Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of integrated thematic teaching materials using a Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) approach for elementary school students. This research was an experimental study using a post only test research design. The procedure of this study consisted of a prerequisite test and a hypothesis test. The prerequisite test consisted of tests of normality and homogeneity and the hypothesis test consisted of the T test. The calculation results found that the t count of 12.2023 and t table 11.66895 at the level of significance α = 0.05 because t count waslarger than t table then Ho was rejected , and Ha was accepted. So it can be concluded that there was a significant influence on the use of thematic teaching materials using CTL on the learning outcomes of elementary school students. The implication of this research was that it can be used as a reference in the learning process in elementary schools.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the effect of Jigsaw Cooperative learning on student learning outcomes in social studies learning in grade 5 of elementary school. This research was motivated by the fact that teachers tended to apply conventional learning models, learning was often dominated by teachers, so the learning process was less attractive to students, and student learning outcomes in social studies learning still tended to be low. This research was a quantitative research with quasy experimental research design. The sampling was taken by using purposive sample technique. The research sample consisted of 50 people with a population of 50 people. The treatment that researchers gave to the experimental class aimed to determine the effect that occurred on learning outcomes using the Jigsaw Cooperative Learning Method. The instrument used in collecting data in the form of objective tests with multiple choice forms. Based on the research that has been done, the obtained t-count> t-table was 4.5378> 2.011 with α = 0.05 which meant that H0 was rejected. The average student learning outcomes measured by posttest after learning, namely in the 86.88 experimental class and 75.63 control class. So Ha accepted that there was an influence of the use of Jigsaw Cooperative learning model on student learning outcomes in social studies learning in grade 5 of elementary school.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the quantum learning model assisted by audio visual media on the self efficacy of fifth grade student in social studies subject in Elementary School at Gugus III Tembuku, Bangli in the academic year 2019/2020. This research was a quasi experimental study with a nonequivalent posttest only control grup design. The populations in this study were all fifth grade students of Gugus III Tembuku, Bangli in the academic year 2019/2020 with 186 students. The research sample consisted of 34 students in grade 5 of SD Negeri 5 Yangapi as an experimental grup and fifth grade students of SD Negeri 1 Yangapi as a control group with 26 students. This research used data collection methods with non test techniques. The non-test technique used was a questionnaire to look for self-efficacy data for fifth grade students in social studies subjects. The data of this study were analyzed with descriptive analysis techniques and inferential statistics (t-test). The average acquisition of the experimental group questionnaire was 98, while the average results of the control group questionnaire was 89, 96. Based on the significance level of 5% and dk = 58, it was obtained ttable = 2.001 while the value of tcount = 4.935. So tcount> ttable which proved that H0 is rejected and H1 was accepted. Thus, it can be concluded that there was an influence of the quantum learning model assisted by audio visual media on the self efficacy of Grade 5 students in Social Sciences of Elementary School Gugus III Tembuku, Bangli in the academic year 2019/2020.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the low ability in writing Pantun for elementary school students. The purpose of this study was to determine the improvement of the ability to write pantun for elementary school students using the field trip method. This research was a classroom action research carried out in grade 5 of SDN 01 Nan Sabaris, Padang Pariaman Regency consisting of 30 students. The research procedure consisted of planning, implementing, observing, and reflecting. Data collection techniques used the method of observation, measurement of learning test results and documentation. Data analysis techniques consisted of quantitative data. Quantitative data used to analyze the results of the ability to write Pantun by measuring the percentage of mastery learning and class average. The results showed that the students' initial ability score in writing rhymes was 67.00, cycle I got a score of 72.00, and cycle II got a score of 83.00. This research proved that there was an increase in the ability to write rhymes for elementary school students using the field trip method. The implication of this research is to be used as a reference for teachers in implementing the learning process of Pantun writing for elementary school students.

Abstract

This study was conducted to observe the effect of the Contextual teaching and learning (CTL) approach and learning motivation on the skills of writing Pantun of fifth graders in elementary school. This research was an experimental research with the subject of fifth grade students and carried out in Elementary School Cluster I Pariaman City. The research instruments were a learning motivation questionnaire and performance test. Data analysis was carried out using a two-way ANAVA and t-test. Learning outcomes obtained by using the CTL approach to students was higher than conventional methods, both low motivation and high motivation. CTL approach makes students more interested and enthusiastic in learning to write Pantun. As well as creating new experiences for students, it makes students active and learning more fun compared to conventional methods which make some students become passive.

Abstract

This study aims at creating, implementing dan examining a training design innovation, whether or not it can improve the ability of the trainees. The study was carried out using descriptive-quantitative approach. This study has successfully created a training design called the Reverse Thinking (RT) method. That training design was then applied to the Article Writing Training at the Education and Training Center of the Central Statistics Bureau, attended by widyaiswara and statisticians with a total of 95 participants divided into two batches. The RT method has proven to be very effective in improving the ability of trainees to write scientific articles, both in terms of cognitive, affective, and psychomotoric (practical) aspects. Some indicators were that almost 100% of the trainees successfully submitted their papers to scientific journals on the last day of the training, evenmore 28 articles finally being published. The cognitive abilities of the participants also improved, indicated by the increase of the post-test scores. In the affective aspect, all participants have stated that their motivation in writing articles increased, as shown by the concentrated value between 7 and 10, from the 1 – 10 Likert Scale. Those results proved that the RT method could effectively improve competence of the training participants, both teoritically and practically.

Abstract

Learning process is a learning activity for students which can cause the changes of students’ behavior that also called as learning interest. Student learning interests affect student enthusiasm and activeness in the learning process. So students have high spirits to be able to improve learning outcomes. One of the learning models that can be used to increase students’ learning interest and learning outcomes in natural science subjects is the creativity learning model. This study aims to determine the effect of the creativity learning model on learning interest and learning outcomes of natural sciences in grade 5 students of Elementary School I Cluster Buleleng District. This research was a quasi-experimental study with a nonequivalent posttest only control group research design. The populations in this study were all fifth grade students of Elementary School I Cluster Buleleng District totaling 209 students. The sample of this research was the fifth grade students of SDN 1 Banyuning as an experimental group totaling 29 students and the fifth grade students of SDN 8 Banyuning as a control group totaling 30 students. This study used test and non-test methods, learning interest data were collected using a questionnaire and data on natural science learning outcomes were collected using essay tests. Data were analyzed with descriptive statistics and the MANOVA test. The average scores of the questionnaire for learning interest in the experimental group was 116.14 with "very good" category and the control group was 34.7 with "bad" category. Hypothesis test results showed F = 9582,776. The results of the study had a significance of 0,000 <0.05. Based on the analysis of these data H0 was rejected and H1 was accepted. Thus, it can be concluded that there was an influence of the Creativity Learning model on learning interest and learning outcomes of natural sciences in grade 5 students of Elementary School I Cluster Buleleng District.
