Abstract

This study described the clinical supervision in learning civic education at Senior High School 1 Muara Pinang Empat Lawang Regency. The methode used in this study was descriptive and qualitative methode. the data were obtained from interview, observation and documentation. The collected data then analyzed with descriptive qualitative. The result of data reveal that clinical supervision in learning civic education at Senior High School 1 Muara Pinang Empat Lawang Regency has been successful and has a significant impact for improvement of learning civic education and for improving the competence of teachers of civic education subjects.

Abstract

This research described the principal personality competence in Senior High School 1 Ketahun. This research was designed with qualitative descriptive method. Subject of this research was the head master of  Senior High School 1 Ketahun. The data were collected by interviews, observations and documentation. Then the collected data analyzed with qualitative technique. The results of this study identifies that (1) the headmaster of Senior High School 1 Ketahun has the integrity of personality as a leader through the ability to find the right, the attitude of responsibility, cultivate trust, appointment, care, honest and consistent. (2) the principal has a desire in self-development through an understanding of the importance of life goals, initiative, loving ideas and experimenting, daring to innovate, optimistic and daring to learn a thing. (3) the principal has an open attitude in implementing the basic tasks and functions through its ability to deliver messages objectively, be content-oriented, and seek information. (4) the ability of the principal to control himself through his ability to regulate implementation, control the stimulus and be able to anticipate events. (5) the principal has the talent and interest in the position shown through his understanding of the principal's position. Finally, based on the results of the discussion above, the researcher suggests to the principal to more develop the indicator of self development especially in simple attitude and ethic while act.

Abstract

This study determined the efforts made by the principal in improving the professional competence of IPS Geography teacher at SMA Negeri 1 Lintang Kanan. This research uses descriptive qualitative approach. Data collection techniques are done through interviews, and documentation. Research subjects were Headmaster, Vice Principal, and Geography Teacher at SMA Negeri 1 Lintang Kanan. The results showed that: (1) Principal Strategy in improving the competence of Professional Teachers IPS Geography in the development of teaching materials has been interpreted well; (2) Principal Strategy in improving the professional competence of IPS Geography teacher in the use of teaching methods to examine the readiness of learning plan (RPP) consisting of effective weeks, annual program, semester program, syllabus, learning, assessment (KKM), as well as lesson plans made together with similar subject teachers; (3) Principal Strategy in improving the professional competence of IPS Teachers Geography in evaluating implementation learning by looking at readiness in performing task assignment, daily test, block, semester final repetition.

Abstract

The style or way, and the managerial ability of the principal in his capacity as a leader is crucial to success in improving teacher performance under his / her leadership. The purpose of this research is to obtain data about the influence of leadership style and principal managerial ability on teacher performance. Using a quantitative approach, questionnaire data collection techniques, data analysis techniques with quantitative analysis. The result indicates that leadership style independently gives effect to teacher performance and managerial ability of principal also influences independently of teacher performance, then jointly leadership style and managerial skill of principal have an effect on to teacher performance in primary school at right latitude. It is suggested that the principal can apply a better or varied leadership style and also improve his managerial leadership skills so that the desired goals can be achieved properly and maximally.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to describe existence of Islamic High School as institute of medium education institution in the perspective performance of the scientific and competitive. The method of this research is qualitative descriptive study. The subject of the this research were the Head of the Regional Office of The Religious Ministry of Bengkulu Province, principal of Public Islamic High School 2 Bengkulu City, vice principals, and teachers. The data was obtained with observation, documentation, and interview. Then the collected data analyzed by qualitative technique as proposed by Miles and Huberman that is data reduction, data presentation and conclusion. The results showed that the existence of Islamic High School viewed from the vision and mission, national education standard, SWOT, competitiveness, road map, and the role of Regional Office of Ministry of Religion open to the progress of science and technology and competition among other educational institutions equivalent. The conclusion of the research shows that the existence of Islamic High School not fully able to respond to the progress of Science and Technology and compete with other equivalent educational institutions, but should be a serious concern for the existence of Islamic schools can be maintained. Researchers suggest that all educators and education work more maximally in showing the existence of islamic high school in perspective of science and technology progress and competitiveness, so as to compete with other equivalent educational institutions.

Abstract

This research investigated 1) Headmaster instructional supervision program, 2) The implementation instructional supervision by head master and 3) The follow up of supervision results by head master. The research method used was qualitative method. The data obtained was analyzed descriptively qualitative. The headmaster of Junior High School 57 Bengkulu Utara has developed a supervisory program in the form of an annual program and supervision schedule. While the semester program supervision was not compiled. The conclusion of the research result was 1) the principal has prepared an annual supervision program consisting of background, legal basis, objectives, scope and schedule of supervision, as outlined in the form of annual program, 2) the principal used classroom visit techniques, teacher board meetings and personal coaching and In house Training. 3) the principal performed follow-up of supervision results in accordance with the found of the planning stages of learning and found in the classroom during supervision.

Abstract

This research determined and analyzed the relationship of clinical supervision, pedagogic competence of teachers with the performance of teachers in the learning process at junior high school in Pinang Raya subdistrict, North Bengkulu Regency. This research is a correlational research with quantitative approach, by using questionnaire which is distributed to 53 sample of teachers at SMPN se Pinang Raya Sub-district, North Bengkulu Regency. Data analyzed with correlation method to determine relationship between variables. The results showed that 1) there was a positive significant correlation on clinical supervision with teacher performance; 2) there was a positive significant correlation on pedagogic competence with teacher performance; 3) there was positive significant correlation on clinical supervision, pedagogic competence together with teacher performance. The conclusion states there is very strong relationship on clinical supervision, pedagogic competence with teacher performance at junior high school on Pinang Raya Subdistrict North Bengkulu Regency.

Abstract

The general research objective described how principal’s management in carrying out clinical supervision. While the specific purpose of this study is  (1) to describe how the principal as a supervisor in conducting professional teacher guidance , (2) to describe collegial relations between the principal as a supervisor and the teacher in clinical supervision, (3) to describe the principal way of supervisor and the teacher solve problems together, (4) to describe how to solve the problems faced by teachers. This research use descriptive qualitative method. Subject of the research that is principal, representative of the curriculum field and subject teachers. The result of research that principal’s management in carrying out clinical supervision has been running in accordance with existing procedures. As for the conclusion of this research is (1) the principal as a supervisor before conducting supervision activities has provided guidance, (2) the implementation of clinical supervision by the principal is clone by interacting with the teacher and creating collegial relationships, (3) the principal as a supervisor to be able to solve the problems faced by teachers , (4) the solution to the problem experienced by teacher is to create a cooperative relationship with the teacher in all activities in school.

Abstract

This study found out influence of work motivation and teacher certificate in SMP Negeri 2 Tebing Tinggi Kabupaten Empat Lawang. There are three hypothesis in this research. First, there are influence between work motivation and teachers work. Second, there are influence between teacher certificate and teachers work. Third, there are influence together from work motivation and teacher to teachers work. The instrument that used in this research is Skala Likert construct from many kinds of theory, and it has been formed in variable operational. To know the instrument validity used validity test and reliability test. The implementation in order to motivated all the teachers in SMP Negeri 2 Tebing Tinggi Kabupaten Empat Lawang to standard their work motivation and certificate with the result that they can aware to always try their best to get their aim.

Abstract

This study improved the competence of teachers in the implementation of learning at Elementary School 11 South Bengkulu. Classroom action researchwas used as the method in reseacrh, and the data was collected by interview, observation, and documentation. The result showed that of the study indicate there is very high increase in teacher competence and competence.
