Abstract

Higher Education Employees, especially Educational Personnel, are one of the most valuable human resource assets and have a vital role as a driving force for activities in Higher Education. One of the things that will improve their performance is seeing their engagement work. For this reason, this study was prepared with the aim of analyzing the relationship between employee self-efficacy and work involvement through organizational support as a mediator variable at one university in Surabaya. The sample used in this study were 212 employees at one university in Surabaya. The data analysis method used path analysis through Jeffrey's Amazing Statistics Program (JASP) software version 0.14.1.0. Through the research conducted, it is known that there is a significant positive relationship between self-efficacy and work involvement. The results of the data analysis of the correlation between self-efficacy and work involvement through organizational support as a mediator variable, obtained an estimated value = 0.012, coefficient z = 3.711 (z> 1.96) at p = 0.001 (p < 0.05). This shows that there is a relationship between self-efficacy and work involvement through organizational support as a significant mediator variable. Therefore, it can be concluded that there is a relationship between self-efficacy and work involvement through organizational support as a mediator variable for employees of one of the universities in Surabaya.

Abstract

Desember 2019 infeksi virus jenis baru muncul di Wuhan, China. Sifat virus yang tidak diketahui telah menyebabkan tingkat kematian yang tinggi di seluruh dunia. Dunia saat ini sedang berlomba untuk mengembangkan vaksin untuk covid-19. Munculnya vaksin seperti ini yang sangat cepat belum pernah terjadi sebelumnya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji hubungan antara pengetahuan tentang vaksinasi dan kepercayaan terhadap vaksinasi dengan sikap terhadap vaksinasi covid-19 pada masyarakat Surabaya. Sampel dalam penelitian ini sebanyak 348 responden dengan menentukan kriteria tertentu. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan skala pengetahuan tentang vaksinasi, kepercayaan terhadap vaksinasi, dan sikap terhadap vaksinasi covid-19 pada masyarakat Surabaya. Hasil analisis regresi berganda ditemukan ada hubungan antara pengetahuan tentang vaksinasi dan kepercayaan terhadap vaksinasi dengan sikap terhadap vaksinasi covid-19 pada masyarakat Surabaya. (F = 63,382; p < 0,01). Ditemukan secara parsial pengetahuan tentang vaksinasi berkorelasi dengan sikap terhadap vaksinasi covid-19 pada masyarakat Surabaya (t = 1,815; p < 0,05), dan ditemukan ada hubungan antara kepercayaan terhadap vaksinasi dengan sikap terhadap vaksinasi covid-19 pada masyarakat Surabaya (t = 11,059; p < 0,01).

Abstract

Self-efficacy describes a person's confidence in his skills and ability to manage execution and regulate performance in certain areas. Several research results show that self-efficacy is positively related to career decision making. This study aims to analyse changes in self-efficacy in career decision making after career planning training. The subjects of this study were 26 high school students of class XII who were following tutoring. This research is experimental research by conducting pre-test and post-test training. The analysis was conducted by comparing the mean or average value of self-efficacy in making career decisions before and after career planning training. The training module was also assessed by three professional judgments related to the material, presentation, language, and training design. Based on the assessments of three professional judgments, the research module was good in terms of material (75%), presentation (91.7%), language (83.3%), and training design (83.3%). The mean value on the pre-test (33.35) is lower than the mean value on the post-test (39.91). Therefore, it can be concluded that career planning training can improve self-efficacy in making career decisions.

Abstract

The objective of this study was to determine the direct effects of job embeddedness on turnover intention. The sample used was 253 Generation Y employees in Indonesia with working period of more than 9 months. The sampling technique used in this study was non-probability sampling. This study uses a Turnover Intention Scale (TIS-6) developed by Roodt (2004) with a reliability of 0,076 and Job Embeddedness Scale developed by Mitchel, et. al (2001) with reliability of 0,867. Data analysis uses Partial Least Square method with the help of Smart-PLS 3.0. software. The results of this study indicate that job embeddedness has a negative and significant direct effect on turnover intention.

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui adanya pengaruh antara komitmen organisasi terhadap whistleblowing intention pada Aparatur Sipil Negara. Penelitian ini menggunakan penentuan sampel dengan cara accidental sampling yang diikuti dengan metode snowball. Penelitian ini menggunakan skala whistleblowing intention yang dikembangkan berdasarkan teori dari Azjen (2005) dan skala Organization Commitment Survey (OCS) yang dikembangkan oleh Allen & Meyer (1991). Penelitian ini meggunakan metode analisis Partial Least Square. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa komitmen organisasi memiliki pengaruh positif yang signifikan terhadap whistleblowing intention.

Abstract

This study aims to find out more about the meaning of life of individual employees in the company who have been sentenced to cancer. Cancer comes from the Greek word karkinos, which means coral, which is a general term for hundreds of different malignant tumors. Cancer is also a term used for diseases in which abnormal cells divide without control and are able to invade other tissues. This research is qualitative research using phenomenological methods. The results of this study say that the meaning of life in this study has something to do with work motivation. Participant's work motivation is to fulfill Maslow's hierarchy of needs. Besides that, it also works as a coping strategy for participants so that they are not stressed about the disease they are suffering from, this is called emotion focused coping. This is what makes the participants keep working even though they have terminal cancer.
