Abstract

The request and accountability reporting of cash advances in companies are now widely supported by web-based applications. However, the process of verifying the completeness and consistency of expense receipts against financial reports is still performed manually by financial staff, which is time-consuming. This study aims to implement Optical Character Recognition (OCR) technology to extract text from payment receipts and match it with expenditure items in financial reports. This technology enables the automation of financial verification processes using a text similarity algorithm based on Levenshtein Distance. By implementing this system, the time required for financial report verification can be significantly reduced, allowing staff to focus on more strategic tasks. The system was tested by integrating the Veryfi OCR application with an API-based system to process payment receipts in various formats. The test results indicate that the system successfully identifies and matches transactions with a high accuracy rate. However, further development is needed to incorporate discount and tax calculations from payment receipts.

Abstract

With globalization, technological growth in various parts of the world is rushing. Likewise, every year, the use of ICT always increases in Indonesia. We can feel the world starting to digitalize every aspect of people's lives, such as education, health, etc. Digitalization in business sectors helps minimize problems experienced mainly by small and micro-scale, such as stock-opname errors. The same situation occurred in one of the micro-businesses, Toko Pojok 70, which runs the business process manually. This research is conducted due to unintegrated data and complicated stock recording processes. The owner tends to lose the item, and sometimes miscalculates the total transaction which leads to business loss. The solution to the owners’ problem is by technology known as point of sales (POS). By adopting the Waterfall method business owners can determine what features on POS are needed to adopt their business processes which involve managing goods, reporting, transactions, and return processes also may help run business processes faster, more precisely, and organized. Based on the requirement analysis, implementation, and testing result. The point of sales that has been created can be implemented on Toko Pojok 70 to handle the problems that occurred in the business.

Abstract

The waste problem is very important in big cities, especially Bandung. The population, people's lifestyles and waste management that has not been carried out professionally are a challenge in itself. One of the preparatory steps to deal with the waste problem is to predict the development of waste volume. In this study, a statistical time series approach, namely the linear regression method, is used to predict the volume and transportation of waste in the city of Bandung. In the prediction process, data processing before being used in the prediction process plays an important role, one of which is data smoothing. A process to smooth the data using the moving average method with intervals of 2.3 and 4 and moving averages with weights of 242 and 12421 will be used to see its effect on the prediction results. Scenario 1 of the data used is all monthly data in the dataset time range and scenario 2 uses the same month's data for each year to predict the results of the month in the following year. The results of the volume and transportation predictions of waste between the best results from the Smoothing method and the results without going through the data smoothing process in scenario 1 show less significant results, namely less than 1%, while in scenario 2 it shows quite significant results, namely around 10% when compared to the actual data. Patterns and data ranges affect the final result from scenarios above.

Abstract

This research aimed to analyze and cluster football teams in the English Premier League (EPL) for the 2023/2024 season based on their playing characteristics using K-Means clustering. Understanding the playing styles is essential for optimizing strategies and enhancing team performance. Preprocessing steps included data cleaning, feature engineering, and visualization of key features such as goals, shots, and attacking attempts. Four clusters were identified using the Elbow method, representing teams with varying levels of attacking and defensive capabilities. Evaluation of the clustering results was conducted using Davies-Bouldin (score: 0.47), Calinski-Harabasz (score: 275.89), and Silhouette (score: 0.53) metrics, indicating moderate clustering quality. The findings suggest that EPL teams tend to be attack-oriented, while defensive strength varies across clusters. Limitations in the dataset, such as the number of observations and features, impacted the analysis, and future studies may benefit from incorporating additional features and advanced dimensionality reduction techniques.

Abstract

Voice-based emotion detection technology (SER), is the study of machines' ability to comprehend patterns in voice data, utilizing a range of methods and features. However, its utilizations remains limited due to the inherent challenges faced by machines in accurately discerning emotions. This research was conducted using a frequently used method, namely CNN and was developed to produce a high-accuracy method, with spectrogram features due to their capacity to record frequencies in RAVDESS. The data set comprised 2068 voice samples classified into five emotion classes: angry, afraid, happy, sad, and neutral. The augmentation of all data regarding noise, pitch, shifting, stretching, and high and low speed, was implemented to replicate real-world conditions. This research was conducted by training on several parameters such as: learning rate, dropout rate, kernel, weight decay size, optimization, epochs, and batch size. This research resulted in a CNN method with the best parameter values produced {weight_decay': 1e-07, 'optimizer': 'adamw', 'learning_rate': 0.001, 'kernel_initializer': 'he_normal', 'dropout_rate': 0.5, 'epochs': 100, 'batch_size': 48}, which has score value of 0.7448840381991815. The model demonstrated a general accuracy level of 75.85% for the training data and 51.64% for the test data, indicating its ability to recognize existing patterns but difficulty in generalizing new data. However, the ROC curve values indicate that the model is capable of differentiating voice data into its respective classes, with values of 0.84 for angry emotions, 0.79 for fear emotions, 0.83 for happy emotions, 0.80 for sad emotions, and 0.9 for neutral emotions.
