Abstract

Libraries are service units with high storage complexity as evidenced by more data being stored for each year. The data that is not integrated makes the complex problem because every year the process that is carried out continues to increase, especially for the circulation of loans. As the number of books increases, the circulation of borrowing increases every year. On the other hand, the library must know exactly what collection of books they have and the transactions it has made. A lot of data is owned by the library cannot be utilized optimally, so that the managerial is unable to make full use of the data. In University scale libraries, this problem increases when the data is not fully integrated. In this study, the implementation of a star schema was carried out to solve problems related to data integration using a nine-step methodology, which includes selection, item selection, process dimensions, fact selection, fact storage, ensuring dimension tables, selecting database duration, changing dimensions, determining priorities, and query models. The results of this study indicate that the star schema can be implemented in the case of libraries, data warehouses and OLAP to support decision making for adding books, and produced 3 dimensions of the 4 grains found.

Abstract

Today, mobile devices are very popular with the public and the android operating system become the most famous mobile phone in the world because of its sophistication and efficiency to be everywhere. One feature that is often used in Android is a game. Learning by the method of reading through a book directly usually causes boredom for a reader while studying. Because of the identical content of the book, it usually contains only ordinary writing and pictures, so that a reader tends to get bored and lazy to learn more. Therefore, the author makes an adventure game that combines games and education, as a medium for learning and playing that is interesting. Game level consists of three levels where each level is given questions about accounting learning with different levels of difficulty. Making this game application is intended for Vocational High School students majoring in Accounting as well as for the general public to increase knowledge about accounting. This game was created using the Construct2 application based on HTML5 and Adobe Photoshop. Based on the results of research and submission of the questionnaire that the author did, it was found that the percentage of answers to the questions of 10 respondents stated that this game can increase knowledge about accounting, and overcome boredom in learning accounting.

Abstract

Balinese ornament carving are a cultural heritage that is owned by especially the Balinese people. However, especially Balinese people only know the shape of the carving without knowing the name and characteristics of the Balinese traditional carving ornaments. Based on these problems, the researchers have a solution to research about Balinese Ornament Carving Identification by utilizing digital image processing technology. In this study uses Gabor Filter as a feature extraction from the carved image that used and Multilayer Perceptron as a classifier. There are 18 (eighteen) classes of Balinese carving ornaments use in this study with a total of dataset is 268 (two hundred and sixty eight). The purpose of this study was to determine the level of identification  accuracy  of Balinese ornament carving with Multilayer Perceptron method. In the implementation using digital image processing technic with Multilayer Perceptron method was based on backpropagation learning algorithm with 10560 neuron input layers, 50 neuron hidden layers, and 18 neuron output layers as classifier obtained the accuracy for testing is 43%. Classification testing based on k-fold cross validation with K=5 results in average accuracy of 41.14% with optimum accuracy of 56% and accuracy testing with Confusion Matrix obtained the accuracy 43.3%, sensitivity 42.68% and specificity 96.87%.

Abstract

Determination of rainfall is important to determine the intensity of rain that occurs in an area. Rain intensity that is too high will certainly have a bad impact. Forecasting or prediction techniques are used to determine the likelihood of intensity occurring in the following year. However, rainfall data are continuous numerical data. Measurement of accuracy becomes more difficult if the data type is like that. So, this study tests the accuracy of rainfall forecasting in the city of Denpasar from a different perspective. This test combines the Z-score method and the Fuzzy set theory to normalize and classify rainfall data. This combination determines the degree of rainfall membership divided into Upper, Middle, and Lower levels. Based on the results of rainfall accuracy testing starting in 2012-2016 obtained an average value of accuracy of 85% with training data that is data in 2007-2015. The normalization process greatly affects the value of the training data.

Abstract

Student satisfaction towards services is a priority for each tertiary institution to improve the quality that is demanded by students. To improve the quality of education, universities must provide services provided to students. Dehasen University (Unified) Bengkulu promised to improve the quality standards of education and continue to improve and improve dissatisfaction in meeting student expectations. This is done to improve the quality standards of education and meet student expectations related to services that are the rights of students. By understanding the level of satisfaction of students, universities can improve performance in carrying out their duties and take responsibility for the quality of education, thus increasing the quality of services that can be improved. This study uses Bayes study, which is a classification method using probability and statistical methods based on the Bayes theorem. The aim is to implement Bayes to support student satisfaction with universities that support the following fields: Student Affairs, Library, Academic and Student Administration Bureau (BAAK), Facilities and infrastructure and finance. The results of this method produce Administrative and Academic Bureau services and financial services obtain Very Good satisfaction levels with a total service value of 12,183 with an excellent threshold value of 12,042 and a total service value of 9,413 with an excellent threshold value of 9,375. And the level of student satisfaction with the level of service is good, because the total value of results is 49,769 while the threshold is very good is 50,001 this means the total results below the threshold value is very good.

