Jurnal Ilmu Ilmu Agribisnis: Journal of Agribusiness Science is published by the Department of Agribusiness, Faculty of Agriculture, University of Lampung, in collaboration with PERHEPI, the Indonesian Agricultural Economist Association. The first printed Journal was published in 2013 and the online version started in May 2018 edition. The scopes include agribusiness, agricultural economics, agricultural development, rural sociology, agricultural extension, food security, and other subjects related to agriculture and society. This Journal is published four times a year, February, May, August, and November.

Abstract

This research aims to study the owner's understanding of marketing strategy of tapioca vermicelli, analyze the implementation of marketing strategy that has been done, and know the accessibility of consumers to obtain tapioca vermicelli.  This research used a case study method at Sinar Harapan Agroindustry (SH) and Bintang Obor (BO).  Respondents are the owner of agroindustry, distributors, and consumers of tapioca vermicelli.  Data are analyzed by a descriptive statistical analysis (level of understanding through an all-round management approach and accessibility of consumers) and qualitative descriptive (the realization of marketing strategy that has been done).  The results showed that tapioca vermicelli producers in Metro City are quite understand the marketing strategy, but their implementation is not in accordance with their understanding.  The owner of BO understands the importance of marketing strategy more compared to the owner of SH.  The implementation of marketing strategy by SH and BO producers are almost the same.  The difference of these two agroindustries are that the BO implements the price reserve strategy while SH does not.  Accessibility of consumers to obtain tapioca vermicelli is easy. Key words: accessibility, marketing strategy, tapioca vermicelli

Abstract

This study aims to find out the implementation of PPMK programme in Margodadi Subdistrict Metro City, to find out whether the PPMK programme has been effective in improving the income of KSM members in Metro City, and to find out the factors related to the effectiveness of PPMK Programme in Metro City.  The location of this study was chosen purposively in Non-Governmental Organization (NGO) Margodadi Sub District, South Metro District, Metro City.  The respondents of this research are 25 members of Kelompok Swadaya Masyarakat (KSM) who got capital loans in PPMK Programme.  Data of this research was collected in August-September 2016.  The research method used case method in which data was analyzed by descriptive and tabulation analysis to test the hypothesists.  The results of the research showed that the implementation of PPMK Programme had been running well . PPMK Program was effective on improving the income of KSM members, and the factors that related to the effectiveness of PPMK Programme were human resource quality, sosial capital condition, and finance resource quality.Key words:  effectiveness, LKM, PPMK Programme

Abstract

This research aimed to analyze the decision-making process in the processed local food choice, the pattern of food consumption, and the pattern of processed local food consumption; in addition to factors that affected the pattern of household food consumption.  This research was conducted by survey method.  Location of this research was determined purposively around agroindustry of tapioca vermicelli in Metro City.  The amount of research samples in this research was as many as 71 households, and the respondents in this research were housewives who were selected by simple random sampling.  The data was collected in month of February – April 2017.  And was analyzed by descriptive quantitative analysis, descriptive statistics analysis, and verification analysis by multiple linear regression.  The result showed that household decision making in processed local food was consist of introduction needs, seeking information, evaluation of the alternative, selection decision, and post-selection evaluation.  The amount of energy consumption was 6,482 kcal/household/day or 1,620 kcal/capita/day.  The score of desireable dietary pattern was only 57.45.  Cassava was one of the most consumed local foods and has the most processed product.  Cassava chips were the processed product of cassava that were consumed in the largest frequency.  Most of household got the processed local food by buying.  The household desireable dietary pattern around agroindustry of tapioca vermicelli in Metro City was influenced by the household number, the age of housewife, and the high rank of nutrition knowledge of the housewife.Key words: consumtion pattern, decision making, local food

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the income of red chili farming in Kalianda Sub-District of South Lampung Regency.  This research is conducted by using census method, involving 30 farmer respondents.  Data were collected in October – November 2016.  The objective is analyzed descriptively and quantitatively using R/C ratio.  The results showed that the income of red chili farming is Rp91,519,527.08/ha and the value of R/C on total cost is 2.95.Key words: farming, income, red chili

Abstract

This study aims to determine: the decision making process on purchasing liquid yogurt, the consumer's knowledge on liquid yoghurt products, and the consumers’ attitude toward the liquid yoghurt product in Bandar Lampung. This study use survai methodin which number of respondents are 96 people who are recruited by accidental sampling method.  The data is collected using validited and reliabilited questionnaires,and analyzed by qualitative descriptive and Fishbein multiattribute model. The attributes used are price, taste variation, brand, volume, expiration information, packaging condition, nutritional content, advertisement, taste, halal label and ease of getting the product.  The result showed that decision making on purchasing liquid yogurt was done through five stages, the average level of knowledge of liquid yogurt was 93.43%, this was in the good category.  Attitude analysis showed that the attribute most favored and trusted by the consumer was halal labelin which attitude score (Ao) was 1.68Key words:  Consumer attitude, knowledge, liquid yoghurt

Abstract

This research aimed to analyse marketing efficiency and marketing strategy of milkfish processing business in Lampung Province. The research was conducted in three milkfish processing businesses in February 2017. The marketing agencies which involved in product marketing are chosen by using snowball method. Data are analyzed using a qualitative and quantitative descriptive analysis. The results proved that the marketing system of milkfish processing business in Lampung Province has two cannels.  In the first channel producers sell their products directly to consumers, and in the second channel producers sell their products to consumers through merchants.  Marketing system is not efficient. The marketing strategy of milkfish processing business in Lampung Province in UD Sabily is increasing the use of technology in production process to create more varying and qualified products. ‘Jeng Sri’ creates more varying and qualified products to optimize high business competitiveness. ‘Sedap Lestari’ produces products according to consumers’ demand and utilized the low level of competition in the business environment for market control.Key words: marketing strategy, milkfish, SWOT analysis

Abstract

The study aims to analyse farming income, income difference between rice farming and rice seed farming, and factors that affect farmers in applying rice seed production. This study uses  a survey method and respondents are 36 rice farmers and 19 rice breeders of Tunas Baru and Mekarti Jaya farmer groups. Results showed that cost, income, and Revenue Cost(R/C) ratio of rice farming are Rp11,280,754.67, Rp14,60,.487.00, and 2.29 respectively. Meanwhile, those of rice breeding are Rp 10,373,681.80, Rp 24,822,949.77, and 3.39 respectively. Based on the independent sample of t-test, there is the difference of farming income of Rp10,220,462.77. The external factors that encourage farmers to apply rice seed production  are the price and higher income. The internal factors are the products, number of family dependents, yield, and land size, with 95 per cent of validity.Key words: income, rice seed production
