Abstract

Pada era ini, industri makanan berlomba – lomba mengadakan inovasi untuk menciptakan produk makanan baru dengan target konsumen yaitu anak – anak sekolah. Usia Sekolah Dasar (SD) merupakan usia yang mudah untuk dipengaruhi, sehingga perusahaan melakukan berbagai cara untuk menarik perhatian mereka. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melihat pengaruh kemasan, warna, rasa dan pengetahuan gizi terhadap keputusan pembelian produk makanan bagi siswa SD. sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa SD sebanyak 50 orang yang berusia 8 – 9 tahun. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan cara menyebarkan kuisioner tertutup dengan 5 skala Likert. Data dianalisis dengan menggunakan SPSS ver 18, uji yang dilakukan adalah uji validitas, reliabilitas dan uji t. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, diperoleh bahwa uji validitas dan reliabilitas diperoleh bahwa instrumen yang digunakan adalah valid (r hitung > r tabel) dan reliabel, yang dilihat dari nilai Cronbach’s Alpha 0,751. Dari uji t diperoleh bahwa, kemasan (t hitung>t tabel, 2,286>1,679) dan pengetahuan gizi (t hitung>t tabel, 22,421>1,679) berpengaruh terhadap keputusan pembelian, pada taraf signifikan 5%. Selanjutnya, rasa dan warna tidak berpengaruh pada keputusan pembelian. Hasil penelitian dapat digunakan sebagai sumber informasi pengusaha produk makanan dalam melakukan promosi untuk menarik pasar siswa SD.

Abstract

Perkembangan teknologi informasi mengharuskan aspek keamanan data menjadi penting untuk diketahui. Aspek-aspek keamanan data yaitu : Confidentiality, Authentication, Data integrity dan Nonrepudiation. Pengetahuan terhadap aspek keamanan data bertujuan untuk mengetahui sejauh mana usaha yang telah kita lakukan untuk mengamankan data, serta upaya-upaya lanjut yang harus kita lakukan untuk menjamin bahwa data tersebut benar-benar aman. Salah satu upaya pengamanan data yang dilakukan adalah dengan menggunakan kriptografi. Kriptografi sendiri dapat didefenisikan sebagai seni dan ilmu dalam mengamankan pesan. Kriptografi bertujuan mengamankan data, sehingga data yang bersifat rahasia dan penting tidak dapat diakses oleh pihak-pihak yang tidak mempunyai izin untuk data tersebut. Penelitian ini akan menjelaskan langkah - langkah dalam kriptografi dengan metode XOR beserta implementasi salah satu teknik kriptografi modern menggunakan kunci simetris dengan metode XOR untuk enkripsi dan deskripsi data.

Abstract

Motivation is a support or a fundamental reason for one's fighting spirit to do something. While the performance is the measure, and or quality of work of people or groups within the organization in carrying out the main tasks. Functions which guided by norms, standard operating rules, criteria and measurements that set or applicable in the organization. This study aims to decide work enthusiasm on employee performance at PT. XYZ in Medan. Data obtained from questionnaires distributed to respondents numbered 14 people using saturated sampling. The research method used is quantitative descriptive. The results of this study note the regression equation of Y = 73,580 + 353X with a positive value that work enthusiasm has a positive effect on employee performance. While the results of the T test can be seen the results of the T table for df = 12 with a level of 10% while the T count obtained from this study showed a value of 4.346. Due to T count> T table = 4.346> 0.1, then Ha accepted and Ho rejected. Thus, the determination test results obtained with the number R2 (R Square) of 0.36 x 100% = 0.36%. Therefore, it can say that the independent variable influences the dependent variable by 0.36% and the remaining 99.64% is influenced by other variables or indicators not examined in this study.

Abstract

IoT (Internet of Things) has become a separate field of research since the development of internet technology and other communication media, the more human needs are developing about technology, the more research that will be present, the internet of things is one of the thoughts of researchers who optimize several tools such as media sensors, radio frequency identification (RFID), wireless sensor networks and other smart objects that allow humans to easily interact with all equipment connected to the internet network. This paper describes the design of room control systems that utilize the IoT concept as a means for controlling and monitoring Avionic laboratory rooms via wifi in realtime. This helps the laboratory staff and AMTO managers in controlling lighting and monitoring temperature, humidity and smoke in the avionics lab room even though they are not in the laboratory location so as to increase the utility of the equipment.

Abstract

In this optical fiber communication system the initial signal in the form of an electrical signal at the transmitter will be changed by the transducer into a light wave which is then transmitted through a fiber optic cable to the receiver located at the end of the cable. At the receiver the optical signal will be reproduced again by the transducer into an electrical signal. This study aims to analyze the performance due to the influence of optical fiber attenuation, connector damping attenuation resulting in a decrease in power in the optical fiber cable and analyze the results of calculations using the link power budget that aims to find the value of the Transsiver to the Receiver. The area or region observed is the Medan-Tebing Tinggi area with two measuring track areas namely the Range Range which has a range of 89.99 km and the Siantar line which has a range of 99.99 km. The method used is the measurement of power, measurement of attenuation and calculations using the link power budget. Comparison of the results of the two measuring devices used, the results of the two measuring devices do not differ greatly between the power meter with the OTDR. So it can be stated that to see the amount of attenuation, the results will be more accurate by using a power meter. Based on comparison of measurement results using oTDR with the results of calculations using the link power budget method it can be seen the level of performance of an optical fiber communication system. For Core 1 range, the comparison is 0.063% and 0.073% for core 2. while for Tebing Tinggi 1 core, the comparison result is 0.032% and 0.005% is obtained for core 2. it can be stated that the performance of the optical fiber communication system is normal and can be used to operate. So that when connecting the optical cable, if it is broken, it must be connected using the same cable and connecting the optical fiber when the core is sterile so that the connection is perfect.

