Abstract

Abstract This study aims to compose a innovative electrolyte and non electrolyte learning module and to know its effect on student learning outcomes. The two class student of Xth class from SMA Negeri 7 Medan used as a sample, which both as experimental class teach by  PBL model using innovative modules and control class by original text books. The research data analyzing by descriptive and inferential statistics methods. By this research, we had take an innovative electrolyte and non electrolyte learning module which composed by Borg& Gall procedure and had been standardized  by Indonesian National Standard Education Bureau (BNSP).  The result data show that student learning outcomes of experimental class prestest is 40.75 and postest 79.375 mean score, and control class pretest was 54.37 posttest and  73.875 mean score. Based on rejection of hypothesis show that student learning outcomes which teach by innovative module is higher than using original textbook. Abstract

Abstract Spinach (Spinacia oleracea) is the vegetable which has high nutrition content. It places spinach in King of vegetable’s range. Contains few calories but rich in vitamin A, vitamin C and iron mainly. Research comparison of the levels of iron in red and green spinach was done in chemical laboratory of polytechnic health Ministry of Health Indonesia Medan Analis Health department and Health Laboratory Medan on march-july 2013. This study aimed to know iron levels  in red and green spinach. Study samples were 8 red spinach and 8 green spinach randomly chosen from Aksara market Medan. Iron levels were examined by atomic absorption spectrophotometer (λ =248,3 nm). Quantitative test result showed iron levels in green spinach (6,66 mg% - 8,18 mg%) was higher than red spinach (2,63 mg%  - 4,34 mg%)Keywords: spinach, iron (Fe) level, atomic absorption spectrophotometer

Abstract

Abstract The research was aim to investigate the relation between food animal origin dietary patterns and breast cancer in Banda Aceh. This case-control study compared the dietary pattern of food animal origin  between 45 breast cancer patients and 45 age-matched controls. Six  dietary patterns were difined by food frequency questioner (FFQ): food animal origin, preserved of food animal origin, processing of food, fats and oils, vegetables and fruits patterns. Preserved of food animal origin were significantly associated with the incidence of breast cancer with an odds ratio (OR) 5.86 [95% confidence interval (CI) = 1.49-21.65] respectively; p = 0.013; while food animal origin, processing of food. fats and oils, vegetables and fruits dietary patterns were not associated with the incidence of breast cancer. The conclution of the research that salt fish and keumamah  play an important role of the assosiation.Keywords : Breast cancer, dietary patterns, food animal origin

Abstract

Abstract   It has been researched the evaluation of PGMIPAU program based on the Context, Input, Process, Product (CIPP) model to chemistry education department, PGMIPAU classes, 2013/2014. The goal of the research was to evaluate the PGMIPAU program by using CIPP model and to analyse each aspect of it in order to give decision and recommendation about the program continuation. To achieve the goal of the research, we conducted the qualitative descriptive research. The samples were the management of chemistry education department, the faculties of PGMIPAU subjects which consisted of analytical chemistry II, english for chemistry II, and physical chemistry II at PGMIPAU classes, and the students of PGMIPAU. The data were acquired by interview, queisioner, and academic test. The data avaluation were done by using triangulation data and queisioner analysis was used descriptive statistic, scale 5. The result of the research showed that several aspects which corroded the PGMIPA program from CIPP model point of view. As general, there were minor factors which affected the lerning outcome, however it might be fixed in the future for perfection of this program. Based on the evaluation result to PGMIPAU program using CIPP model, it was decided that PGMIPAU program should be continued and needed several notes to has it perfected.

Abstract

AbstractObesity is a global epidemiology and serious healthy treat due to morbidity and mortality raised. On the whole of the adult population in the world get obese 7.7% in men and 11.9% in women. Adipose tissue accumulates on obesity functioning as endocrine gland secrets all sitokin and peptide hormones. The secretion of those sitokin and hormones play role in controlling body weight balancing and energy metabolism. Resistin an adipositokin (adipokin) secreted by  adiposit that assumes to have important role as circuit between adiposity and insulin resistance. Physical exercises could influence resistin levels and blood sugar on obesity. This research aims to identify the influence of physical exercises ((healthy heart gym) of resistin and blood sugar levels on obesity. The design of this research uses purposive sampling. The subject of the study 25 female students of 18-21 years of age of Poltekkes Nutrition Department Kemenkes Aceh. Gymnastic exercise program done with a healthy heart with a frequency of 5 times a week for 4 weeks with intensity 30 minutes. The result of pre and post resistin levels checked is analyzed both descriptively and inferentially by t test and correlation (moment/pearson).   The result of t test of and correlation found that; there is no influence physical exercises toward resistin levels at the people with obesity (p= 0, 45), there is influence physical exercises (healthy heart gym) toward blood sugar levels of the people with obesity. (p=0, 03), there is no significant influences between resistin levels and blood sugar levels of the people with obesity in pre and posttest (p=0, 26). Based on the finding above, we may conclude that the physical exercises (healthy heart gym) influences toward blood sugar levels, but it doesn’t toward resistin levels.Keywords : Obesity, Resistin, blood sugar levels, physical exercises (healthy heart gym)