Abstract

Requirements elicitation is activities aimed at finding the needs of a system through communication with system users. The purpose of requirements elicitation is to find out what problems have been encountered. User persona is a fictional representation of the ideal user. The software developer will begin the design process by conducting user research, establishing communication with the target user and identifying exactly what they need with the product to be made. Personas are generally based on these users and combine the needs, goals, and behavior patterns observed from the target audience. This study aims to determine information systems related to the characteristics and needs of users of the software, so that the data generated in the form of qualitative data from prospective users. By using the hypotheses that are made, which will later be analyzed and used as a basis for developing projects. The results of this study are information in accordance with user needs that will be implemented using a use case and software prototype.

Abstract

Dryness of the skin on the face makes it uncomfortable, one treatment to avoid dryness of the facial skin is to use facial creams that contain ceramide. the process of selecting the best face cream that contains ceramide takes a long and difficult time. This process requires precision and proper judgment. In this study the TOPSIS method is used to solve the problem, so that the process of selecting facial creams can be done quickly and precisely. the test results using the TOPSIS method, the results obtained that the selection of face cream that contains the best ceramide based on three price criteria, packaging and composition is the P1 brand code with a preference value (vi) of 0.725 is ranked 1st for the assessment of each criterion K1 = 21.07, K2 = 8.62 and K3 = 9.71. This means that the P1 brand code has the highest value of other face cream products with the lowest price rating of other products namely rating 5 (21.07), the packaging is quite good with a rating of 3 (8.62) and the composition is quite a lot with a value of 3 (9, 71).

Abstract

Human-Computer Interaction (HCI) is a scientific field to determine user characteristics or so-called persona. HCI describes a system that must be easy to use, provides security to users, easy to learn and has usability. The purpose of the study was conducted to obtain various perspectives on the use of software in the InfoKHS University of Muhammadiyah Malang (UMM) academic system according to user characteristics so that the design of software requirements is expected to be representative of various types of users. The HCI assessment is carried out in software development (SD) focusing on the elicitation of needs. Focus on using user methods. As an analysis of user needs. Qualitative data were analyzed based on country hypotheses obtained for the first time in this research phase. In this study, a User Persona was done with an iterative method to ensure each phase was validated. The results show that iterations are needed several times to get the use of detailed cases diagram of each user's needs.

Abstract

Bali is one of the small islands in Indonesia that known as an international and national tourists destination. Many of Information related to tourist destinations in Bali is scattered and fragmented available on the Internet. This causes many of the potential tourists who want to find information related to tourist destinations in Bali to have to visit one site to another to aggregate the information. Besides, much of the information available on the Internet is human-readable but not for computer applications, and this becomes a challenge for computer applications to aggregate existing information. This study aims to develop an ontology model in the domain of Bali's tourism destinations by adopting the kulkul knowledge framework (Tri Hita Karana and Kala Patra Village) in which this ontology as a backbone of the semantic web can be utilised by computer-based applications to manipulate existing information for user needs. In this study, initial testing is done regarding the proposed ontological model by providing a set of questions that are commonly used by users when accessing information about tourism destination. So, it is expected that the propose ontology model will be able to provide information on tourism in Bali systematically.

Abstract

Education and training is an obligation for a civil servant (PNS) to develop their performance capabilities in the agency they work for. There are several training courses that civil servants can participate in, such as leadership, functional training, and technical training. However, not all employees can participate in the training, because there are special requirements in order to participate in the training. The purpose of this study is to help provide decision recommendations for employees who will conduct training. The method used for the calculation of the DSS is Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP). Where this decision support model will describe a multi-factor or multi-criteria complex problem into a hierarchy. Then each employee is given the weight of his own assessment of the employee who will conduct the training. Meanwhile, the system development method used is a prototype. The results of this study are in the form of a decision support system, which can facilitate the decision-making process, and can provide recommendations regarding employees who will become training participants.
