Abstract

This research is based on a phenomenon seen in educational institutions at elementary, middle school, high school and even college levels, namely not being able to read the Al-Qur’an properly and correctly. This research is descriptive quantitative research with a correlation design that aims to find out how big the relationship is between literacy habits and the use of Al-Qur’an learning methods on students' ability to read the Al-Qur’an. The data analysis method is carried out using multiple linear regression analysis through the classic assumption test which consists of six tests on secondary data. The results of the research showed that the significance obtained was 0.000 so it was less than 0.05 (Sig.<0.05) so it was concluded that the implementation of Al-Qur’an literacy habits had a significant influence on the ability to read the Al-Al-Qur’an, while the significance of the variable secondly (using the Al-Qur’an learning method) it was found that the significance value was 0.325 so it was less than 0.05 (Sig.>0.05) so there was no significant influence on the ability to read the Al-Qur’an.

Abstract

The phenomenon of social and technological development has brought significant changes in the world of education, particularly in teaching practices. However, in Tanzania, the adoption of innovative teaching methods in secondary schools is still limited. This study aims to explore teachers' awareness of innovative teaching methods and their application in the context of secondary education in Morogoro, Tanzania. The research approach used is qualitative, aimed at understanding the patterns of innovative method usage and the factors influencing them. The research results show that most teachers have theoretical awareness of innovative teaching methods, such as blended learning and mobile learning, but their implementation is still low due to infrastructure and training limitations. Students acknowledge that these methods enhance engagement and flexibility in learning, although their implementation is not yet uniform across all schools. Thus, it can be concluded that there is an urgency for the professional development of teachers through continuous training and the provision of adequate infrastructure to support the implementation of innovative teaching methods.

Abstract

This study aims to identify effective forms of parental involvement in fostering teachers' emotional well-being and to explore its implications for educational policy. The research employs a qualitative approach with a case study method conducted at elementary schools at Lahore. Data collection techniques include in-depth interviews, participatory observations, and document analysis. The findings indicate that emotional support in parental involvement, contributions of parental involvement to enhancing teachers' job satisfaction, and parental participation in school activities as a support for teachers' emotional well-being play crucial roles in supporting teachers' emotional welfare. Recognition and appreciation of parental involvement were also found to be significant motivational factors. This research contributes by reinforcing the understanding of the importance of synergy between schools, parents, and the community in creating a positive and supportive learning environment. However, the study is limited to a single location and does not account for broader variations in gender and age. Therefore, further research is needed to obtain a more comprehensive perspective and to support more targeted educational policy-making.

Abstract

This research aims to understand the model of service quality based on Islamic values in Indonesia and Tunisia. The study is motivated by a lack of awareness regarding the importance of Islamic values in service, conflicts in values and cultures, insufficient resources and support, resistance from internal parties, consumer ignorance, differences in the interpretation of Islamic values, and the influence of political and economic contexts. The research employs a qualitative approach with a multisite design. To gather data in both countries, the researcher uses participant observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. The collected data is analyzed using Miles, Huberman, and Saldana's data analysis techniques. The analysis shows that interpersonal interaction, empathy, and service reliability are essential in shaping students’ perceptions of service quality. The study identifies each university's challenges and strengths in providing quality service and highlights cultural differences that influence service experiences. The findings provide insight into how university administrators can improve service quality, emphasising the importance of listening to students’ voices and adapting service practices to needs.

Abstract

This study aims to improve the quality of learning in madrasahs through the application of differentiated learning strategies. Differentiated learning is an approach that adapts teaching methods to the needs, interests, and learning styles of each student. This study is based on the application of strategies in madrasah which are expected to optimize the potential of diverse students and improve overall learning outcomes. This study uses a qualitative case study approach. Data collection techniques are carried out by means of interviews, observations and documentation. The data analysis technique for this study was carried out through three stages, namely data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of the study indicate that monitoring and feedback in differentiated learning strategies in madrasahs are very important to improve the quality of learning. Routine monitoring by teachers and constructive feedback help students understand the material better. Aspects such as frequency of monitoring, quality of feedback, student participation, and parental involvement contribute to the effectiveness of the strategy, creating an inclusive learning environment for the development of each student. The findings are expected to contribute to the application of differentiated learning strategies which are a significant step in efforts to improve the quality of education in madrasah.

