Abstract

Sunnah and hadith are two fundamental concepts in Islam that serve as guidelines for the lives of Muslims. This study aims to analyze the development of the meaning of sunnah and hadith from the perspective of classical to contemporary scholars, as well as to explore the transformation of sunnah from the practices of the Prophet Muhammad SAW into canonized hadith texts. The method used is a historical literature review, referring to classical books, as well as the thoughts of scholars such as Imam Shafi'i and Fazlur Rahman, and modern literature. The results of the study show that the Sunnah was initially understood as the practical traditions of the Prophet, while hadiths were verbal narratives about his words, deeds, and decisions. Differences in interpretation arose among scholars, such as muhaddithun who viewed the Sunnah comprehensively, ushuliyyun who emphasized legal aspects, and fuqaha who classified it into categories of fiqh. Fazlur Rahman put forward a theory of the evolution of the Sunnah into hadith through three phases: informal, semi-formal, and formal, in which the dynamic Sunnah changed into a more rigid text. This research makes a significant contribution to understanding the development of the concept of Sunnah and its implications for contemporary Islamic thought.

Abstract

The interpretation of the Qur'an has started since the time of the Prophet Muhammad SAW and continues to this day. Every interpretation product produced from the time of the Prophet SAW to the present day must have different approaches and conclusions. This is due to the fact that the need for interpretation at any time is always changing. This article aims to reveal the historical aspects of the emergence, basis, urgrnsi, steps and characteristics of the ijmali interpretation method. This research is a library research using qualitative method. The results of this study indicate that the ijmali interpretation method is one of the approaches in the interpretation of the Qur'an that developed since the early period of Islam, along with the needs of the people to understand the messages of the Qur'an simply and thoroughly. Historically, this method was used by the companions and previous scholars in explaining the meaning of the verses of the Qur'an without going into too much detail word by word, making it easier to be accepted by the laity. The importance of this method lies in its ability to convey the Qur'anic message in a concise yet thorough manner, making it an effective means of building a basic understanding of the Qur'an for readers from various backgrounds. Conveying the global meaning of the verse, maintaining the continuity of the narrative without focusing on in-depth linguistic analysis or grammatical aspects, is the hallmark of the ijmali method. As such, it is well suited for conveying the core teachings of Islam and the moral message of the Qur'an, especially in the context of education and dissemination of Islamic teachings to the wider community.

Abstract

This research discusses the concept of anger emotional control, a phenomenon that often occurs in the scope of society related to fellow humans, as a person easily vents his anger against anyone without accurate prevention and handling both verbally and nonverbally and how these topics will be discussed. Regarding the emotion of anger, it can usually be understood as bad behavior such as saying rudely, hitting, and showing scary expressions, with the guidance of lust al-anger can result in evil, for someone who cannot control his anger will fall into a loss. The definition of this assumption has been developed and found in dictionaries as well as current indexes. As a source of guidance for Muslims, the Qur'an provides many explanations about the emotion of anger in the focus of the term Ghadab and Ghilzah, so that this verse is easy for everyone to understand, of course it needs to be interpreted clearly and concisely. Therefore, the author here would like to try to offer a clear and concise explanation of the problem of conceptual control of anger emotions from the perspective of Prof. Dr. H. Abdul Malik Karim Amrullah in the tafsir of Al-Azhar, regarding the analysis of anger emotions in the Tafsir Al-Azhar and the stages of controlling the emotions of anger in the Quran according to the Tafsir Al-Azhar. This research is library research, for which the author takes steps to identify, collect, process and study existing data related to anger emotions, both in the form of primary and secondary data accurately and factually. Meanwhile, the secondary data in question are other literature in the form of research books and other articles which of course are related to the problem of controlling anger emotions in the Qur'an and Tafsir Al-Azhar. This study found several conclusions that the Qur'an describes anger in various terms, but the researcher's focus is on the terms ghadab and ghilzah. A more actual understanding of anger recognizes that this trait does have a place in certain situations, but it doesn't always have to be expressed physically. Often, it takes an internal effort to overcome it. The concept of anger is not only limited to its literal meaning, but it is also understood as a condition that has the potential to bring harm, which can cause a person to deviate from the truth. And according to the tafsir of Al-Azhar by Buya Hamka, the stages of controlling the emotion of anger are by dhikr to Allah, being patient, forgiving others, and doing ihsan, that is, always doing good to others.

