Abstract

A day without shadows is a day when the sun is right above (zenith), objects that are perpendicular to the sun and the entire plane of matter will be parallel to the direction of sunlight, so the object will not form a shadow around the object. This phenomenon occurs along with the artificial journey of the sun every year from south to north and vice versa from north to south. The sun will transit right above (zenith) cities in Indonesia. For the city of Medan, the phenomenon of days without bans is estimated to occur twice a year, namely every March 29 and October 2. This phenomenon occurs at midday, when the declination of the sun reaches 03 ° 34 ', equal to the value of the latitude of the city of Medan (03 ° 34' LU).

Abstract

The Global Islamic Calendar doesn't yet exist because it cannot be applied in some Muslim countries in the world. The criteria for Global Islamic Calendar still debated because it’s difficult to apply throughout the world. The development of information technology encouraged astronomers to digitize the site-based global Islamic calendar. Some websites that we have researched have not yet used the integrated calendar criteria set in Turkey Congress 2016. Therefore it is necessary to maping a website that presents a global Islamic calendar so that it can be used as a reference recommendation for Muslim community.

Abstract

The beginning of prayer time is important for Muslims because Islam advocates for prayer at the beginning of time. The beginning of Zuhr, Asar and Maghrib prayer times can be done by looking position of the Sun directly. However, the position of the sun cannot be directly observed to determine the beginning of the Fajr and Isha prayer times, because the Sun is below the horizon. The beginning of the Fajr prayer time can be determined by measuring sky brightness using the Sky Quality Meter (SQM). Many factors can affect SQM in collecting light so that the data is not separated from noise. The use of the moving average method reduces noise, making it easier to determine the beginning of the Fajr prayer time using SQM.

Abstract

Astronomy is a study of the sky. In the development of astronomy and the development of times in the field of science, many astronomical instruments were found, which were useful in research in the field of astronomy. One of the most popular and cannot be taken from astronomy is the telescope. The beginning of the discovery of the telescope originated from its discovery, and at that time a discovery was made that could be used in observing distant objects known with optical telescopes. The more advanced the development of technology, the telescope was found with a new model that uses elekromagnektik waves obtained from radio waves, this telescope is known as a radio telescope. Abstract

This paper tries to explain the ideal standard in conducting calibration in Qibla direction by referring to social problems in the digital era. In the digital era, a reference in carrying out the Qibla direction calibration tasks must be truly socially and scientifically accountable, both in using guidelines or standard operating procedure (SOP), as well as calibration minutes made as a placeholder's grip on Qibla direction calibration. . New problems can occur after the calibration of the Qibla direction is carried out, such as the rejection of the results of the calibration of the Qibla direction by a number of mosque worshipers which can lead to religious splits, most of these rejections come from the social and scientific dimensions that have not been fully fulfilled when the calibration was carried out. To avoid or minimize the occurrence of Muslim comflications after calibrating the direction of the mosque's Qibla, these two elements must be truly considered, namely the element of social and scientific elements

Abstract

The movement of the sun, the earth, and the moon on their each orbites have caused a natural fenomenon called an eclipse. Rasulullah SAW taught his followers to take a pray when this situation comes. Many 'ulamas have a different opinions in one or two case  order to do the eclipse prayer, for example when the eclipse couldn't be seen because it hindered by clouds or if it's cloudy. One of the ulama's opinion which will be reviewed is the opinion of Ibnu Hajar al-Haitami. The aim of this research is to find out the fiqh of eclipse prayer in the study of Islamic Law, later Haitami's opinion concerning the implementation of eclipse prayer when it's cloudy. Qualitative approach used in this research with concept analysis, where researcher acumulate literatures that relates with the topic. The result of this reseach known that there are no significant differences in fiqh of eclipse prayer in the study of Islamic Law, but if it's cloudy when the eclipse happening, Haitami's argue that eclipse prayer keeps held when the eclipse happens before the cloudy. Meanwhile, if the cloudy happens from the begining to the last seconds of eclipse, the eclipse prayer not applied.
