Abstract

Decision support systems are part of computer-based information systems including knowledge-based systems or knowledge management that are used to support decision making in an organization or company. It can also be said as a computer system that processes data into information for making decisions on specific semi-structured problems. The Wighted Product method is part of the Fuzzy Multi Attribute Decision Making (FMADM) concept where normalization is required in the calculation. The Weighted Product method is expected to be able to develop a decision support system software that can be used by an agency, which will be an alternative choice and give a weighted value to the comparison of alternatives and their criteria, while the criteria are discipline, responsibility, loyalty and quality of work. The criteria have been determined by the company. The results showed that the use of the Weighted Product as a decision support system model for determining employee bonus recipients at UD. Rama Jaya Trading can assist company owners in determining which employees are entitled to be recommended to receive multi-criteria weighting bonuses and selection more quickly, carefully and more effectively.

Abstract

Private Universities (PTS) are an option to continue post-graduate education, especially in the city of Medan. Quality private universities are very influential in carrying out education. To make it easier to compete in the world of work. Because a good PTS has a good accreditation, because PTS accreditation is very influential in the world of work. Especially in the career path, acceptance of new workers. Determining PTS in this Medan city is not easy, because there are many PTS in this Medan city. There are too many private universities in existence, making it difficult to choose PTS manually, and the results of the selection are sometimes inaccurate and become a problem in selecting the best PTS. Decision Support System (DSS) is a system that can assist a person in making accurate and targeted decisions. The method used in the Decision Support System is to use the Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP). This method was chosen because it is able to find the best alternative from a number of alternatives, in this case the intended alternative is the one that has the right to become the best private university based on the specified criteria.

Abstract

In the selection of these light bulbs, users are often confused with the choice of light bulbs that are so widely circulated in the market, ranging from brands, types, quality, prices that continue to compete and with other advantages on offer often make users confused to get Energy efficient light bulbs at affordable prices and with the best quality. The problem doesn't just stop there when placing light bulbs in each room of the house also often gets into trouble. The problem that is often caused is mismatch, this usually happens when the light bulb has been placed. The wattage capacity of the light bulb often does not match the size of the room, resulting in less than optimal lighting. Watt capacity or large power consumption sometimes also does not guarantee to be able to get good lighting. Therefore we need a decision support system that can calculate values ​​to be able to help users determine the desired light bulb properly and precisely according to needs. This decision support system implements the technique for order preference by simillarity to ideal solution (TOPSIS) method, which is a method that can give weighting and ranking for each criterion. With the technique for order preference by simillarity to ideal solution (TOPSIS) method, the author creates a system that is expected to later be able to assist decision making in the selection of electric light bulbs.

Abstract

Determination of outstanding lecturers is useful to improve the quality of knowledge for a lecturer, the selection of lecturers who are competent in the results obtained can improve the quality of learning. The lack of knowledge of a lecturer is caused by the lack of care from a lecturer in developing a career so that the lecturer does not have competence in his career. The absence of selection of lecturers who excel at the national or university level makes lecturers minimal in developing their knowledge. The selection of lecturers who have achievements is very useful to improve the ability of lecturers to develop knowledge in achievement. The existence of criteria in the selection of outstanding lecturers can be applied by utilizing the electre method in producing criteria in determining outstanding lecturers. Based on the selection of outstanding lecturers that have been done from the many lecturers who participated in only one lecturer who was entitled to receive an award as an outstanding lecturer.

Abstract

City parks are the main resource in improving the quality of the environment, therefore a good and quality city park is needed to improve the quality and quality of health. One of the efforts to get a quality and good park location is to choose the location of the opening of the park properly. The decision support system carried out at the Medan City Park Service is still conventional which is only based on certain elements so that the assessment is still subjective. Based on these problems, in this study a decision support system was developed using the Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) method for determining the location of urban park development. This system uses user-defined criteria and intensity, processed with AHP calculations, and produce a list of assessments for each city park location that will be selected. The results of testing this decision support system state that the system has been running correctly, so this system can be used to assist leaders in making more objective decisions on choosing the location of city parks.

Abstract

Branding packaging merupakan salah satu cara untuk memikat calon konsumen UMKM dalam menentukan keputusan untuk membeli produk UMKM. Masih banyak pelaku UMKM yang tidak faham mengenai fungsi branding dan menciptakan branding produk mereka. Dari hasil survey angket yang kami berikan kepada pelaku UMKM di Binjai yang tergabung dalam organisasi IWAPI (Ikatan Wanita Pengusaha Indonesia) 79% belum memahami peran branding produk khususnya sebagai cirikhas produk UMKM, untuk dapat bersaing dipasar global maka UMKM harus terus berinovasi dan mengembangkan produk mereka. Melalui kegiatan pengabdian Masyarakat ini memberi motivasi dan pengetahuan kepada pelaku UMKM khususnya di Binjai. Tujuan dari pengabdian ini selain memotivasi dan memberi sosialisasi kepada pelaku UMKM mengenai peran branding packaging dalam meningkatkan penjualan juga sebagai media promosi digital kepada konsumen, serta sinergi kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat yang dilakukan oleh akademisi. Metode yang digunakan dalam pengabdian ini bersifat diskusi, ceramah dan praktik branding digital secara visual.

