Jurnal Ilmu Ilmu Agribisnis: Journal of Agribusiness Science is published by the Department of Agribusiness, Faculty of Agriculture, University of Lampung, in collaboration with PERHEPI, the Indonesian Agricultural Economist Association. The first printed Journal was published in 2013 and the online version started in May 2018 edition. The scopes include agribusiness, agricultural economics, agricultural development, rural sociology, agricultural extension, food security, and other subjects related to agriculture and society. This Journal is published four times a year, February, May, August, and November.

Abstract

The objectives of this study are to analyze the standard cost and the income of corn farming in Adiluwih District, Pringsewu Regency. Respondents are corn farmers chosen by using simple random sampling method.  Data were collected by interviewing the respondents on the corn farming in the Rainy Season (RS) 2016/2017 and the Dry Season (DS) 2017. The data were analyzed by using the economic and financial analysis. The average corn productivities were 2.84 ton/ha in RS 2016/2017 and 2.75 ton/ha in DS 2017. The average standard costs for producing corn was IDR2,927/kg and its 95% confidence interval was IDR2,168/kg – IDR3,686/kg.  The average net income over its cash costs was IDR5.73 million/ha, the same amount in RS 2016/2017 and in DS 2017.  The net income over its total cost was IDR3.57 million/ha in RS 2016/2017 and also in DS 2017 Key words: confidence interval, corn, income, standard cost

Abstract

The purposes of this research are to analyze the level of food security and the factors that affect the level of food security. The research is conducted by survey method in Metro City that is chosen purposively as the research location. Respondents consisted of 17 paddy farmer households, 5 maize farmer households and 22 non-farmer households which were selected by simple random sampling. The data of income of farmers is analyzed by summing the total income from farming (Paddy and corn), non-farm income and non-agricultural income, while non-farm household income is obtained from the sum of the main work and gifts from children / siblings.  Then to analyze the level of food security it is calculated based on the cross classification between the share of food expenditure and energy adequacy.  The result of this research showed that the average of household income of paddy farmers was IDR 2,984,183/month, the average of household income of corn farmers was IDR 2,682,250/month and the average of household income of non-farmers was IDR 3,003,571/month.  Most of the paddy farmer households were classified as less food (52.94%), as food secures (41.18%) and the rest respondents classified as vulnerable food (5.88%.  Maize farmer households were classified as less food (80.00%) and as food secure (20.00%). Non-farm households were classified as less food (31.82%), as food secure (50.00%) and the rest respondents were classified as vulnerable food (18.18%). The factors that affected the level of food security are the formal education of household head.Key words: farmer and non-farmer households, food security.

Abstract

Coffee contains caffeine, which is often consumed by fishermen as their choice when working at night. This research aims to study fishermen's attitude toward consuming coffee and the factors that influence fishermen's demand for coffee in Teluk Betung Timur Sub-district.  This research used a survey method with direct interviews using a questionnaire.  Research was conducted in Teluk Betung Timur Sub-district in June-July 2020, using purposive sampling. Respondents were 54 fishermen with the criteria of fishermen who consume coffee at least four times in a month.  Research data were analyzed descriptive quantitatively using a model of multiattribute Fishbein and multiple linear regression.  Based on research results, Fishermen in Teluk Betung Timur Sub District Bandar Lampung City have a pretty good attitude category on consuming coffee with the most preferred attribute after-drink effect. The factors that influence fishermen's demand for coffee are the price of energy drinks, sugar prices, and types of coffee.Key words: Attitude in consuming, coffee, demand.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the marketing mix applied on the marketing activities and study the obstacles onapplying marketing mix, in addition to analyzing the marketing mix that should be carried out by banana agroindustry of “Askha Jaya Keripik Lampung”. This research was a case study conducted in January to February 2020 at the Bandar Lampung Industrial Chip Center in which data was analyzed by qualitative descriptive analysis method. The results of this study showed that the marketing mix carried out by Askha Jaya Agroindustry produced three types of banana chips, namely sliced, rounded and melted. The determination of the selling price was implemented by the cost plus pricing method. The distribution channels were conducted by two channels and promotions was carried out through personal selling, sales promotion, advertising and publicity. Some constraints faced by the agroindustry were the availability of products caused by the scarcity of raw materials, delaying in the process of services to consumers, product delivering time and imaging capture without permission on online marketing. The marketing mix that should be done was reducing the size of the product weight when there was scarcity of raw materials, adding price tags to the shop, and the need of sanctions for those who were not responsible for online marketing.Keywords: agroindustry, banana chips, marketing mix

