Abstract

Anthurium flower is an ornamental plant that is widely known and favored by plant lovers. Apart from being a beautiful plant, anthurium is a type of ornamental plant that is easy to care for and cultivate. The purpose of this research is to get anthurium crosses with better variations and to understand proper care and cultivation methods. This research was conducted in the Sewu Kembang Tourism Village, Nglurah Tawangmangu. Data collection in this study was carried out using observation and interview methods. The research data was then analyzed by descriptive qualitative. From the results of the research that has been done, data is obtained showing that anthurium plant propagation can be done in two ways, namely generative and vegetative. In cultivating anthurium, factors that need to be considered include tools and materials, nurseries, and planting methods. Then in the care of anthurium things that must be considered are watering, fertilizing, weeding, placement, repotting, and pest and disease control.

Abstract

The use of plants in traditional medicine has been used out by people in the Kepulauan Riau. However, knowledge about the use of plants in traditional medicine by the Malay people in Tanjung Village, Northeast Bunguran District, Natuna Regency, has never been documented. The aim of this study is to identify the species of plants and plant parts that are used, to learn how to prepare and use medicinal plants, and to evaluate the importance of citation frequency and informant agreement elements in Tanjung village’s traditional medicine. The research was carried out by conducting semi-structured interviews, and continued with a discussion of 13 respondents who were determined by snowball sampling. The data collected includes: the plant species and families, the component used, the processing method, the usage method, and useg. Also, the informant agreement factor and the frequency of citations/mentions of each medicinal plant (%) were determined. The results showed that the people in Tanjung Village used 72 species of plants in traditional medicine. Fabaceae and Zingiberaceae are the dominant plant families reported by respondents as medicinal plants. Generally, the people in Tanjung Village use more of the leaves (46.67%) for use as medicine, the processing method is by boiling (33.3%) and the method of use is by drinking it (58.2%).

Abstract

In Serang regency for 2 last years occured increasing of mother dead. This case more take place at antenatal period than having birth and porturition period. Mother dead can be prevented if high risk pregnant mother detected early, on of the method by doing pregnancy checkup appropriate with 7T standart to the pregnant mother. This research has purpose to identify and analize factors that affect midwife practice in antenatal care of high risk pregnancy early detection at Serang Regency. This research is analitik description research with cross sectional approach. The research subjects were midwife that practice BPM by use sample 73 midwifes. Result of the research showed that 52.1% respondent didn’t do antenatal care on the high risk pregnancy early detection. Factors  that related to midwife practice in antenatal care were age, education, long time of work and knowledge where result of statistic experiment was gotten p value < 0,05. Suggestion for IBI is increase monitoring and educating to its members, Health Department should be more distinct give a reward and punishment to BPM practice so that rescuing mother and baby more success, and for BPM should increase knowledges.

Abstract

Increasing tomato production requires special handling to increase longer shelf life by applying chitosan and modifying storage temperatures. Chitosan is a chitin derivative whose function is similar to wax compounds so that it is able to inhibit metabolic activity. Storage temperature of 10°C can extend shelf life and maintain the physical quality of tomatoes. This study aims to determine the effect of chitosan administration, the effect of storage temperature, and the effect of the combination of chitosan and storage temperature on the physical quality of tomatoes. This study used a Factorial Complete Randomized Design, the first factor was tomatoes without chitosan coating (K0), and tomatoes with chitosan coating (K1) = shrimp shell, (K2) = crab shell, (K3) = fish scales using the same concentration of 6%. The second factor is storage temperature (T1) = room temperature (26-32°C) and (T2) = temperature 10°C.  The changes observed are shrinkage in weight, color, texture, aroma, taste based on organoleptic test (hedonic test). Data analysis using ANOVA at 5% level and BNJ follow-up test at 5% level. The results showed that the use of crab chitosan (K2) had an effect on weight loss (0.42%). Storage temperature of 10°C (T2) affects weight loss (5.04%). The best treatment combination for weight loss (0.07%) and color (7.40) was crab chitosan and temperature of 10°C (K2T2), while the best treatment combination for texture (7.56), aroma (7.08), and taste (7.16) was fish scales and temperature of 10°C (K3T2). In general, the best treatment is chitosan fish scales and a temperature of 10°C (K3T2).
