Abstract

The Role of Indonesian Islamic Students in Forming the Religious Character of Youth in Bitung City. This study aims to find out the role of Indonesian Islamic students in shaping the religious character of students in Bitung City and find out what are the obstacles and challenges of Indonesian Islamic Students in shaping the religious character of adolescents in Bitung City.Data collection techniques in this study are observation techniques, interviews and documentation. The research collects data by observing the object of research directly and conducting it to related parties being studied. The data analysis techniques used in the research are data reduction, data presentation, data verification and drawing conclusions. Next, checking the validity of the data was carried out in two ways, namely, source triangulation and technical triangulation.The research findings show that: (1) The role of Indonesian Islamic Students in shaping the religious character of adolescents in Bitung City, namely: a) Indonesian Islamic Student Training, b) ta'lim, c) hospitality, d) Caring Indonesian Muslim Students, e) Advocacy, f) Students, g) visits to several schools. (2) Obstacles and challenges of Indonesian Islamic Students in forming the religious character of youth in Bitung City, namely: a) Adjustment of time, b) Lack of active cadres, c) Lack of communication, and d) lack of cadre loyalty

Abstract

Writing Strategy: an Analysis Of Successful Malahayati English Council Learners in Writing. The purpose of this study is to discover what kinds of learning strategies are used by successful learners to improve their English writing skills. This study employed an explanatory mixed method. A questionnaire is an instrument used to collect data. The population in this study was Malahayati English Council students enrolled in writing classes, and the sample consisted of students who earned an A (86-100) in the final writing subject. The data was analyzed using a simple statistic and the cumulative frequency distribution method. Based on the result of this study, it was concluded that first, Writing is a continuous process of thinking, organizing, rethinking, and reorganizing. It requires command of vocabulary, spelling, grammar, punctuation, appropriate content, and word selection for the audience, topic, and occasion. A writer must be able to think and express ideas in well-organized sentences with high coherence. Second, successful learners applied the writing strategies those are suggested by the expert. They used those strategies to solve all problems and to get the best results in writing. Third, the strategy employed is to divide the writing process into four stages: prewriting, drafting, revising, and editing

Abstract

The Urgency of Applying the Talqin Method to Improve the Ability to Memorize Al-Quran at Pondok Tahfiz Rba Asy Syifa Curup. Becoming a hafiz or having a generation that memorizes the Al Quran is the hope of Muslims, because it is a virtue that can bring its owner happiness in this world and the hereafter. This research is motivated by the development of institutions or foundations and schools that hold Tahfidz Al Quran learning programs, one of which is Pondok Tahfiz RBA Asy Syifa Curup. The problem that often occurs with students is difficulty in memorizing the Koran and weakness in reciting the verses of the Koran well. This research is field research (Field Research) that is descriptive and qualitative in nature. Data collection techniques through observation, interviews, and documentation. Then the data analysis technique uses data reduction, data presentation, and conclusions or verification as well as testing the credibility of the data using source and technique (method) triangulation. The results of the research that we want to know are about the urgency of applying the talqin method in increasing students' memorization and looking at the quality of students' memorization at Pondok Tahfidz RBA Asy Syifa Curup.

Abstract

Various Utilization of Textbooks as Media for Learning English in Bitung City, North Sulawesi. This study aims to determine the criteria for determining textbooks as a media for learning English and the benefits, weaknesses, and advantages of textbooks. This research is qualitative and descriptive. The data collection techniques use in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation. The results of this study indicate that textbooks have a role as learning media in the teaching and learning process. 1) Criteria in selecting textbooks are: a) relevant to the curriculum, b) the material in textbooks is productive and receptive, c) The textbook material is based on the basic principles of learning foreign languages, d) Engaging content with media images in it, e) Have various types of evaluation that can measure learning achievement. 2) Using textbooks as media, learning resources, and learning evaluation tools. 3) Weaknesses and strengths of textbooks as a media for learning English a) unavailability of textbooks for each student, b) much material. Utilization Textbooks have advantages a) have a complete side, b) make it easier for teachers to deliver material, and visualization c) have varied questions

