Abstract

This research is a descriptive study that aims to describe and analyze the response of students in science learning model with PIC (Pairs, Investigation and Communication). This assessment was made as a continuation of the research that has been conducted in August - November 2016. Respondents were 30 students of class VIII F SMP Negeri 5 Situbondo. Data collection techniques used by questionnaire (questionnaire) and unstructured interview. The results of the data obtained and analyzed by quantitative descriptive in terms of percentage with the help of Excel for Windows. Percentage data obtained were analyzed by adjusting the existing categories. The results showed that all the aspects contained in the student questionnaire responses showed 85% with very good category. It show that learning Pairs, Investigation and Communication (PIC) received a positive response from students. Based on the results of interviews on a number of students, they are more willing to express an opinion, easier to carry out an investigation / inquiry and easier to understand the concept of learning. Abstract

Bernalar merupakan kemampuan yang sangat diperlukan peserta didik dalam pembelajaran fisika karena berhubungan dengan hasil belajar yang dicapai. Kemampuan bernalar merupakan salah satu keterampilan penting yang diperlukan di abad ke-21 sebagai bekal dalam menghadapi tantangan global. Salah satu kemampuan penalaran yang menjadi tema penelitian terbaru adalah kemampuan bernalar berbasis bukti dengan salah satu keterampilannya dikenal sebagai scientific explanation. Kemampuan scientific explanation berupa tanggapan tertulis atau lisan terhadap pertanyaan yang mengharuskan peserta didik untuk menganalisis data dan menafsirkan data berkenaan dengan pengetahuan ilmiah. Kemampuan ini menggabungkan sejumlah keterampilan yang kompleks termasuk kemampuan untuk mengartikulasikan sebuah teori, untuk memahami jenis bukti yang dapat mendukung atau bertentangan dengan teori untuk menjelaskan fenomena yang sama. Peserta didik yang memiliki kemampuan scientific explanation yang baik dapat memperoleh hasil belajar yang baik. Dengan melihat pentingnya kemampuan scientific explanation dalam pembelajaran sains, termasuk fisika, dalam artikel diuraikan kajian tentang kemampuan scientific explanation dan implementasi pembelajaran yang terkait dengan kemampuan tersebut. Abstract

The purpose of this research was how to know the student's response to mnemonics module with RWP methode in biology leraning in vocational school of healt analyse. Data was taken by questionnaire of student's response that gave after the leraning process with RWP methode end. Data analyse was used by percentage. The first test was took by 34 studensts in XID SMK Analis Kesehatan Jember and the second test was took by 29 students in XIA SMK Analis Kesehatan Jember. The result show that the student's response to mnemonics module with RWP methode in biology leraning in vocational school of healt analyse that the first test had an average for validity of presentation is 96,7%, validity of graphic is 95,5% and validity of mnemonicsis 94,1%. in the second test had an average for validity of presentation is 91,4%, validity of graphic is 91,76% and validity of mnemonicsis 96,6%. Somethings that make the student give the good response to mnemonics module with RWP methode was mnemonics using very familiar, increasing learning motivation, students had opportunity to cooperation in community, they had something new in learning and easy to remember lesson. Abstract

The aim of the study is to describe the validity of learning model of batu obsidianko for learning science of junior high school. The kind of research in descriptive. Subject of the study is student class VIII SMPN 2 Genteng odd semester 2016-2017 academic year. Technique to collect the data is questionair sheet for meaning validity of the model. Data is analized descriptively by using percentage. Finding of the research is the score validity of the model is 82,57% in average of expert validators. The average validity of user (teachers) is 83,33%. Both of the validators give score validity in very valid category. In conclussion the model of batu obsidianko is very valid for learning of science students class VIII SMPN 2 Genteng Banyuwangi. Keywords: science learning, learning model, validity of learning model