Abstract

Muqaran interpretation emerged as a method of interpreting the Qur'an that focuses on comparing various scholars' views on specific verses. Its emergence was driven by the need to understand and respond to differences in interpretation across both classical and modern traditions. The foundation and urgency of this method lie in its ability to broaden interpretive perspectives, foster tolerance towards differing opinions, and avoid sectarianism. This method emphasizes objectivity in understanding Qur'anic texts by considering diverse perspectives from past and contemporary scholars. The steps of the Muqaran method involve identifying relevant verses or themes, collecting various scholarly opinions, conducting a comparative analysis, and synthesizing deeper meanings. Muqaran exegesis compares similar or related Qur'anic verses, seemingly contradictory hadiths, and classical and contemporary scholarly views. Its strengths include broadening perspectives and promoting tolerance, while its weaknesses lie in overemphasis on comparison and less direct social solutions. In the contemporary era, the Muqaran method remains valid through approaches of coherence, correspondence, and pragmatism, providing answers to modern challenges and contributing contextually to social, cultural, and political problem-solving.

Abstract

This study aims to develop effective strategies to increase students' awareness of negative content on the TikTok platform, focusing on students at SMPN 2 Sakra Timur. In today's digital era, the use of social media, particularly TikTok, has become an integral part of students' daily lives. However, inappropriate and potentially harmful content can affect students' character development and behavior. Through a qualitative approach, this study identified various types of negative content frequently accessed by students and their impact on their behavior. Furthermore, this study explored the role of teachers and parents in providing appropriate media education. The results of this study indicate that increased awareness can be achieved through educational programs involving interactive discussions, digital literacy training, and collaboration between schools and parents. By implementing these strategies, it is hoped that students will be more critical in filtering the content they consume, thereby minimizing the negative impacts of TikTok and other social media use. This research is expected to serve as a reference for other schools in addressing similar challenges in the digital era.

Abstract

Marriage will enable a person to achieve psychological and biological balance in life. One factor to consider in choosing a life partner is age. Age is crucial because it relates to psychological maturity. The impact of child marriage can cause children to experience profound trauma due to inhibiting factors such as reproductive health problems, impaired health, and domestic violence because the child is not yet ready for marriage. This type of research is qualitative and library research, so the data obtained comes from the study of relevant texts or books. This study uses a feminist interpretation approach that has the basic principles of the Qur'an regarding gender relations between men and women, in the assumption of feminist interpretation: justice (al-adalah), equality (al-musawah), appropriateness (al-ma'ruf), and deliberation (shura). Scholars of interpretation do not specify the exact age limit for marriage, but instead refer to two things: baligh (age of puberty) and rusydu (age of puberty). Baligh refers to physical maturity for men with wet dreams (ihtilam) and menstruation for women. Meanwhile, rusydu is interpreted as maturity in acting as appropriately as possible, which also means intelligence and mental stability when a child is entering the gates of adulthood.

Abstract

A prenuptial agreement is a contract signed by the bride and groom before marriage to legally establish them as husband and wife. As a contract, this agreement binds both parties and can include provisions regarding the division of property or management of personal assets, so that each party can be separated in the event of a future separation. This study uses a qualitative research method, with a descriptive-analysis technique. Data collection was carried out using a literature study approach. Based on the study conducted, the following are the results of the study. First, Buya Hamka's interpretation of QS. Al-Maidah verse 1, falls into the category of gender-biased interpretation. This can be seen from his interpretation having a tendency towards one of the parties. Second, the feminist or gender-just interpretation of QS. Al-Maidah verse 1, is more oriented towards more just values, especially across genders.
