Abstract

Students who are not-active will affect the number of students who graduate on time. Prevention of not-active students can be done by predicting student performance. The study was conducted by comparing the KNN, SVM, and Decision Tree algorithms to obtain the best predictive model. The model making process was carried out by the following steps: data collecting, pre-processing, model building, comparison of models, and evaluation. The results show that the SVM algorithm has the best accuracy in predicting with a precision value of 95%. The Decision Tree algorithm has a prediction accuracy of 93% and the KNN algorithm has a prediction accuracy value of 92%.

Abstract

This study discusses the effect of dividend on option pricing by using a binomial method. It also investigated the initial stock value, number of steps, and strike price effects on the behavior of options pricing. From several simulations conducted, it was found that the values of call options with discrete dividend are greater than the continuous dividend. While on the put option, the values of the put options with a continuous dividend are greater than the discrete dividend.

Abstract

A real Bott manifold (RBM) is obtained as the orbit space of the n-torus T^n by a free action of an elementary abelian 2-group ZZ_2^n. This paper deals with the classification of some particular types of RBMs of dimension n, so that we know the number of diffeomorphism classes in such RBMs.

Abstract

Tuberculosis is an infectious disease caused by Mycobacterium tuberculosis. Tuberculosis that fails treatment will develop into multidrug-resistant tuberculosis. Research on the TB epidemic continues, particularly in the field of applied mathematics with modeling. In this study, we analyzed a suitable strategy in controlling the development of susceptible individuals to active tuberculosis and even multidrug-resistant tuberculosis. In this work, local stability analysis was carried out around the equilibrium point. Also, to see the most influential parameters in the epidemic, a sensitivity analysis was performed on basic reproductive factors. Besides, the final work was to do numerical simulations with some cases, so that the model could describe the disease's phenomena and characteristics.

Abstract

A partially ordered group (po-group) is said to be a generalised lattice ordered group (gl-group) if the underlying poset is a generalised lattice. This paper is a study of some properties of finite subsets of a generalised lattice ordered group (gl-group). Finally obtained a lattice ordered group (l-group) from the given interally closed gl-group and concluded that every integrally closed gl-group is distributive.

Abstract

In this paper, we work on the analysis of dynamical change on stock price during Covid-19 pandemic using nonlinear deterministic motion equation. The model is given by the second-order differential equation with constant coefficient over time with some consideration under stock market structure. This coefficient shows the rate of change of stock price throughout Covid-19. Thus, the Least Square estimator is derived to determine the constant factor. Further, we conduct the Multi layered Neural Network algorithm to predict the future stock price. To provide accurate forecasting results, the algorithm used in this paper has to be able to recognize stock price data pattern which has dynamic characteristics. Multi-layered Neural Network solve the data with dynamic characteristics by using more than one hidden layer. The input layers of this network are not directly connected to the output layers of the network. Therefore, this algorithm is expected to provide accurate forecasting results. We use the Jakarta Composite Stock Price Index (IHSG) and Waskita Karya Company stock price's data for the subject of observation.

Abstract

The number of companies in the industry, as well as the current economic conditions, have created intense competition between companies. One of the important activities of a company is distributing goods from a warehouse to several agents so that the distribution of goods can be done easily and quickly. National Pure Milk Company is based in Salatiga. There are various flavors of pure milk stored in the form of a cup and a pack that will be distributed to each destination. Each cup and pack has data in the form of mass, volume, destination (distance between the destination location and the warehouse location), and the time when it must be dropped. All items of pure milk will be delivered by 4 truck vehicles with different types. Each vehicle has a mass capacity, volume capacity, mileage capacity, trip duration capacity, and trip number capacity. All the data of the pure milk that distributed must not run over the capacity of the vehicle. In this research, Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO) Algorithm can be modified into the discrete PSO Algorithm to determine the shortest distance of the route and Genetic Algorithms can be modified to determine the exact composition of goods on each vehicle. The optimization problem is limited by the condition that each item is delivered at the same time interval.
