Abstract

The prospect of the resources of lebak lebak rice fields that are owned and strategic location with good accessibility, is a basic capital and a great opportunity for the development of the food crop agriculture sector on a regional and national scale.  Efforts to utilize lebak rice fields will still face a number of obstacles, so the application of specific technologies based on the conditions and characteristics of the land is very important.  This research aims to study the potential of lebak rice fields for the development of sustainable agriculture in Banyuasin Regency.  This research uses Participatory Rural Appraisal (PRA) analysis method.  Data analysis was performed descriptively quantitative.  Data collection uses observation techniques, group discussions, and interviews.  From the results of the discussion it is known that the pattern of planting and cultivation of lebak rice fields farming generally uses local varieties with a planting season period once a year.  Rice fields are the main source of livelihood for the people of Banyuasin Regency, which is estimated to be around 180-200 thousand families depending on the existence of rice fields.  On the other hand the low human resources related to the level of adoption of agricultural technology so that it becomes one of the obstacles in the development of lebak rice fields. Keyword : rice fields; sustainable agriculture

Abstract

This research aims to analyze vegetables farming performance and vegetables farmer household welfare in North Dempo Sub-District, Pagar Alam City, South Sumatera Province. Location of the research was chosen purposively and the samples is determined by simple random sampling method. The number of the samples are 99 household and each consist of 33 chili, mustrad greens, and cabbage farmers with monoculture farming. Therefore, this research used survey method. The result of the research shows that vegetables farming performance in the research location has been not-good, with : (1) average productivity of chili, mustard greens, and cabbage farming being 6.080kg/ha, 7.813kg/ha, and 9.557kg/ha, respectively. (2) Production capacity of chili, mustrad greens, and cabbage are 30,40%, 31,25%, and 38,23%, respectively. (3) Household average income in hectare in every growing season for chili, mustrad green, and cabbage are Rp 49.906.113,36, Rp 5.279.915,26, and Rp 9.289.519,69, respectively. Mayority of vegetables farmers welfare based on Sayogyo Proverty Criteria (1997) are in sufficient criteria. Furthermore, 72,73% chili farmers are in sufficient criteria and the rest (27,27%) are in well criteria, 84,85% mustrad greens farmers are in sufficient criteria and the rest (15,15%) are in well criteria, 78,79% cabbage farmers are in sufficient criteria and the rest (21,21%) are in well criteria.Keywords: farmer welfare; farming performance; vegetables farming

Abstract

The objective of this study was to know the impact of the efforts on increasing of the corn yield in Indonesia. The data used in this study are the FAO’s data. They were analyzed by using the econometric model. It is the multiple regression model which its dependent variable is the corn yield and its independent variables are six dummy variables for differentiating seven periods of the intensification programs. The data are time series, i.e. from 1961 to 2017. The result revealed that the intensification programs had been statistically significant in increasing the corn productivity. At the beginning of the green revolution (1961-1967), the average of its productivity was 0.97 ton/ha and in the period 2015-2017 (Upsus), the average of its productivity was 5.23 ton/ha. In this period, the average increase in productivity was 0.32 ton/ha/year which was the highest compared with the periods of the other intensification program.Keywords: corn yield; increase; intensification

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the income of catfish, household income of catfish farmers, and the level of welfare of catfish farmers in the village of Lugusari, Pagelaran sub-district, Pringsewu regency. This research  used a census method and the location was selected purposively in the village of Lugusari, Pagelaran sub-district, Pringsewu district with the consideration that this location is the biggest potential for catfish production. The respondents of this study were catfish farmers, amounting to 59 people. Data were collected from July to August 2020. The analysis used is quantitative analysis to determine the amount of catfish income and household income, as well as qualitative descriptive analysis to determine the level of household welfare.  The results of this study indicate that the average income of catfish farming is IDR 102.932.493 divided into 4 stocking seasons. The household income of farmers is dominated by catfish farming income, which is 84,89 % of the total respondents. The majority of respondents are in the welfare category.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine farm income, household income, and the level of household welfare of cocoa farmers in Sungai Langka Village, Gedong Tataan District, Pesawaran Regency. The research was conducted by using simple random sampling method with the number of respondents as many as 51 farmers. The types of data used are primary data and secondary data. The analytical method in this research is descriptive qualitative and quantitative analysis. The results showed that the income of cocoa farming in Sungai Langka Village was Rp.2,855,466.93 per hectare with an R/C ratio over the total cost of 1.44 so that farming was profitable. Cocoa farmer household income is Rp21.475.598,00 which comes from main on farm income, non main on farm income, off farm income, and non farm income. The level of household welfare of cocoa farmers in Sungai Langka Village according to the indicators of the Central Statistics Agency in 2014 was classified as prosperous as many as 44 farmers with a percentage of 86.27%.

