Abstract

Meeting the needs of feed today is experiencing a difficult time due to the high price of feed raw materials, especially fish meal, so that the impact on the price of the ration. Depending on the main source of protein in fish meal will certainly cause the availability of fish meal to be increasingly limited. Therefore an alternative source of protein is needed to reduce the use of fish meal in feed. Utilization of fishery waste into feed material can provide important significance for fisheries production, one of which allows it to be used as an alternative feed material is catfish processing waste on catfish viscera. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of catfish viscera in the manufacture of feed ration so as to produce growth and survival of catfish (Clarias sp.). The experimental design used was a Completely Randomized Design  with 3 treatments and 3 replications with A treatment (25% fish meal + 75% catfish viscera silage), B (50% fish flour + 50% catfish viscera silage), and C (75% fish meal + 25% catfish viscera silage). The results of the study conducted, showed the highest relative growth velocity value (%) of test fish in treatment C (222.63%) compared to treatments A (120.35%) and B (164.72%), the value of the feed conversion ratio (RKP) in treatment C obtained results which is relatively low with a value of 1.09 compared to other treatments that is 1.74 in treatment and treatment B with a value of 1.38. There was no significant effect on the addition of catfish viscera to the feed on the survival of catfish, so that there were no significant differences between treatments. Water quality in this study still supports the growth of catfish seedlings that are maintained.

Abstract

The development of grouper aquaculture production in the waters of Teluk Ambon Dalam (TAD) has increased from year to year, both in the amount of production, aquaculture household and the area of cultivation land. This indicates that the community is increasingly reading the opportunities for grouper farming in Ambon Dalam Bay. Increased production of course must be followed by certainty of market availability, because the success or failure of a cultivation business is determined by market conditions. On this basis, the research entitled "Strategy of Grouper Cultivation Cultivation Business System of Floating Nets in Ambon Dalam Bay" was conducted. The subject of this research is the community of systema grouper fish farming floating net cages at the location of Teluk Ambon Dalam, Baguala District, Ambon City. The components of the research analyzed were the conditions of the grouper cultivation business which were analyzed using descriptive qualitative methods; the marketing system is analyzed using the marketing system analysis method; Business feasibility was analyzed using business feasibility analysis method and internal and external components were analyzed using the SWOT and TOWS methods. The results showed that the condition of Ambon Dalam Bay waters quality still supports the development of grouper cultivation activities. For domestic marketing of grouper fish in Ambon City, the marketing channels are producer-buyer / collector-consumer. From the marketing channels formed above, it can be said that, this marketing channel is included in the two-tier marketing channel. The results of the business feasibility analysis indicated that the grouper farming was feasible to continue. Formulated 15 strategies for developing marketing of grouper farming in the waters of Teluk Ambon Dalam (TAD).

Abstract

Use of sweet potato leaf extract to determine the blood glucose response of jelawat fish       (L. hoeveni, Blkr)  seeds maintained in the media. This study aims to determine the optimal concentration of sweet potato leaf extract to reduce the stress level of Jelawat fish (L. hoeveni, Blkr) seeds by measuring blood glucose. In this study, four treatments were used with three replications using a concentration of 2ml / L sweet potato leaf extract, 4ml / L extract concentration, 6ml / L extract concentration, and control. The results showed that the 2ml / L extract concentration was the best because it was proven that the fish blood glucose response at every 1st, 6th, 12th hour, 24th hour, 168th hour fish (L. hoeveni, Blkr)  seed blood glucose levels nettle nearly close to normal blood glucose levels in fish.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of giving Moringa oliefera L leaf meal through feed as an anti-bacterial to prevent infection with E.ictaluri bacteria in catfish (Pangasius hypopthalmus). This research was conducted from March 2020 to April 2020 at the Fish Health Laboratory, Freshwater Aquaculture Fisheries Center (BPBAT) Jambi. The research method used was a completely randomized design with five treatments and three replications. Catfish were fed for 14 days with treatment feed with each treatment (A. 5% / kg feed), (B. 10% / kg feed), (C. 15% / kg feed), (D. Commercial feed ) and (E. Commercial feed). and on the 16th day the fish were injected with the Edwarsiella ictaluri bacteria, and survival was observed from day 16 to day 26. The results showed that treatment of moringa leaf meal (C. 15% / kg of feed), could prevent bacterial infection E. ictaluri in catfish with the highest survival rate reaching 66.67%, fish growth of 5.78 grams / head, and feed conversion of 0.18% / kg of feed.

Abstract

Betok fish is very popular with the people because of the delicious and tasty taste of the meat, therefore this type of fish is quite potential for cultivation. (Muslim 2008) in (Anggara et al 2013). Most people who cultivate betok fish (A.testudineus, Bloch) do not understand their character or behavior, so that many farmers experience complaints in maintenance, especially in their growth and survival. As an alternative to the maintenance of Betok fish (A. testudineus, Bloch), the growth rates and viability of the Betok (A. testudineus, Bloch) fry were reared in a container using a shellter. The research design used was an environmental design RAL (completely randomized design) consisting of 4 (four) treatments and 3 (three) replications. The treatments were as follows: Treatment A: Betok fish seeds (A. testudineus, Bloch) without treatment (control), Treatment B: Betok fish seeds (A. testudineus, Bloch) were given a bamboo shellter ,, Treatment C; Betok fish (A. testudineusBloch) was given a coconut shell shellter, Treatment D: Betok fish (A.testudineusBloch) was given a paralon shellter. The results showed that betok (A. tetstudineus, Bloch) seeds were maintained using a shelter (Treatment C and B) resulted in better survival rates (99.35% & 98.07%) than treatments A and D (96.15% & 96.79%).