Abstract

The purpose of National education is to create quality of human beings. In effort to improve and produce human resources, it is inseparable from the performance of all lecturers as the core of teaching and learning process. Lecturers are the main characters and key points in the whole process of education, especially in universities. The purpose of this study was to examine the influence of Lecturer Competency on Learning Outcome at Politeknik LP3I Medan. The four competencies as follows Pedagogical competence, personality competence, social competence and professional competence. This research is an Descriptive Quantitaive. The research in Politeknik LP3I Medan, wit 45 lecturers as respondents. Data collection in this research uses a questionnaire. Data analysis using multiple regressions analysis. The result of this research showed that the influence of personality competence and professional competence on learning outcome is significant, but influence of pedagogical competence and social competence on learning outcome is not significant. And then F test of Lecturer Competence Models on Learning Outcome at Politeknik LP3I Medan is not significant.

Abstract

Determination of outstanding lecturers is useful to improve the quality of knowledge for a lecturer, the selection of lecturers who are competent in the results obtained can improve the quality of learning. The lack of knowledge of a lecturer is caused by the lack of care from a lecturer in developing a career so that the lecturer does not have competence in his career. The absence of selection of lecturers who excel at the national or university level makes lecturers minimal in developing their knowledge. The selection of lecturers who have achievements is very useful to improve the ability of lecturers to develop knowledge in achievement. The existence of criteria in the selection of outstanding lecturers can be applied by utilizing the electre method in producing criteria in determining outstanding lecturers. Based on the selection of outstanding lecturers that have been done from the many lecturers who participated in only one lecturer who was entitled to receive an award as an outstanding lecturer.

Abstract

The design of financial applications in this Arya stall is based on huge business opportunities in the stall, therefore this stall wants to expand its business and requires financial applications that can support this business activity. Financial applications in the Aryan stalls made include master data, expenditure transactions, sales transactions, and financial reports that are expected to approach accounting rules such as (income statement, owner's equity statement and balance sheet report), while the process of making this application uses the Visual Study programming language 2010 and Microsoft SQL Server 2008 as its database and design using Data Flow Diagrams (DFD). The results of this study produce applications that can provide report information that is useful for decision makers for the owner of the stall and this financial application can facilitate the processing of data such as sales and expenditure transactions.

Abstract

This research is very important to be carried out considering the crucial role of English for students of Politeknik LP3I Medan. Yet, in this study later, researchers will investigate the model of English teaching lecturers by analyzing the utterances they say to students while teaching. Here the researcher will analyze the utterance by using FIACS (Accept feelings, Praises or encourages, Accepts or uses ideas, Ask questions, Lecturing, Giving direction, Criticizing or justifying authority) to see the types of lecturers' speeches and student responses (students talk response, students talk initiation, Silence or confusion) in teaching and learning activities. Then the researcher will analyze the teaching model applied by the lecturer with other supporting theories. The research method used in this study is a qualitative analysis of the content in which all data will be displayed and analyzed according to the contents of the interaction of students and lecturers when the English learning process takes place and the results of this study will be explained qualitatively. Data will be collected through transcripts from video recordings containing lecturers' teaching dialogues for 1 month and closed interviews. The sample of this study was two English lecturers at the Lp3i Medan Polytechnic Directorate level I & II. Then, the data that has been collected will be analyzed in several stages, such as: transcribing, data displaying, classifying, analyzing, comparing and concluding. The results of this study found that the two lecturers used as samples in this study used all kinds of speech contained in the theory of Flanders 2010 with different portions, but lecturer A was more dominant using the type of questioning, while lecturer B was more dominant giving direction with the same goal namely stimulating students to actively participate in interacting in class using English. Then the researchers found that both in lecture class A and lecture B, students actively interacted both in responding to lecturers and communicating among their peers. It can be concluded that the lecturers use students-centered learning methods to create a communicative classroom atmosphere and familiarize students more with interacting using English and this study also found that computer engineering students whose predominantly male students had kinesthetic characters active so that they are more active when the lecturer stimulates movement and practice. Abstract

Traffic light or what we call traffic lights is a device that functions to regulate the flow of vehicles on the road. However, as we know, there are still many vehicle users who violate the traffic light signs, especially in areas that lack supervision from the authorities so that many cause accidents or traffic jams. The number of accidents from year to year continues to grow. Congestion occurs everywhere, especially in big cities. One reason is the lack of tolerance between drivers and motorists. They overtook each other not to budge with one another and also not infrequently violated the traffic lights. The author here tries to create a system of monitoring the level of traffic light violations on the highway based on the ATmega16 microcontroller and also displays data on the number of traffic light violations with a graphical display on the computer. Not all objects can be detected accurately and directly, depending on the level of a vehicle. To be able to implement a traffic light monitoring system accurately, we need a communication system and display that is appropriate, reliable and accurate, so that data on violations that occur can be sent accurately and realtime and can be directly observed.