Abstract

Students' Interest in Non-Formal Education; Case Study at Madrasah Diniyah Awaliyah Darul Ulum Al-Ihsani. Students' interest in madrasah diniyah is decreasing even though this religious college has been developing for quite a long time. The purpose of this qualitative research is to ascertain the state of the Sumbaga Village community, students' interest in MDA Darul Ulum Al-Ihsani Sumbaga Village, and the state of MDA Darul Ulum Al-Ihsani Sumbaga Village. The subjects of this study were the foundation's head, the madrasa's head, and the Darul Ulum Al-Ihsani MDA teacher, parents and students who dropped out and did not continue to MDA, students who were still in MDA school, and their parents. Data on student interests was collected through interviews, observations, and documentation. The collected data was analyzed in three stages: data reduction, data display, and conclusion and verification. The results of this study show that the Sumbaga Village community is in good shape in terms of religion, education, and the economy, as well as the infrastructure owned by MDA Darul Ulum Al-Ihsani, but student interest in learning remains low due to students' poor physical condition and family economy, for example. Following up on the study's findings, a unique strategy is required to increase students' interest in non-formal education at MDA Darul Ulum Al-Ihsani from both madrasas and students' parents

Abstract

Tolerance Education Based on Local Wisdom Contextual Learning. This research uses the ethnographic method. Interview technique, interviewed informants came from several groups. Researchers also interviewed 6 community leaders. The social relations in the Sukamaju community show a harmonious multiethnic social relationship. The role of local Luwu culture cannot be separated from multiethnic harmony. As a newcomer, the Sukamaju transmigration community always prioritizes peace. Local wisdom in Tana Luwu for example; Sipakatau means humanizing each other, Sipakalebbi means mutual respect, Sipakaingge 'which means reminding each other of Sipakatou (an expression of mutual love). Cultural values are the glue for the creation and maintenance of religious harmony in Tana Luwu. The value of local wisdom in Tana Luwu is in line with the values of pluralism that grow and develop in Indonesia

Abstract

Development of Puzzle Media in the Fiqh Subject of Fardu Prayer Material at MTs Al-Inayah Manado. This study aims to produce puzzle media products in the fiqh subject of fardu prayer material and test the feasibility of these products to support learning in class VII MTs Al-Inayah Manado. The development model used is Sugiyono's level 1 development model which has 5 stages, namely potentials and problems, literature study or information gathering, product design, design validation, and tested design. Data collection techniques used in this study were questionnaires, observation, and documentation. The questionnaire was addressed to the media validator and material validator. The subjects of this research trial were educators and class VII students of MTs Al-Inayah Manado, totaling 30 students. The measurement scale used is the Likert scale. The results of the Likert scale measurements, then look for the percentage of a number of sample subjects.The results of this study indicate that this puzzle is suitable for use as teaching material, this is based on scores obtained through assessments from material experts getting a percentage of 87% with very valid criteria, and an assessment score from media experts getting a percentage of 77.33% with valid criteria. In product trials on students, it was found that the percentage of feasibility of puzzle media was 91.6% with very valid criteria. And the response from educators gets a percentage of 85.33% with very valid criteria. Based on the results of expert validation and product trials, the authors can conclude that puzzle media is very suitable for use as teaching material

Abstract

Learning Evaluation Management in Improving Graduate Quality at the Institute of Arabic Studies Ma'had Al-Birr Makassar. This study aims to establish the method and processes for conducting learning evaluations at the Ma'had Al-Birr Institute of Arabic Studies Makassar in order to improve the quality of graduates at Ma'had Al-Birr. In addition, define the elements that help and hinder the execution of the targeted learning evaluation. This study use descriptive qualitative research to collect data and information on learning assessment management in order to improve the quality of Ma'had Al-Birr graduates through observation, document studies, and interviews. The acquired data were evaluated using a descriptive procedure that included three concurrent streams of activities: data reduction or data simplification, data presentation or presentation, and lastly deriving conclusions or verification. The findings revealed that learning evaluation management at Ma'had Al-Birr Makassar had been successfully managed through planning, coordinating, executing, and overseeing. All parties, from the leadership team to the lecturers, are participating in the evaluation of learning at Ma'had Al-Birr, either directly or indirectly. In this scenario, the academic field plays a critical role in determining the effectiveness of the learning program at Ma'had Al-Birr, including learning assessment. There are supporting and inhibiting variables in the learning evaluation process at Ma'had Al-Birr, however keep in mind that in general, the learning assessment can be assured and responsible for its quality, thus these inhibiting factors do not greatly impact the learning evaluation process
