Abstract

This study was aimed at identifying the preschool children’s (children aged 3 - 5) understanding on parts of the body. It covers the three compnents: 1) the ability to name parts of the body, 2) knowledge of the function of each part of the body named, and 3) the ability to explain how to take care of them. This descriptive study involved 105 preschoolers, as the sample with three criteria: 1) children aged 3 to 5 years old, 2) children without physical disability, and 3) children born in Kubu Raya. The instruments used were media images of the 23 parts of human body. The results showed that 100% of the children knew the eight parts of the body such as the eyes, hair, nose, ears, head, legs, stomach, and mouth. Likewise, the children completely (100%) recognize and know the way how to take care of the body parts. However, they still did not know some parts of the body i.e. the penis, ankles, vagina, upper arm, forearm and wrist, in terms of name, function, or the way to take care of.

Abstract

Implementation of learning in the classroom is one of the main tasks of teachers, and learning can be defined as activities aimed at membelajarkan students. In the learning process is still often found their tendency to minimize the involvement of students. The dominance of the teacher in the learning process leads to the tendency of students more passive so that they are more waiting serving teachers than to seek and find their own knowledge, skills or attitudes that they need. Determination of improper strategy can be fatal, can cause failure of learning. Here of course the task of teachers trying to make learning more exciting and fun for all the students. The strategy was instrumental in creating active learning and fun. One of the active learning strategy is a strategy Everyone Is A Teacher. This strategy is one of the strategies in active learning model (active learning). Abstract

This research purposed to increase students learning activities of XII MIA 3 students of SMA Negeri 2 Pontianak on magnetic induction materials. This research consist of 2 (two) cycles with each meeting takes time 3x45 minutes. Each cycle consisted of planning, implementation, observation, and analysis section.. To get class management and learning activities data, teacher and student’s observation sheet was used. The results showed that application of cooperative learning model Team Assisted Individualization can improve student’s activities in class XII MIA 3 SMA Negeri 2 Pontianak on magnetic induction material from 45 activities in the first cycle to 70 activities in the second cycle.

Abstract

Counseling plays an important role to be given to the student in person or group, so that they reach maturity and attitude and the ability to think positive in everything that happens in this life. To enhance students' understanding of positive thinking ability, the researchers seek to improve service by using the method of Problem Based Learning (PBL) aided Role Playing. PBL is a learning model that uses matter as a first step in collecting and integrating new knowledge. This method is aided by the method of role playing or playing a role. At BK services to enhance the understanding of positive thinking students are given problems / events going on around them. Furthermore, students solve and take the positive things in the problem that eventually integrate knowledge about the importance of positive thinking. Further events / issues that serve students in role play activities / role playing.Strategi Problem Based Learning aided Role Playing very interesting for students to understand the ability to think positively.

Abstract

This research aims to answer four main objectives, namely: (1) the design of the module following the stage of (a) purpose and use of chemistry module, (b) target to achieve the learning objectives of chemistry subject of redox and hydrocarbon, (c) reflection can be seen from cognitive score and questionnare responses provided to the learner. (2) stages of learning scenarios: preparation, conditioning the learners, introduction, individual work, assessment of the learner work, reflection and closing as well as assessment. (3) profile of chemistry learning module which consists of the cover, preface, able of contents, the standard of competence (SK), basic competence (KD), indicators, instructions for using the module, a map of the position of the module, concept map material, descriptions, prerequisites, the final objectives, prior knowlege checking, learning activities (consisting of material description, summary, assignments, and tests formative), evaluation, conclusion, references. (4) acquisition of the concept of redox and hydrocarbons can also be seen from the provision of the questions that serve to test extent to which learners can understand what has been obtained by the learners with the acquisition of early learners ability scores an average of 53,2 and the final ability with an average score of 79. In terms of process, the chemistry learning module could deliver positive results for learners.

Abstract

Salah satu kualitas lulusan tingkat sarjana yang diharapkan adalah memiliki kemampuan bahasa Inggris. Hal ini diyakini sebagai persiapan menyongsong era globalisasi dimana komunikasi antar Negara semakin mudah. Kemampuan berbahasa Inggris sebenarnya juga menjadi life-skills dan academic-skills yang akan mendukung pembangunan manusia Indonesia khususnya dalam bidang alih teknologi dan pertumbuhan ekonomi. Itulah yang diharapkan oleh UNTAN dengan menerapkan kebijakan TOEFL sebagai prasyarat ujian skripsi. TOEFL yang dimaksud di dalam penelitian ini adalah sebuah tes kemampuan bahasa Inggri yang mirip TOEFL (R) milik ETS.Data diambil dari hasil TOEFL mahasiswa angkatan 2007 dan kemudian dibandingkan hasil tes mereka setelah mereka belajar selama 5 tahun di UNTAN yakni hasil mereka di tahun 2011. Selain itu 10 mahasiswa dari beberapa fakutas diinterview untuk mengetahui pendapat mereka tentan kebijakan ini. Penelitian ini menemukan bahwa rata-rata mahasiswa mengalami kemunduran dalam penguasaan bahasa Inggris yang diindikasikan oleh menurunnya nilai rata-rata TOEFL mereka. Selain itu, penelitian ini juga menyingkap bahwa ternyata di Universitas ini tidak ada lingkungan yang memadai untuk berkembangnya kemampuan bahasa Inggris.

Abstract

To improve the students’ learning achievement, Mathematics teachers are demanded to help their students through the use of direct instruction in the teaching process. By implementating direct instruction, the teachers transform lessons directly to the students to solve their learning achievement problem of low yields due to the students’ learning capability in implementing various learning models. Many teachers give assignments to the students without being carefully checked. Feeling saturated in their learning activities, less attention and less accountability, the assignments instructed were not done by them as scientifically expected. Based on the identification of the problem, the researchers intended to resolve the students’ problem on their learning achievement by applying active learning methods; specifically, direct instruction.

Abstract

Penelitian ini menganalisis mengenai partisipasi masyarakat dalam kegiatan pemberdayaan masyarakat dalam hal ini adalah transfer teknologi hidroponik dari Tim Pelaksana IbM Universitas Tanjungpura kepada kader Posyandu Kenanga dan Wanita Karya di Kelurahan Tambelan Sampit Kota Pontianak.Metode penelitian yang dipergunakan adalah penelitian deskriptif (descriptive research), dengan teknik pengumpulan data di lapangan menggunakan wawancara dan dokumentasi. Data yang terkumpul dianalisis secara kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Peran serta kader posyandu dalam kegiatan IbM bercocok tanam sayuran secara hidroponik sangat baik terlihat dari kehadiran dalam kegiatan pelatihan dan praktek hidroponik serta dukungan dari pelaku pemberdayaan yaitu pengurus dan ketua RT. Modal fisik, modal manusia dan modal sosial yang dimiliki oleh kader Posyande Kenanga dan Wanita Karya dapat menjadi penggerak bagi masyarakat untuk melestarikan dan mengembangkan usaha bercocok tanam sayuran secara hidroponik kea rah komersial. Bagi kader Posyandu Kenanga dan Wanita Karya yang berencana untuk mengembangkan hidroponik dari skala rumahtangga menjadi skala komersil disarankan untuk membangun jejaring dalam penyediaan sarana produksi terutama rockwool serta pemasaran hasil antara lain dengan institusi pendidikan seperti Faperta Untan, sehingga kegiatan PKM yang didanai oleh DIPA Faperta Untan dapat diarahkan untuk mengembangkan jejaring usaha.
