Abstract

Mathematics lessons, especially fractions, need to be given to all students starting from elementary school to equip students with the ability to think logically, analytically and creatively, and the ability to cooperate. Fractional material, in mathematics learning is difficult to learn by students in class V Elementary School 003 Kopung Island Sentajo. Fractions have been taught from low classes with introducing stages, fractions are equal, add up, subtract, multiply and divide various forms of fractions. However, student learning outcomes are still low. To improve the results of students' learning comprehension the researchers used the Realistic Mathematic Education (RME) approach. From the analysis of data on students' learning outcomes before and after the application of the Realistic Mathematic Education approach, only 10 students completed or 43.47% with incomplete categories. After the first cycle, students who completed it increased to 16 people or by 69.56% with incomplete categories. For the second cycle, the number of students who completed as many as 20 people or equal to 89.95% with complete categories.

Abstract

This research was a classroom action research. This research was conducted in two cycles. The subjects of this study were students of grade XII SMA 10 Pekanbaru. The purpose of this study was to increase motivation and learning outcomes of students of SMA 10 Pekanbaru totaling 37 students. Physical material was given on the subject of static electricity. At the beginning the students were given a test to find out the students' learning abilities. It turns out that the pre-cycle scores of students were 79.05; lowest score was 75 and highest one was 82. Uncompleted students were 26 (70.27%) and the completed one was 11 students (29.73%). Criterion of Minimal Completness of School was 81. Furthermore, using the STAD method involves a lot of students in finding problems and solving them. The results obtained in the first cycle averaged 81.76; uncompleted was 18 (48.65%), completed one was 19 (51.35%). In the cycle II all of Student was complete (100%). The range and assessment criteria for pre cycle were high 11 (29.73%), enough one was 26 (70.27%). The first cycle was 18 (48.65%), 19 (51.35%), and the second cycle was 36 (97.30%) and very high was 1 (02.70%). Motivation of students in the first cycle to do the task diligently and quickly and happy and loyal in learning was enough 54.05%. at cycle II response and strong motivation in learning were 81.08% and happy and loyal in learning were high 83.78%

Abstract

The background of this study is the low value of students' essay writing skills at the SDIT Main Insan Pekanbaru. This study also aims to improve students' essay writing skills by applying cooperative learning models using objects directly to class V SDIT Main Insan Pekanbaru students. This type of research is classroom action research. The place for conducting this research was at the SDIT Insan Utama Pekanbaru school, with 22 students. The object of this research is the skill of writing a description using a direct object. Methods of collecting data using tests and observations. Instruments in the form of test questions and observation sheets. Data were analyzed by quantitative descriptive analysis. The results of the study show that the use of cooperative learning models using objects can directly improve the essay writing skills of the fifth grade students of SDIT Insan Utama Pekanbaru. The results of the students' description essay writing skills in the initial data were 56.68 which increased in UH I to 75.63 (increased by 33.43%) seen in UH II increased to 83.54 (increasing by 47.43%)

Abstract

The aim of this research is to develop web-based learning media using the blog and the feature of information and communication technology which is combined with discovery learning model to teach English lecture in non-English class in STKIP PGRI Trenggalek. The research design used is research and development invented by Borg and Gall which is modified with ASSURE method. The instrument used are interview and questionnaire. The collected data then be analyzed qualitatively and quantitatively. The result of the development is a learning blog with 5 menus, they are Home, Site guide, Chapter, Forum dan Credit. Within the use of media, students will experience learning which utilizes discovery model namely 2W3L. The final product of this learning media has been validated by blog-basis media expert with the score of 83 which means the media is good and there is no revision, meanwhile, the expert of learning content gives 88.8 points which means the learning steps of discovery and the material are very good and no revision. This valid and proper media is also accepted by the students very well.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the frequent occurrence of errors and discrepancies in determining capital letters and punctuation of fifth grade students of SD Negeri 161 Pekanbaru. The purpose of this study was to find out and describe the ability of fifth grade students to determine capital letters and punctuation marks in narrative essays. This research was conducted in class V of 161 Pekanbaru Elementary School. This type of research is quantitative descriptive. The sample in this study were fifth grade students with 84 students. The data collection instruments used are in the form of reading texts in the form of essays that are still misspellings and punctuation marks. The results showed that the students' ability to determine capital letters and punctuation as a whole indicator belonged to a sufficient category with an average value of 59.44.

Abstract

This research was motivated by the learning outcomes of students' natural sciences that were still low. The purpose of this study was to improve student learning outcomes with the application of the Contextual Teaching And Learning approach. This research is a classroom action research consisting of II cycles with research subjects in class VI of 007 Kampung Baru State Primary School Gunung Toar District, Kuantan Singingi Regency. The results showed that, judging from the basic score, the lowest value of students was 50 while the highest score of students was 85 with an average grade of 62.78 with an incomplete category. in the first cycle the lowest value of students was 65 while the highest value of students was 90 with an average grade of 74 with a complete category. For learning outcomes in cycle II, the lowest value of students is 75 while the highest value of students is 100 with the average value of class 84.47 with complete categories. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that the application of the Contextual Teaching And Learning learning approach assisted by media images can improve the learning outcomes of Natural Sciences students of class VI 007 Public Primary School Kampung Baru, Gunung Toar District, Kuantan Singingi Regency.

Abstract

The background of this research is the low learning outcomes of Indonesia languange students in grade IV SD Negeri 005 Koto Perambahan Kecamatan Kampar Timur Kabupaten Kampar. The purpose of this research was to improve the learning outcomes of Indonesia language the use of the learning model Teams Game Tournament of students in grade IV SD Negeri 005 Koto Perambahan Kecamatan Kampar Timur Kabupaten Kampar. The subject of this research is the students of class IV with the number of students 36, that is 20 male students dan 16 female students. This research was conducted in three cycles and each cycle consisted of two meetings. The results of research showed that in cycle I the results of group work, very good category students amount to 4 students  or 11.11%. In cycle II, very good category students amount to 12 students or  33.33%. In the cycle III, the very good  category students amount to 16 students  or 44.44%. In the cycle I for learning outcomes, students who complete there are 12 students (33.33%) In the cycle II, students who completed completed increased to 17 students (47.22%). In the cycle III, students who completed increased again to 29 students (80.56%). The results of this research indicate that the use of the learning model Teams Game Tournament can improve the learning outcomes of Indonesia languange students in grade IV SD Negeri 005 Koto Perambahan Kecamatan Kampar Timur Kabupaten Kampar.