Abstract

This study aims to investigate how artificial intelligence (AI) drives educational innovation by enabling human-machine partnerships in AI-based learning environments. This study addresses a critical gap in the current literature, specifically the lack of empirical understanding of how AI transforms pedagogical strategies and enhances student engagement in faith-based educational institutions. Using a qualitative case study approach, this study was conducted in a Madrasah that has integrated AI technology into its teaching practices. Data were collected through semi-structured interviews, participant observation, and document analysis. Findings reveal that AI enables more personalized and data-driven teaching strategies by analyzing students’ learning patterns in real time. In addition, AI-powered teaching tools provide timely feedback and adaptive guidance, which accelerates students’ understanding processes. The study concludes that AI integration not only improves the quality of teaching and learning but also creates more inclusive and flexible learning spaces. Implications highlight the need for educational institutions to invest in teacher training and digital infrastructure to support sustainable and ethical human-machine partnerships in future learning systems.

Abstract

The phenomenon that many young learners continue to underperform due to limited home-based support and weak parental involvement though. This study investigates the critical features of effective Interactive Mathematics Homework (IMH) as a strategy to enhance early-grade pupils’ mathematics skills and foster meaningful parental engagement. Employing a qualitative case study design, data were collected through Focused Group Interviews (FGIs) with 63 parents and semi-structured interviews with 21 teachers and 10 head teachers across primary schools in Ukerewe District, Tanzania. Thematic analysis revealed four key characteristics of effective IMH, such ad a manageable number of questions, the inclusion of guided instructions, consistent feedback mechanisms, and alignment with the school curriculum. These elements were found to influence both the usability of the homework for families and its instructional value. The findings suggest that well-designed IMH can bridge the home–school gap in early mathematics education, encouraging collaborative efforts between teachers and parents. The study recommends integrating IMH into early-grade teaching practices to improve pupil outcomes and strengthen family-school partnerships in foundational mathematics learning.

Abstract

This study explores the literary skills of elementary school students in Surakarta, that focusing on factors influencing their development. Employing a descriptive qualitative method, the study investigates the experiences and perspectives of university students participating in the Kampus Mengajar program in Soloraya, spanning the Kampus Mengajar 3 to Kampus Mengajar 7 over two years with a total of 21 respondents. The data was collected through an open-ended survey using Google Forms, supplemented by field supervisor lecturer observations and analyses of students' reports. The study's findings show four major issues that students with reading difficulties face: a lack of parental education prioritization, poor student motivation and enthusiasm, and the presence of specific educational requirements. Furthermore, teachers use a variety of tactics to address these reading issues, such as reading aloud, playing interactive games, creating specific educational modules, and offering tailored reading support. In addition, parental attitudes about their children's literacy challenges are marked by denial of their children's literacy problems and participation in home-based reading activities. The study also identifies dyslexia indicators and emphasizes the importance of inclusive education solutions for kids who struggle with reading.

Abstract

Public speaking anxiety (PSA) is one of the most common psychological barriers faced by Postgraduate students in Nigeria. Public communication skills are quite urgent in the academic and professional world. However, students still experience anxiety when conveying ideas or research results in open forums. The results of the study showed that self-esteem affects the level of anxiety. This study examines the relationship between self-esteem and public speaking anxiety among Postgraduate students at Al-Hikmah University, Ilorin. This study used a descriptive correlational survey design with a sample size of 96 students. Data were analyzed using the Pearson Product-Moment correlation technique. The results showed that 56.3% of respondents experienced low levels of anxiety, 29.2% moderate, and 14.6% high. Meanwhile, the results of the correlation analysis showed a weak negative relationship between self-esteem and public speaking anxiety (r = -0.109; p = 0.290). Based on these findings, it can be concluded that self-esteem is not the primary predictor of public speaking anxiety. Therefore, broader interventions such as public speaking training and counseling services are needed to help students with high levels of anxiety.

Abstract

Leadership plays a pivotal role in sustaining social cohesion within pesantren. The authority of kyai is not only rooted in personal qualities but also shaped by cultural legitimacy, genealogical heritage, and symbolic charisma that extend influence beyond educational boundaries into socio-political spheres. This study focuses on the role of the kyai as the highest authority holder who is not only responsible for the direction of education. Employing a qualitative approach, the study was conducted in two prominent pesantren in East Java. Data were collected through participant observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. Findings reveal that kyai leadership builds trust through the synergy of economic independence, alumni-based social networks, preservation of cultural traditions, and symbolic authority manifested in rituals, rhetoric, and institutional symbols. The study concludes that public trust is not an instant achievement but a socially constructed process rooted in sustained moral conduct, adaptive leadership, and cultural continuity. This research contributes to the sociology of Islamic education by demonstrating how kyai transform personal authority into institutional legitimacy through interdependent modalities.
