Abstract

The study aimed to determine the relationship between family and peer group to the cyber bullying behavior in public high school at Luwu Regency. The study used quantitative approach with questionnaire as the research instrument which the statements are the development of the theory and arranged in the operational concept. Based on the aim, the study applied correlation research with sixty samples that were taken from six public high schools at Luwu. The data were analyzed based on statistical analysis namely inferential statistic. Therefore the hypothesis testing and correlation test between variables are carried out. The significance level used was 5%. Based on the contingency coefficient correlation test, the value of ρ =, 000 was obtained, which showed that the correlation between peer support and cyber bullying behavior in high school students in Luwu Regency was statistically significant. The correlation value of 500 indicates positive correlation with moderate correlation strength. In conclusion, if family and peer group do not support cyber bullying behavior, it will further reduce high school students in getting cyber bullying.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the other functions of wells in the Kajang tribal community. The Kajang tribe is a tribe that is still very thick in the culture of its people, like the use of technology such as handphone, TV, etc. not permitted. This makes the process of communication or community interaction limited to direct interaction, in contrast to the general public who have used technology such as handphone etc. This study used descriptive qualitative method. In this study, it was found that the Kajang tribal community depended on their water needs in only one well or water source in each of their hamlets, so this well became one of the gathering places for the Kajang tribal community. The well is a community media for exchanging information, chatting, and even sharing important information to be known by all people of Kajang tribe.

Abstract

The problem in this study is that full day school is applied in all schools in Indonesia, while in terms of school readiness, human resources, culture, and community characteristics differ between urban and rural areas. The purpose of this study is to describe the concept of full day school on aspects of school readiness, human resources, culture, and characteristics of communities in rural areas. The method used is qualitative research library type by recording all findings related to the concept of full day school. The results of the study explained that (a) the full day school system was not suitable for students in rural areas due to the unpreparedness of the school and inadequate human resources; (b) the concept of full day school is not in accordance with the characteristics and culture of rural communities due to the atmosphere that is still conducive, the role of parents who are still active in assisting their children, and the preservation of informal learning so that students can learn directly in the community.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the causes of violent conflict in the community during the pandemic. The description of this article outlines a sociological theoretical explanation of the phenomenon of public rejection of the bodies of Covid-19 patients in various locations. This research used a qualitative paradigm with a case study approach. The phenomenon was analyzed using the theory of hyperreality by Jean-baudrillard and the anomie theory of Emile Durkheim's approach. The analysis of these two sociologists led the writer to investigate the causes of the social problems and see the social impacts that covered them. The results of the study revealed that the occurrence of violent conflict in the early days of the pandemic was caused by the hyperreality of the community. Covid-19's transition period that was full of flaming, had an impact on the social system and social structure. It have given the consequences in the form of deviant actions in society.
