Abstract

Schools still need to carry out the process of selecting outstanding students, which has several weaknesses. The data processing process takes a long time and tends to result in human decision-making errors. Although the selection of outstanding students is essential in giving awards and praise to students who excel, the school's current method could be more optimal. The process often takes a long time and requires a lot of human resources to collect and process student data, which can disrupt the school's daily operations. this research aims to group and select students as outstanding students by implementing the k-means clustering method and utilizing E-Learning features. The data used in this study are 30 samples of MIN 2 Malang City student grades, five criteria and grouped into 3 clusters. Experiments conducted are the best criteria weight, the best centroid, the best radius and the best number of clusters to obtain groups (clusters) of students according to the ability and assessment of students. The experimental results show that the best criterion weight is the 4th criterion weight with the percentage of criterion weights: K1 = 25%, K2 = 20%, K3 = 25%, K4 = 15% and K5 = 15%. The best centroid is the 1st test with a Percussion value of 97%, Recall of 98%, Specificity of 98% and Accuracy of 98% obtained in the 1st test. The best radius is obtained in the first and fifth tests with the farthest distance of 10.42. The best number of clusters from the trial results with division into three groups and four obtained is 3 clusters with Precision of 79%, Recall of 78%, Specificity of 89% and Accuracy of 87%. Then the implementation of the k-means method with the system resulted in grouping the highest scores (C1) in as many as 21 students, medium scores (C2) in as many as 5 students and low scores (C3) in as many as 4 students. C1 = 21 students with student data (2, 4, 6, 7, 8, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, 21, 24, 25, 26, 27, 28, 29, 30), C2 = 5 students with student data (9, 10, 20, 22, 23) and C3 = 4 students with student data (1, 3, 5, 11).

Abstract

Due to its advantageous location on the border of Jakarta and Tangerang, Tangerang Selatan is a highly developed city. In this instance, the Tangerang Selatan Department of Culture and Tourism (Dispar Tangsel) is required to use the application to assist the general public in realizing the availability of information in the Tangerang Selatan area. Twenty to twenty-five restaurants submit applications each year to the Dispar Tangsel Tourism Business Registry (TDUP). Dispar Tangsel must choose and decide on TDUP licensing priorities from among TDUP requests in order to open a restaurant. The purpose of the research is to offer recommendations to the community on food choices. Rapid application development (RAD) was used in the system's development. Additionally, the collaborative filtering technique has been employed by the decision support system to determine the amount of criteria or weight for restaurants using the weighted sum algorithm and for restaurants using cosine-based similarity algorithms. Additionally, the system design tool made use of MySQL as a database, PHP, the Codeigniter framework, and the unified modeling language (UML). The result demonstrates that the system is capable of displaying the output in accordance with the user's expectations during black box testing, which evaluates the functionality of the system based on the specifications. Collaborative filtering in SISRES can yield a significant improvement in recommendation accuracy. By collectively analyzing user preferences and behaviors, the algorithm can provide more relevant and personalized recommendations.

Abstract

Small informal retailers play a crucial role in the local economy, with consumer purchase intentions being the backbone of their sustainability. The purpose of this research is to explore the relationship between perceived product quality, consumer trust, and price sensitivity to purchase intention among small retailers. This research data was obtained from Mendeley data in the form of subsistence retail consumer data consisting of 281 respondents. The analysis was carried out using SmartPLS because it can be used as a measuring tool in SEM analysis more easily, quickly and efficiently. The test results show that perceived product quality has a significant positive effect on purchase intention. Positively perceived product quality makes a strong impression on consumers, increasing their trust in the retailer. However, low consumer confidence in retailers can result in decreased purchase intentions due to uncertainty and doubts about the quality of the products or services offered. In addition, price sensitivity also moderates the relationship between perceived product quality and purchase intention. This research provides insight into the interrelationships between perceived product quality, consumer trust, price sensitivity, and purchase intention in the context of informal small retailers, which can enrich marketing theories related to consumer behavior and purchasing decisions.

Abstract

The spread and resilience of Covid 19 in an environment depend on meteorological factors. The relationship between the covid case and meteorological factors needs to be examined more deeply. This study aims to determine the relationship between confirmed cases of Covid 19 and meteorological factors, namely temperature and humidity levels. The data used in this study are the number of confirmed cases of Covid 19, the average temperature, and the average humidity level in five states in the United States. Data were obtained from 22 January - 30 September 2020. This study used the Pearson and Spearman Correlation Analysis to find an effect from temperature and humidity levels to increase the number of confirmed cases of Covid 19. The Business Intelligence approach with LSTM is also carried out by predicting a multivariate time series in confirmed cases of Covid 19. Based on the results of Pearson Correlation and Spearman Correlation, it is stated that humidity and temperature have a correlation that affects the spread of Covid 19. The use of multivariate time-series can predict cases of confirmed Covid with meteorological factors such as temperature and humidity levels. The prediction results show that an increase in Covid-19 cases in the States of California, Texas, Florida, Illinois, and Georgia can still occur.

Abstract

Moodle is a widely used Learning Management System in various educational institutions worldwide. However, frequent reports on internet forums indicate performance degradation when massive simultaneous users access Moodle. One of the most resource-intensive components supporting Moodle is the database, as all user-accessed data is stored in it. This study aims to optimize Moodle’s performance through distributed databases. Distributing the database into multiple database servers allows the database load to be distributed across all the database servers, resulting in an overall improvement in Moodle performance. This study compares the performance of Moodle installed on a single server with that installed on multiple database servers. Various testing parameters are employed to get valid results. Namely, course read, course write, and database performance, utilizing the server performance plugin available in Moodle. This research reveals a performance improvement of 384% in course read, 193% in course write, and 260% in the Moodle database in the multi-server scenario compared to the single-server scenario. This result validates that the database is the most crucial part of Moodle.

Abstract

The use of plastic bags by the public as containers for shopping goods is very high. People often throw away plastic waste carelessly, causing pollution everywhere. The biggest problem with the lack of recycling action lies in the lack of public awareness of the importance of implementing 3R (Reduce, Reuse, Recycle). People are less motivated to do 3R, one of which is because there are no rewards after doing 3R. This research develops an application provides rewards to the community for using Eco-Green Bags as an alternative to plastic bags. This research application has a system that makes it easier for people to carry out 3R. This proposed framework application uses the React Native framework for creating mobile apps and Next.JS for creating admin websites and APIs. With the React Native framework, application performance will be faster and smoother for users. The Next.JS framework allows developers to have a very clear project structure, because Next.JS uses file-based routing. With this research, it is hoped that people can be even more motivated to carry out 3R. The community can participate easily in implementing 3R without any coercion but through the community's own initiative. In this way, the application can be a real supporter of society in implementing 3R and avoiding the use of plastic bags which are also contributors to environmental pollution.