Abstract

This article is the result of development research entitled of PEIK learning model for science learning in junior high school. The objective of this research is produce a learning model that valid, practice, and effective for science lesson in junior high school. The steps of this research using Borg and Gall design. The subject of this research is the students of class VIIA SMP Darul Hikmah Jember. Data collection techniques are tests and observations. Data analysis technique is descriptive qualitative and quantitative. The development research was conducted through 2 cycle, ie limited test (9 students) and class test (1 class). The results showed the average score of validity of the model (3 experts and 3 users) was 87.21 (valid category). Implementation model in the limited test obtained score 11 (good category) and class test obtained score 11 (good category). The effectiveness of the model in the limited test obtained the average score of student activity and student learning outcomes from cycle 1 to cycle 3 are (69.95%; 77.78%; 80.95%) and (0.30; 0.32; 0.58). The average score of student activity and student learning outcomes from cycle 1 to cycle 2 are (80.95%; 87.68%) and (0.70; 0.76). The conclusions of this research are PEIK model (Prediction, Experiment, Inference, Communication) valid, practical and effective for science learning. Abstract

This research is a research of development of QODE learning model (Questioning, organizing, Doing, and Evaluating) to study the effectiveness of QODE learning model for science lesson in junior high school. This research uses Action research model. The subject of this research is the students of SMP class VII in SMP Negeri 1 Dringu. Data collection technique used is a test of pretest and postes.yang analyzed by technique of normalized gain data analysis. The result of this research is to test the effectiveness of QODE learning model by using Normalized gain (g) data on student learning outcomes in cycle 1 that is -0.57 with low category and in cycle 2 (g) 0.50 with medium category. So the QODE learning model is effective in improving learning outcomes in each science lesson in low and medium category. Keywords: QODE learning model, effectiveness, science lesson

Abstract

This article discusses about the remedial of several science misconceptions for students in Junior High School with PPE model (Peer Tutoring, Presentation, Evaluation). PPE model is the result of development model for remedial misconception from several science concepts. The purpose of this research are to describe several science misconceptions of students in Junior High School and describe the effectiveness of PPE model for overcome the students’ misconception. The research was conducted to 31 students of SMP 1 Kencong, Jember Regency, who experience misconception from several science concepts. The tecnique used to collect data are test and interview. The data analysis technique is descriptive qualitative.The result of the research shows that misconception for several concepts that happened to students are work concept (if a body have a force, it is also has work otomatically), kinetic energy concept ( if the speed of body increased three times, so the Ek becomes three times too, it is wrong ), on the concept of potential energy ( in freely falling bodies Ek = 0 and Ep windened, when the object approaches the ground. The effectiveness of the model to overcome the students’ misconception showed by students’ positive response to the implementation of remedial learning with the model and decrease the number of students who have misconception by 17% in IXA class and 13,8% in IXB class, for average of each concept. Abstract

IPA brochures integrated as teaching SMP materials in terms of aspects grafika. The purpose of the study is to describe grafika (keproporsionalan font size, variety and ease of letters, the attractiveness of the color and placement of the layout) on the integrated IPA brochures teaching materials. This paper is the result of a study conducted through literature review and relevant literature for later in the descriptive analysis so as to obtain the appropriate standard grafika in developing an Integrated IPA teaching materials. From the results of the study it can be concluded that grafika includes keproporsionalan font size used should be balanced between the elements of the layout (title, author, illustrations, logos, etc.) and the size of the layout elements (typography, illustrations and supporting elements such as squares, circles and other decorative elements ) in proportion to the size of the teaching materials. Variations and Ease of letters used to read that is using two types of letters to be more communicative in conveying the information submitted. The attractiveness and harmony of the colors used must conform to the shape, color and size of the object so as to avoid any interpretation or understanding of learners. Abstract

Retention is one of the important factors of a lesson. Retention or memory can be trained to students one using worksheet based on mind mapping. The purpose of this study to determined the students strength of retention after using worksheet based on mind mapping in momentum and impulse matter for students grade X senior high school. Before worksheet based on mind mapping is used in the learning process it must go through a validation process. Worksheet based on mind mapping categorized is valid that worksheet based on mind mapping can be used. The high degree of retention determined by compared the result of second posttest and first posstest. Based on data obtained, worksheet based on mind mapping in momentum and impulse matter for students grade X senior high school student retention results obtained 85.5%, which means retention of students categorized as high.
