Abstract

Disability refers to physical, mental, or intellectual limitations that can affect a person's ability to perform daily activities. Stigma against people with disabilities is still a serious social problem in various parts of the world, including in Indonesia. In fact, the Qur'an has provided comprehensive guidance on how we should treat our fellow humans, including those with physical or mental limitations. This research aims to delve deeper into the concepts of the Qur'an related to the prevention of stigma against people with disabilities and how the Qur'an cracks down on stigma perpetrators, especially through the tafsir of Imam Nawawi al-Bantani in Tafsir al-Munir.This study uses a qualitative method with a literature study approach. Primary data was obtained from Tafsir al-Munir, while secondary data was obtained from various literature related to disability, the Qur'an, and tafsir. Data analysis uses a thematic method carried out by tracing relevant verses of the Qur'an, then interpreting them based on the interpretation of Imam Nawawi al-Bantani. In the Qur'an, there are letters that discuss people with physical disabilities in Surah Abassa 1-10, Surah An-Nur 61, Surah Al-Imran 49, Surah Al Fath 17 and Surah al-Maidah verse 110. In this study, the author came to the conclusion, namely: first, as fellow human beings, it is forbidden to discriminate, second, it is forbidden to be prejudiced, third, it is necessary to maintain the dignity of others, fourth, it thinks that our fellow human beings are equal, fifth, it has empathy for others, sixth, it is fair, and seventh, it is to give appreciation to people with disabilities. In general, the results of the study show that the Qur'an expressly rejects all forms of discrimination and views all human beings as equal beings before Allah SWT.

Abstract

The issue of mutarādif (synonymy) is a subject of debate among scholars; some acknowledge its existence in language and its potential occurrence in the Qur'an, while others deny it. Nevertheless, some scholars adopt a cautious approach when interpreting mutarādif terms within the Qur'an. Furthermore, the Qur'an extensively discusses human beings and the mysteries of their lives across all related aspects—such as the creation of humanity. In this context, several verses employ terms like turāb, ṭīn, ṣalṣāl, and fakhkhār. Consequently, the author will focus on the exegetical principles regarding the synonymous terms turāb, ṭīn, ṣalṣāl, and fakhkhār (specifically according to the interpretation of M. Quraish Shihab). While M. Quraish Shihab acknowledges that turāb, ṭīn, ṣalṣāl, and fakhkhār appear to be synonyms denoting "soil" or "earth," they are not synonymous in the absolute sense; each term possesses a specific nuance not shared by the others. Thus, the linguistic principle concerning synonymy holds a position of great importance for exegetes (mufassirīn) in their understanding of the Qur'an.

Abstract

Criteria for scientific truth constitute a fundamental aspect of the advancement of knowledge, viewed from both Western and Islamic perspectives. This study examines the differences and similarities regarding these criteria across both perspectives. Generally, the Western approach relies on empirical methods, rationality, and measurable testing, whereas the Islamic perspective incorporates elements of divine revelation and spiritual values as foundations for truth. This research aims to analyze the criteria for scientific truth according to Western and Islamic views and to explore how they can complement each other in the advancement of knowledge. A literature review method was employed, analyzing scholarly works from various sources representing both Western and Islamic paradigms. The findings indicate that, from a Western perspective, scientific truth is grounded in objectivity, falsification, and verification through the scientific method. Conversely, the Islamic perspective holds that scientific truth is not based solely on logic and empirical experience but must also align with divine revelation and Sharia principles. The integration of rationality and spirituality within the Islamic perspective offers a holistic approach to knowledge.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the integration of Islamic values into the gig economy—a sector that expanded rapidly during the pandemic while facing challenges regarding social protection and worker exploitation. A qualitative method with a descriptive approach was employed to analyze the phenomena experienced by gig workers. The research proceeded in three stages: *de-Westernization* to identify secular elements within gig economy practices; *integration* to infuse the system with Islamic values such as justice and responsibility; and *Islamization* to propose concrete modifications for creating a fairer and more sustainable system. The findings indicate that applying Islamic principles can address existing challenges, such as inequitable profit distribution and inadequate worker protection. By adopting values like social solidarity and environmental responsibility, the gig economy can transform into an economic mechanism that not only benefits individuals but also prioritizes the well-being of society as a whole. This study highlights the importance of reforming policies and practices to ensure the gig economy operates in alignment with Islamic values, thereby fostering a more just and sustainable economic ecosystem.

Abstract

YouTube content has evolved into a valuable economic asset and can be used as an object of fiduciary collateral based on Government Regulation No. 24 of 2022 on the Creative Economy. This regulation recognizes intellectual property rights (IPR), including copyright over digital content, as a form of collateral that can be utilized to obtain financing from financial institutions. However, the implementation of YouTube content as fiduciary collateral still faces various challenges, particularly in legal, economic, and Maqashid Syariah compliance aspects. This study analyzes the ratio legis and ontological foundation of this policy and its implications from the perspective of Maqashid Syariah. Under Indonesia’s positive law, YouTube content as copyright is classified as an intangible asset recognized under Article 499 of the Indonesian Civil Code (KUH Perdata) and can be transferred through a fiduciary agreement. However, for it to be used as collateral, the content must have a clear economic value, be tradable, and provide legal certainty for creditors regarding collateral execution. From the Maqashid Syariah perspective, the principle of asset protection (hifzhul maal) plays a central role in determining the eligibility of an asset as collateral. YouTube content with stable economic value and clear ownership may align with this principle, as long as transactions do not involve gharar (uncertainty) and do not disadvantage any party. The research findings indicate that while YouTube content can legally serve as fiduciary collateral under Indonesia’s positive law, uncertainties remain in its implementation and enforcement. From the Maqashid Syariah perspective, ensuring legal certainty and transparency in transactions is crucial for this mechanism to align with Islamic principles of justice. Therefore, further regulatory measures are needed to ensure that digital content used as collateral meets the requirements of economic value certainty, lawful ownership, and a well-defined execution mechanism.

Abstract

QS. Al-Baqarah verse 255 (ayat kursi) is one of the greatest verses in the Qur'an because it emphasizes the oneness and power of Allah. Tafsir Muyassar, as one of the concise tafsir compiled by scholars from the King Fahd Mushaf Printing Complex, provides a simple but in-depth explanation of this verse. This journal aims to analyze Tafsir Muyassar's explanation of the Ayat Kursi and its relevance in everyday life. The research results show that Ayat Kursi contains the concept of monotheism, the absolute power of Allah, and the importance of depending on Him. Apart from that, this verse also has the priority of protection from Satan's interference. By understanding Ayat Kursi in depth through Tafsir Muyassar, a Muslim can increase his faith and devotion to Allah.