Abstract

Abstract The Research on application of cooperative learning to play the answer has been done to improve student achievement on the subject of colloid in class XI IPA SMAN 5 Pekanbaru on May 20th until June 05th. Form of research is experimental research with pretest-posttest design. The sample consist of two class, namely class XI IPA 5 as the experimental class and class XI IPA as control class which randomly selected after had tested normality and homogeneity. Experimental class is a class that implemented cooperative learning model playing the answers while the control class used discussion information methods. Data analysis technique used is the t-test. Based on the results of the final data processing using t-test formula obtained tcount>ttable (3,042 > 1,67) means the application of cooperative learning model playing the answers can improve student achievement on the subject of colloids in class XI IPA SMAN 5 Pekanbaru, with an increasing percentage of 11,5 % .Keywords :     Playing Answer, Cooperative Learning, Learning Achievement, Colloid

Abstract

Abstract The using of banana stem biomass (Musa paradisiaca) was immobility at ash coal as an adsorb in metal ions iron (Fe) have been researhed. The adsoption capacity determine of metal ions iron (Fe) used Isoterm Langmuir. The analysis of metal ions iron (Fe) by using spectrophotometer UV/Vis and characterization of fungtional group at biomass applies FTIR. The result of this research shows that banana stem biomasa (Musa paradisiacal) was immobility at as coal could adsorb metal ions iron (Fe). The optimum condition was achieved at the pH 5 (5,4196 mg/L), with optimum period of 60 minutes (5,4280 mg/L), proportion mass at 0,5:1 gram (5,5699 mg/L)  and adsorption capacityof ion iron (Fe)  (2,51004 mg/g). Abstract

Abstract This Research intents to know wheather there is relation between emotional  intellegence and study motivation towards the result of studying chemistry sample that is being used is XI th grader of Setia Budi  Abadi Perbaungan High School terms 2013/2024 which consist of 52 students who are separated in to two class.Valid questionnaire is used to determine their emotional intelligences and study motivation. The 14 Questions for emotional intelligence and 13 questions for study motivation.While chemistry student learning outcome data obtained   from chemistry subject teacher.Data has been checked the normality by using liliefors test,for emotional intelligence obtained Lcount = 0,01149, where as for study motivation Lcount= 0,002167,and Ltable= 0,122866,with the result of that  Lcount> Ltable.Which means,the data distributed normally from the result of the hypotesis using multiple corelation test,show that there is positive relation between emotional intelligence and study motivation to chemistry student learning result with enough interpretation.Correlation’s significance is tested with F test at significance level of α= 0,05 with numerator dk 2 and denominator dk 49 show that Ftable= 3,19, while Fcount= 5,536645 (Fcount>F table) which means the relation between emotional  intelligence and study motivation with chemistry student learning result is real andabsolutely relevant statistically (significant). By counting the coefisien of determination gets the big impact of emotional intelligence and study motivation to wards chemistry student learning result is 18,23%. Abstract

Abstract Research on the Determination of Viscosity Money From Rubber by Fillers Charcoal has been done. Each latex was added into the coconut shell charcoal  ( particle size 80 mesh ) were 36 , 38 , 40 , 42 , and 44 grams. Then the latex is coagulated with formic acid in pH 4.7. Formic acid is used as a control for the rubber crumple without the addition of coconut shell. Research carried out by measuring the quality of rubber Money Viscosity. From the results of research it turns out that the value of the viscosity of the money obtained by the addition of charcoal to the rubber in the latex is 72.5 ; 74 ; 75.5 ; 77 ; and 75. It can be seen that the value of the best rubber Mooney viscosity of 75 , so the rubber with medium Mooney viscosity value  able to provide a meeting point between the energy efficient with superior physical properties. Abstract

Abstrak Telah dilakukan penelitian tentang pembuatan adsorben hibrid silika kitosan dan aplikasinya untuk menyerap logam berat Zn(II) dan Cd(II). Silika diperoleh dari abu sekam padi, sedangkan kitosan diperoleh dari kulit udang. Pada penelitian sebelumnya telah dilakukan bahwa perbandingan silika kitosan yang optimum yaitu 20:4% (20 mL larutan natrium silikat : 0,4 gram kitosan dalam 10 mL asetat 2%) dengan luas permukaan 189,405 m2/g. Adsorpsi simultan Zn(II) dan Cd(II) dilakukan dengan metode ekstraksi fase padat (EFP) yang dilakukan dengan variasi pH larutan 4, 5, 6, 7, 8 yang bertujuan untuk menentukan pH optimum dalam proses adsorpsi. Hasil pengukuran dengan menggunakan SSA menunjukkan bahwa Jumlah ion logam Zn(II) dan Cd(II) teradsorpsi maksimum pada pH adsorpsi = 6, dengan jumlah ion logam Zn(II) yang teradsorp lebih besar dibandingkan dengan ion logam Cd(II). Jumlah logam yang teradsorp pada pH 6 untuk logam Zn(II) adalah 44,96 mg/L, sedangkan untuk logam Cd(II) adalah 0,56 mg/L. Metode Ekstraksi Fase Padat (EFP) dengan menggunakan adsorben hibrid silika kitosan lebih selektif dan efektif dalam menyerap ion logam Zn(II) yang mampu mengadsorpsi hingga mencapai 20,51% sedangkan untuk ion logam Cd(II) hanya 0,3%. Kata Kunci : adsorben, hibrid silika kitosan, pH, ekstraksi fase padat (EFP)