Abstract

Wajah merupakan identitas yang sangat penting perannya dan unik saat ini dalam kehidupan manusia, sehingga kajian dan penelitian tentang wajah menjadi topik yang menarik dengan menghadirkan berbagai metode. Menangkap atau mengambil gambar melalui perangkat teknologi seperti kamera adalah proses pengolahan yang terjadi pada foto digital. Dalam tulisan ini, klasifikasi menggunakan dua metode: Pertama, metode pengklasifikasi haar- cascade digunakan untuk deteksi wajah dari foto digital dengan tingkat akurasi sebesar 90%, untuk presisi sebesar 96% dan recall sebesar 93%. Kedua, metode jaringan saraf konvolusional (convolutional neural network) digunakan untuk melatih dan memvalidasi dataset dari hasil ekstraksi wajah sebanyak 500 epoch, tingkat akurasi yang diperoleh sebesar 0,66%.

Abstract

This research introduces an innovative approach for pattern recognition in medical images through the application of Robert's edge detection method. Pattern recognition in medical images has great significance in disease diagnosis and patient care management. Edge detection is an important stage in image processing which aims to determine the boundaries of objects in the image. Robert's edge detection method is one of the classic methods that has been used in image processing. However, improving edge detection performance is needed to improve accuracy in pattern recognition in medical images. In this study, we propose a modified variation of Robert's method to increase the accuracy in finding edges in medical images. The proposed innovative approach is tested using a large and diverse medical image dataset. Evaluation is carried out by comparing the edge detection results using the conventional Robert method with the results using the proposed modified method. Quantitative analysis is carried out to measure the performance improvements achieved. Experimental results show that the modified Robert edge detection method produces significant improvements in precision and accuracy in finding edges in medical images. These results indicate that the proposed innovative approach has the potential to improve pattern recognition in medical images and can make valuable contributions in the diagnosis and management of diseases.

Abstract

Pandemi covid sangat berdampak bagi dunia pendidikan karena menyebabkan terbatasnya interaksi dosen dan mahasiswa. Kegiatan belajar dan mengajar terhambat sehingga kegiatan mengajar offline beralih menjadi online baik perkuliahan, seminar dan tugas akhir. Pandemi juga berdampak pada kualitas karya ilmiah mahasiswa. Mahasiswa harus mengecek plagiasi dari karya ilmiah agar terciptanya karya tulis yang berkualitas. Mahasiswa yang akan menghadapi Tugas Akhir mengalami kesulitan dalam penulisan daftar rujukan karena masih dilakukan secara manual dan mahasiswa juga belum mengenal aplikasi Referensi. Salah satu aplikasi referensi yang banyak digunakan adalah aplikasi Mendeley. Aplikasi Mendeley digunakan pada sosialisasi untuk mengatur kutipan penelitian, pustaka digital pribadi, mengatur dan membuat anotasi dokumen serta saling berkolaborasi dan berbagi dengan kolega secara online. Aplikasi Mendeley sebagai platform yang mendukung MS Windows, Mc, dan linux digunakan dalam sosialisai panduan Tugas Akhir Tahun 2022 dan Implementasi Mendeley pada Tugas Akhir Program Studi Teknik Komputer.

Abstract

Image classification is a crucial technique in digital image processing, used in various applications such as object recognition, surveillance systems, and medical image analysis. This research explores the use of gradient magnitude-based edge detection and Robert's Cross methods in improving the classification accuracy of grayscale images. Edge detection is used to identify object boundaries, while gradient magnitude amplifies intensity differences, thus clarifying existing patterns. Through experiments conducted on grayscale images, the results show that this method is able to detect edges with significant accuracy. The gradient values obtained from the combination of Rx and Ry matrices give a strong indication of the presence of edges, which plays an important role in image classification. With an accuracy of 75%, the method proved to be effective, although there are still challenges in dealing with images with high noise or low contrast. The conclusion of this study shows that the combination of edge detection and gradient magnitude is a promising approach for image classification, providing results that can be applied in various domains, including medical and surveillance. Further research is recommended to optimize this approach and extend its application to more complex datasets.