Abstract

The purposes of this research are to determine the income level of vanname shrimp farming, the value chain of vanname shrimp, and the sustainability of vanname shrimp farming in Marga Sari Village in Labuhan Maringgai Sub-District economically, socially, and environmentally by analyzing the financial feasibility of vanname shrimp farming.  The data was collected on March 2020 using a census method.  The data used are primary data from questionnaires and secondary data from literature studies.  The results show that the income of vanname shrimp farming in Marga Sari Village is Rp210.493.641,03 per hectare per year. The value chains of vanname shrimp activities are inbound logistics, operations, out bound logistics, marketing and sales, but there are no after-sales service activities.  There are two channels of agribusiness value chain of vanname shrimp which are formed in Marga Sari Village, namely channel I : farmer, collector trader, wholesale market trader; channel II : farmer, trader, exporter.  The vanname shrimp farming in Marga Sari Village is sustainable, with a sustainability index of 82.22% for economic aspect, 90.63% for social aspect, and 99.00% for environmental aspect.

Abstract

The aimed of this research to analyze financial feasibility, the most profitable fish enlargement, and the sensitivity rate of gouramy and nile tilapia fish enlargement.  This research was conducted in Pagelaran Sub-District, Pringsewu Regency from February until March 2019 by survey method.  The data used are primary and secondary.  The samples size of this research were 43 respondents using simple random sampling method.  Data analysis were use financial feasibility analysis with five criteria (Gross B / C Ratio, Net B / C Ratio, NVP, IRR, and Payback Periode) and sensitivity analysis.  The results showed that (1) the enlargement of gouramy and nile tilapia is financially profitable and feasible to be cultivated, (2) the business of enlarging gouramy is more profitable than nile tilapia, which is shown four values of financial feasibility criteria (Net Present Value (NPV), Internal Rate) of Return (IRR), Gross B / C, and NetB / C) greater, and (3) sensitivity analysis shows the effect of an increase in production costs of 4,39% and a decrease in production of 5,84% in gouramy rearing, namely It is shown that the sensitivity rate of IRR and Net B / C is more than 1, while in the rearing of tilapia with the assumption of an increase in production costs of 4,39% and a decrease in production of 15,35%, it is sensitive to the calculation of business feasibility shown in the sensitivity rate of IRR and Net B / C of one.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze cost of goods manufactured, added value, and tofu agro-industry income. This research uses a case study method. Therefore, it was chosen purposively with the consideration that the agro-industry was still actively producing. The respondents of this research were the owners of the SMS tofu agro-industry. Field research was conducted from August to September 2019. The data collected in this study were primary and secondary data. Then the data analysis method used quantitative descriptive analysis. The results showed that the price of SMS tofu agro-industry production was IDR 1,869.51 per kilogram, the added value of the SMS tofu agro-industry showed a positive value so that it was feasible to be developed, and the SMS tofu agro-industry. is a profitable industry (R / C> 1) because the value of the R / C is more than 1 and feasible.

Abstract

The purpose of this study were to determine the characteristics of consumers towards purchasing Waw coffee drinks at Warkop Waw in Bandar Lampung City, to know consumer attitudes towards purchasing Waw coffee drinks at Warkop Waw in Bandar Lampung City, and to know the level of customer satisfaction with purchasing Waw coffee drinks at Warkop. Waw in the city of Bandar Lampung. The method used in this research was a survey method. The research was conducted at Warkop Waw, Bandar Lampung City. The location selection was carried out purposively with the consideration that Warkop Waw is a coffee place that not only serving delicious coffee to drink but also has many health benefits. Data analysis used in this research was descriptive analysis, validity and reliability test, Fishbein multi-attribute analysis, Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI), Importance and Performance Analysis (IPA). The results of the analysis of consumer attitudes using the Fishbein multi-attribute model at Waw coffee drinks in Warkop Waw, Bandar Lampung City showed that the efficacy attribute got the highest attitude score and the display attribute got the lowest score. The level of customer satisfaction based on the Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI) analysis was 83.44%, which means that consumers are satisfied with the performance of Waw coffee drinks in Warkop Waw, Bandar Lampung City.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the roles of the farmer group leader, analyze the relationship between farmer characteristics and the role of the farmer group leader, and determine the relationship between the role of the farmer group chairman and the rice productivity level in Margosari Village, Pagelaran District. North.  This study was determined purposively with the consideration that Margosari Village is a village that has the largest number of farmer group members in North Pagelaran District. The population is all members of farmer groups in Margosari Village with the total of 263 farmers spread across 7 farmer groups with 60 farmers as respondents.  The results showed that the role of the farmer group leaders is included in the moderate classification (76.67%).  There are three characteristics related to the role of the farmer group leaders, namely age, land size, and length of farming experience.  Rice productivity of group members is 5.78 tonnes/ha, this indicates that the productivity level of members of the farmer group in Margosara Village is high enough.
