three methods, namely; (1). Participatory extension, (2) Training (demonstrations and practice activities by participants), (3) Mentoring, coaching the participants by the implementation team, and (4) Mentoring.

Abstract

The revitalization of Posyandu is aimed to improve the function and performance of Posyandu,with the main activities of training, service and community movement. Facilities andinfrastructure in Posyandu Melati I are not adequate, active cadres are 4 people, communityparticipation in utilizing posyandu about 45%, about 2% of children with less nutrition. Theactivities carried out in the form of procurement of facilities and infrastructure improvements,facilitate training of posyandu cadres, supplementary feeding and nutritious food and wormcounseling for mother with toddlers. Procurement of facilities and infrastructure in the form of 9types of equipment required Posyandu Melati I. Coordination to Puskesmas Parangloe producestraining activities posyandu cadres planed in October 2017. Supplementary feeding og green beanporridge, on approximately 30 children under five. Nutrition food and worm counseling attendedas many as 15 mothers who have a toddler. Pre-Post test evaluation were conducted before andafter the extension materials were given, indicating an increase in extension counseling knoeledgefrom 43% to 89%. Posyandu Cadres are also advised to actively invite community to be willing tovolunteer posyandu cadres, providing additional foods of varying kind so that toddler do not getbored ang eager to come to posyandu every month. Provision of nutritional material should beaccompanied by a food model and posyandu should have a storage cabinet of goods.

Abstract

Bontolebang Village North Galesong District Takalar Regency is one of the areasthat became the center of vegetable plant development. The problem facing thevegetable farmer groups is the management of unfriendly farming system.Farmers in managing their farms rely on the use of chemical fertilizers to improvesoil fertility, without considering the long-term effects of using chemicals.Besides that, farmers are not skilled to make organic fertilizer from waste crops(rice straw) previously that many are found around the farms. This activity aims toincrease knowledge and skills for the farmers in Bontolebang Village, especiallySabar Farmer Group in the management of soil fertility for cultivation whichincludes counseling of environmentally friendly farming system, making oforganic fertilizer from existing crop waste (rice straw) and organic fertilizerapplication right method, so the growth and production of vegetables can bemaximized. The methods used in the implementation of the CommunityPartnership Program are counseling, training, production assistance, anddemonstration plots. The result of this program is the increasing of farmerunderstanding about farming system which is friendly in environment, theincreasing of farmers skill in making organic fertilizer from rice straw, andincreasing of farmer consciousness in the use of organic fertilizer in farming field.

Abstract

Pattallassang districts inhabited by dozens of burasa seller which is part of Gowa regency in South Sulawesi Province, Indonesia and life in economically weak. Uniquely, burasa’ seller is selling its products in the Makassar city, but it should be a distance of tens kilometers. These activities are conducted daily, after selling burasa during the day, they started to prepare the raw materials to be processed for the night. Can be described that the job lasted for 12 hours, but provide not sufficient income for them. But their efforts were likely not accompanied by a large income. Every day they only earn IDR 100.000 for all the burasa’ they sells, which reached 100 belt burasa. Their income is not net income, but they still have to set aside capital to buy raw materials for the next day. This reality that inspires the executor team to carry out community service to the burasa’ business group who lives in the Jenemadinging village. The program aims to increase the capacity of partners to be highly competitive with traditional culinary products and encourage other partners to implement effective management and efficient business. The method used for the transfer of science and technology to partners with participatory training methods by involving as many partners as possible in the activities of lectures, discussion and practice. After the series of training, partners have been able to produce burasa with higher quality in terms of the durability of products, flavors, packaging and hygiene.

Abstract

The actualization of the commitment of the Muslim University of Indonesia (UMI) that caresabout the environment is manifested by the efforts of community development in the village ofPampang located adjacent to the campus of UMI, conducted through the application of technology.The objectives of the technology implementation activities are (1) to provide training to womenreligious groups (Majelis Taklim) in Pampang on environmental hygiene, sorting and processingwaste for composting for vegetable cultivation; (2) provide vegetable training and skills byVerticulture system to womens religious groups (Majelis Taklim) in Pampang so that communitygroups become more economically independent. The two types of activities are the main activitiesgiven to womens religious groups (Majelis Taklim) to utilize their free time. Both types ofactivities received positive responses from the trainees and the accompaniment reflected in theirattendance and antuasiame responses in each meeting. Organic waste processing activities need tobe increased into business scale which will also increase the family income and also support theMakassar city government program.

Abstract

Squid attractor in the watershas a role as an artificial reef, as a squid collector, and as a squidhabitat to lay their eggs. It is therefore, the settlement of the squid attractor in a waters region willcreate a unique underwater view, which are a layer of squid eggs bed. Additonally, the squidattractor can also to be a nursery habitat and at the endit can be developed to be a potencial fishingground.The problems are facing by partner groups (group Nelayan Mandiri and group NelayanSejahtera Bersama) are: 1) problems in production and 2) problems in business management. Forproducion problems they result in low production and influence the selling price linearly.Whereas, the poor business management will hamperthe production system and will reduce theprofit of fishermen group.The purpose of the program of the IbM kelompok nelayan cumi-cumi diKota Makassaris to provide counseling and demo to the partner groups in order to improve theirproductionand to increase their welfare. The approach methods applied in solving the agreedpriority problems of the partners duringthe realization of the program IbM program is to implemendemonstration system as well as counseling method. There are two selected partner groups,namelyNelayan MandiriGroup and Nelayan Sejahtera BersamaGroup.The group selection wasbased on purposive sampling by the facts that both groups have potential good product and market.From the 5 trips trial on the squid attractor, it was found the total catch of squid was in the range of10,8 – 11,2 kg on average.

Abstract

Techniques cultivation by farmers of papaya crop in the district Lamuru, highly variable, is not optimal and not yet fully apply the recommended technology innovation so that although productivity is not too low, but still need improvement management, especially the system of nutrient / fertilizer to plants. Along the loss of subsidized chemical fertilizer, chemical fertilizer scarcity and high prices in the market become an obstacle in fulfilling the needs of farmers papaya plant nutrients. Therefore, it is necessary to find alternative that function to chemical fertilizers and pesticides is more safe friendly for environmental. TechnologyPosidan-Ht (liquid organic fertilizers, natural pesticides, and growth hormone) is an alternative to chemical fertilizers and pesticides that are safe friendly for environmentally. Objectives and targets outcomes to be achieved from the activities science and technology for the public are: 1) the target output short term that will be produced are: (a) The famers skiled is cultivation of papaya with theuse proper cultivation technology application independently in the crop, (b) famers knows the importance of using posidan -ht, (c) The Famers partners were able to produce their own posidan-ht, (d) ) applying a solution of skilled posidan-ht independently in planting papaya, and 2) Target long-term outcomes that will be produced are: (a) the loss of partners dependence on fertilizer and chemical pesticides in the management of the papaya plant, (b) Provided papaya plants healthy without relying chemical fertilizers and pesticides,(c) Subdistrict Lamuru will Sentra be healthy Organic Papaya that have high bargaining value d) Formed new entrepreneurs who produce posidan- ht. Approach methods are offered to support the realization of the program consists of three methods, namely: 1).
