Abstract

The learning process that is just listening, doing assignments and only focusing on books causes the classroom atmosphere to become monotonous and less actively involved in students. As a result, students become more passive, less enthusiastic, and face difficulties in understanding and internalizing the material being taught. This affects the low motivation of students to learn. This study aims to assess whether there is an impact of the Teams Games Tournament (TGT) type cooperative learning model on the learning motivation of students in grade IX in the Akidah Akhlak lesson. The method used in this study is quantitative experiment, included in the category of pseudo-experiment with a nonequivalent group design that contains pretest, posttest, and two treatments. The test results carried out in this study included descriptive analysis, normality test, homogeneity, and hypothesis testing using independent sample t-test. From the results of the study, it can be seen that in the descriptive analysis between the experimental classes there was an increase of 29,96 while the control class was worth 18,23. In the normality test, both the experimental and control classes showed a normal distribution because the data produced > 0,05, in the homogeneity test the pretest based on mean value 0,197 and the posttest value 0,234 can be concluded to be homogeneous, in the hypothesis test the sig value. 0,000 < 0,05 showed the influence of the Teams Games Tournament (TGT) type cooperative learning model on students' learning motivation in the Moral Faith lesson.

Abstract

Amidst rapidly changing times, instilling the habit of saving in children from an early age has become increasingly relevant. Saving is not merely a financial activity; it is an integral part of character education that fosters discipline and responsibility. Parents, as a child's first and primary educators, play a crucial role in guiding them to understand the value of money and sound financial management. Through simple, visual approaches such as games and stories children can more easily grasp the concept of saving. Parental involvement in this process, including offering praise and setting savings goals, can boost a child's self-confidence and sense of responsibility. This study employs a qualitative method with a case study approach to examine the role of parents in instilling the habit of saving. The findings indicate that parental consistency and support significantly influence the development of a child's disciplined and responsible character, as well as their future financial readiness.

Abstract

Fostering honesty in early childhood is a fundamental aspect of education that supports moral and spiritual development from an early age. However, the value of honesty is often overlooked in instructional practices that focus solely on cognitive aspects. This study aims to analyze the implementation of an Islamic play counseling approach in cultivating honesty among young children in Islamic early childhood education (ECE) institutions. A qualitative research approach with a case study design was employed. Data were collected through participant observation, in-depth interviews with five ECE teachers, and documentation of learning activities, involving fifteen children aged 4–6 years as participants. Data analysis was conducted thematically using NVivo software to identify patterns in the development of honesty during Islamic play activities. The results indicate that Islamic play counseling utilizing educational games, storytelling about the Prophets, and role-playing consistently instills the value of honesty in children's daily behavior. These activities build children's understanding of the meaning of honesty through an enjoyable and contextual approach. In conclusion, the Islamic play counseling approach offers practical and theoretical contributions to character education and can be adopted by ECE teachers as a relevant instructional strategy for shaping positive character from an early age.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the implementation of the integrated Islamic curriculum at the Al-Mawaddah Ponorogo Integrated Islamic Elementary School (SDIT) using a phenomenological approach. This research focuses on the life experiences and perceptions of education actors in integrating Islamic values into the national curriculum. Qualitative research methods with a phenomenological approach are used with data collection techniques through in-depth interviews, participatory observations, and documentation studies. Informants include the principal, teachers, students, and parents of students. The results of the research indicate that the implementation of the integrated Islamic curriculum at SDIT Al-Mawaddah Ponorogo is carried out through three main dimensions: (1) integration of Islamic values in each subject, (2) application of a student-centered learning approach with an emphasis on project-based learning and problem solving, and (3) development of a holistic evaluation system that includes cognitive, affective, and psychomotor aspects. The challenges faced are the lack of integrated teaching materials, and the complexity of the evaluation system. This research concludes that the success of the implementation of the integrated Islamic curriculum is highly dependent on the commitment of all school parties and the support of a conducive educational environment.
