Abstract

Teacher quality improvement program has been implemented by the government starting with the establishment of minimum standards of the teachers’competence including: pedagogical competence, personal competence, professional competence, and social competence.In general, the elementary school level teacher’s competence, post-certification, is still at a low level. The ability of teachers at the four competency primarily on professional competence and pedagogical competence has not described the behavior as a professional teacher. In fact, the teachers have been certified.The research results were as follow: 1) Professional competence indicated that teachers relativelymaster the teaching materials, students, skill in selecting and using teaching methods, and be exemplary in appearance and speech in the classroom and at school and in the community; 2) pedagogical competence demonstrated that teachers relativelymake learning design and manage learning, develop curricula, conduct evaluations and guide students to actualize their potential; 3) The personal competence demonstrated that the teachers’ personal capacity relatively reflects the personality of a solid, stable, mature, wise and authoritative, a role model for students, and noble; and 4) social competence shown that teachers are relatively able to communicate and interact effectively with students, with peers, parents/guardians of students and the surrounding community.

Abstract

Aims to help teachers of English in overcoming difficulties and student learning in English lessons . Efforts English teacher with the development model through the elaboration of Media Audio Visual . Techniques of collecting data using questionnaires , observation and interviews . Implementation of the trial , as well as the acquisition of skills competency test text writing . All data collected were analyzed quantitatively and qualitatively using a simple matter of percentages . Based on the results of the discussion can be concluded that the results " Development of a model elaboration for proficiency text writing with media Audiovisual in the subjects of English Class X Administration Department SMK Negeri 2 Singkawang " which includes the design development models elaboration , procedures for use use models elaboration , as well as the impact of Media Valid audio- visual that is based on the display content, the learning aspect and the aspect programan.

Abstract

This research was directed to find out “penerpan” model of investigative group in the learning process to support the preparation of candidates for professional teachers in the Faculty of Education in University of Tanjungpura. The approach used in this study is a combination of qualitative and quantitative approaches (mixing qualitative and quantitative method), which was developed through the course of Professional Education on research subjects of Physics Education Study Program students who take these courses. The study found that the group investigating models were able to improve their knowledge and understanding about the implementation of the learning process in schools. Similarly, this model was able to increase the the students’ dimensions of values applied to improve the ability of students. This is the model of investigative group designed and implemented in an integrated manner for the subject courses of Professional Education, by optimizing the active role of students as well as institutional support. This study recommends that this model was developed for a wider variety of courses for improving the knowledge and the expansion of the students’ experience. In addition, the need for further research deepens or extends the findings of this study.

Abstract

It is time to consider aspects of creative education in educating the students, especially in the era of globalization which is full of competition.Creativity is needed in terms of making something new. This study aimed to look at the efforts of early childhood teachers in developing the creativity of early childhood teachers at ten-early childhood institutions (PAUD) in the city of Pontianak in 2015. The method used in this research was by direct observation using a structured observation instruments. The results obtained, by the 80% of teachers observed had to do things that support the creativity of the PAUD with excellent category, but 50% of the teachers still did inhibit creativities.

Abstract

The purpose of this research was to improve students' grammartical skills through "clothesline tenses". Inspired by the natural resources-based West Kalimantan local knowledge, the researcher was constructing media "clothesline tenses" using batik scrap materials cloth stitching authentically from West Kalimantan. Teaching and learning using locally available,plentiful, cheap and effectiveresources provide a good chance for quality teaching. They bring to alive classroom instruction and make learning more exciting. This research reflected that the implementation of this teaching media has increased the students’ grammartical mastery positively. Supporting the positive process resulted, the quantitative data also revealed that without using “clothesline tenses”, students’ learning outcomes showed 39% while using “clothesline tenses” increased to 88%. It can be concluded that the use of "clothesline tenses" can improve the students’grammartical mastery, and attract students to make a lot of correct English sentences meeting the criteria Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL).

Abstract

Dealing with the demands of developing job opportunities, and the importance of English language competence to meet the communication needs in the global industrial business, SMK (Senior Higher Vocational School)is expected to create medium-level “engineers”who are ready to work, adapt and fulfil the industries owner’s requirements. In the miniature of industrial settings the students were educated and prepared to be adopted directly by industries. Therefore, the quality, relevance of education and vocational curriculum are framed with adaptive competence in English directed in accordance with local needs and employment opportunities of the industries provided both nationally and internationally. With highly requiring the English Language Competency, industry, business, society and governent areplacing themselves as the most important factors determining the relevance judgments which are kept in the vocational education.To be skilful and communicative aremostly expected by the whole or a large part of the public to endorse the vocational readiness to be appropriate with the business world. This will also bring SMK to be economic assets that is essential, prospective,and therefore able to support the general welfare and go public.

Abstract

Intelligent and talented students are individuals (learners) clasified as the upper classification having above average intelligence level. Their above average abilities make them have special needs and characteristics. It is necessary to handle counseling to provide solutions of avoiding obstacles on the students themselves or against their friends. With the help of counseling the students are given assistance through the program and suitable techniques in order to develop optimally in accordance with their potentials.