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the readiness of farmers, their income, and marketing of certified organic coffee in West Lampung Regency. This research conducted in Sindang Pagar Village, Sumber Jaya Sub-District, Mutar Alam Village and Tambak Jaya Village, Way Tenong Sub-District, West Lampung Regency. The samples of this research were all farmers participating in the organic coffee certification program, 35 farmers totally. Qualitative descriptive analysis used to analyze the readiness of farmers in participating the certification program, quantitative descriptive analysis used to calculate farm income, marketing channels, and marketing margins. The results showed that the farmers were not ready to take part in the organic certification program because there were still unfulfilled indicators. Organic coffee farming income is IDR3,741,918 per ha with an R/C value of 1.74. Coffee marketing in this research area has 3 marketing channels. In marketing channel I farmers sell their coffee to coffee processors, in marketing channel II farmers sell to wholesalers then to exporters, in marketing channel III coffee farmers sell to collectors, then to wholesalers, and finally to exporters. The selling price in the first channel is more profitable for farmers than the second and third channels. Marketing carried out by farmers participating in the certification, namely 18% is sold at the price of organic coffee, and the remaining 82% sold underpriced. In the second and third channels, farmers do not get a premium fee for marketing the coffee products they produce during the certification process.Key words: coffee, certification, farmers, organic.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to analyze financial feasibility and development prospect of nutmeg farming in Lampung Province. This research was conducted in Gisting Subdistrict, Tanggamus Regency and data were collected in September - October 2017 using a survey method. This reaserch used primary and secondary data. Primary data were used to analyze financial feasibility and obtained by interview technique using questionnaires. The samples size of this research were 30 nutmeg farmers taken using simple random sampling. Secondary data were data in the past seven - nine years to find out the prospect development of nutmeg farming. The data were analyzed using financial feasibility and time series linier with ARIMA model analyses. The results of the study showed that the nutmeg farming was feasible, and development prospect of nutmeg farming based on production and nutmeg seeds export had a good potential for the future.Key words: ARIMA, development, financial, nutmeg, prospect

Abstract

This research aimed to determine the implementation, analyze the effectiveness of the implementation, the welfare and income of beneficiaries, the relationship between effectiveness of Rastra and BPNT in addition to the level of income and welfare of beneficiary families in Yukum Jaya Village. The research was conducted by survey method, include location was determined purposively of Yukum Jaya Village. The data was analized qualitative, effectiveness analysis methods, household income, welfare according to the BKKBN and Rank Spearman test. The results showed that the distribution of Rastra and BPNT has not fully complied with the regulations set by Ministry of Social Affairs. The effectiveness of Rastra and BPNT was not effective. The highest average income of Rastra was earned by 7 entrepreneurs in which average income month was Rp5,842,105 and the lowest income was earned by a laundry worker and clothes iron Rp378,947. The highest income of BPNT was earned by 10 vegetables trader with an average income/month of Rp6,659,032 and the lowest income was a tofu trader with an average income/month of Rp587,097. The welfare level of the respondents Rastra was in the stage of prosperous family II (KS II) and prosperous family III (KS III) of BPNT was classified on prosperous family stage III (KS III). There was no positive relationship between the effectiveness of Rastra and BPNT program and the level of income and welfare of beneficiary families.Key words: BPNT, effectiveness, income, Rastra, welfare

Abstract

This study aimed to analyze management of raw material procurement; cost of production, added value and profit; distribution channels in the luwak coffee aroindustry. The method used was a case study on the Ratu Luwak Agroindustry in Balik Bukit District, West Lampung Regency. The research was conducted from April 2020 to June 2020. The data analysis methods used were quantitative and qualitative descriptive analysis. The results of this study indicated that the management of raw material procurement was not yet economical; the cost of production, added value and profit of the agroindustry had positive values which means that the agro-industry was profitable; distribution channels shown that the marketing was efficient. Key words: agroindustry, luwak coffee, performance, regular coffee.
