This article is the results of the research about “Evaluation of policy of developing Islamic paradigm knowledge”. It is the ultimate mision of converting Islamic Higher Education which has a status as State Islamic Institution (IAIN) to be State Islamic University (UIN). Because of the image of IAIN is considered trapped in the dicotomy of knowledge, then it was more focused on Islamic studies and seems ignoring the seculer studies. Therefore, the new mision is fostered “the Integration of Knowledge and Islam” This paper is the policy research by reviewing the sides of the problems on the fields particularly the policy implementation model of developing Islamic paradigm of knowledge as the ultimate mision of converting IAIN to UIN Suska Riau that still left behind other elements which have progress very rapidly. The form of this research is developing model. After being analyzed various models of implementation of policy. Thus, accordance with the method of research, the model treatment have been tested in the faculty of Education and Teacher Training, and Faculty of Social Science and Economy Faculty. The results, from various models developed such as Top Down model, Buttom up, and Hybridge, Hybridge model is considered more effective and efficient to be applied. While, the main contraint from interview results conducted at the faculty level evidently have no any models, guidances, and instructions about developing islamic paradigm of knowledge, either at the general faculties and religious faculties.

Every child has an unic and special characteristic which are different from their peers. The differences in emotional development need to get special care so they can regulate their emotion properly, especially Special children need to be understood that their difficulties to regulate emotion are not because of their will, but they need their parents encourage to make them sure about their effort to regulate their emotion that they feel. Parents’ confidence and figure models that were observed in family contribute in shaping their children’s self confidence to regulate their emotion and encourage them can be independent and be brave take a risk; so they can behave properly in social environment and can be avoided social adapting problems in their life.

From the profile of data organizing the educational process at the Department of Mathematics Unimed indicates that the failure rate of repeat and students are still high, especially in the advanced course. In MatDis I know graduation percentage in 20012 s / d in 2013 that the gain value of A is still low at 17%, the value of B is 39%, 7% received C grades and 37% gaining grades E. One indication of the cause of this problem is a lack of communication skills and creative thinking mathematically solve students’ problem that is already supported by some of the concepts that have been previously known. If the issue is offered at the level theorem proving, students must start from where finish confusion. Moreover, at the level of analyzing the problem, questions synthesizing, solve problems, and evaluate the matter. The main objective of this research is to improve the skills of lecturers in applying the model to the course, specifically whether the application of the method of high-level questions on subjects MatDis I can improve mathematical communication and higherorder thinking students’ skill, this study included classroom action research. Based on the results obtained class action; for student participation was found that students who perform activities such as participation in rubric be on the score 1-5 contained 86%. The increase 77.7% overall. For the 86% graduation rate obtained from 36 or 31 students. And of the interview was obtained that 94% of students, or 34 of 36 people found the applied learning method is appropriate and suitable researchers in an effort to improve communication and mathematical thinking skill high level students.

There are many interested cases that would be studied by a judgeman. In this case, the role of goverment and the student’s parents as having role of main central education in forming the behavior of students well. A part of society consider that the problem taken by the students caused by globalization era. The fact of globalization make the society forgot about the significant characters of nation. The educational character is the fundamental of nation which has a very important role and should be taught before to the next generation. Moral crisis and character grow ofcourse related to education directly or indirectly. Character crisis that had involved in this country caused by the destruction of people in the socity especially boys and girls which become the cultural collectively. The cultural will become internally getting to the Indonesian people’s feeling and become a character. The character of Indonesian people is determined by the behaviour of Indonesian people itself. The parents and the headmaster or teacher of school is only hopefully the succesful of students academicly that can be measured by the result of his/her prestige or rank, it is not talking about his/her way in teaching. This things orientally forces the student’s parents to their son for studying hard in order to reach the target hopefully. One way to solve the problem alternatifely is by using the educational character. The educational of character combines and improves the activity of informal education area in the family environtment by getting formal education in the school. Many schools and families should be selective in doing the process of education, don’t appear be bored to the students, teacher, and the parents should often attract the studnts or his/her son to study the nature directly. The process of teaching should not be forced but it should be done pleasently, it is not only based on the theory; teaching is not used the docterin way or arrogantly

This study starts from the low ability of reasoning and understanding of the math concepts students with the root of the problems caused by the use of teachers teaching model less relevant and very limited use of learning media. The study aims to determine: (1) whether the application of Bruner's theory with the help of concept maps can enhance students 'mathematical reasoning, (2) whether the application of Bruner's theory with the help of concept maps can enhance students' understanding of concepts, and (3) describe the activity levels of students in the application of theory Bruner with the help of concept maps. This research a classroom action research. Subjects in this study were students of class XI SMA 20 field totaling 40 people. Object of study is the increase in students' mathematical reasoning and understanding through learning to use Bruner's theory with the help of a concept map on the subject of Opportunity. The results of the data analysis an average score of 72.2 mastery of prerequisite. From the results of the study concluded that the application of mathematics learning using Bruner's theory with the help of concept maps can enhance students 'reasoning and understanding of mathematics, and their lessons take place either by reviewing the observations of students' activities. Based on this conclusion it is expected that the findings of this study can be used as a reference for the improvement of reasoning and understanding of math concepts students

This study was conducted to apply science learning with contextual approach to improving scientific literacy and the quality of students' arguments in a discussion of issues socio scientific. The study was conducted in MTs Daarul Uluum Majalengka PUI, involving 33 students of Boarding Schools Daarul Uluum Majalengka PUI. The findings of this initial study showed no learning materials linked to real-life situations of students, according to the context of people's lives around. Efforts to improve scientific literacy and the quality of the students argument has never been done in learning science. Implementation developed contextual learning done in class and in the field. Data were collected through a needs analysis, documentation, observation, interviews, tests, and questionnaires. Qualitative data analysis is described in accordance with a research focus. Quantitative data were processed using N-gain, differential test and correlation test. The results showed that the application of contextual learning can be implemented with various methods and evaluation. It was also found that contextual learning through discussion of issues socio scientific can improve scientific literacy and the quality of students' arguments. Correlation coefficient of 0.850 means there is a strong relationship between the quality of argumentation in the discussions pre discussion with post discussion socio scientific issue. Contextual learning is linked to the issue of sosio scientific IPA is a new and exciting enough student interest. Education has two major objectives include (1) the purpose of which is formal, which puts stress on the structuring and formation of private student reasoning students and (2) the purpose of which is material that is putting pressure on implementers as well as the science of life problemsolving skills. The manual labor often complain of college graduates (PT) quality half-hearted. How not to be disappointed if it turns out graduates who scored less formidable, dishonest, quickly bored, can not work teamwork, lack the ability to communicate orally and in writing with a good report. This study linked the values of these soft skills to indigenous people of North Sumatra. Education Andragogy is done based on local wisdom that achievement penginternalisasian character education towards learning can be achieved with either. It distinguishes education andragogy and pedagogy is on (1) the formation of self-image (2) Life Experiences (3) Learning Readiness and (4) Time and Direction Learning. The study of results obtained that andragogy as continuing education activities for adults is a way to learn directly from experience, a re-education process that can reduce social conflicts. Local knowledge-based education model is a model of education that has high relevance for the development of life skills (life skills) by relying on local empowerment and potential ketempilan in each region. Local knowledge-based education is education that teaches students to always be attached to the concrete situations they face. Key Words: Character Education, Andragogy, local wisdom, IT / ICT

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menemukan factor-faktor keberhasilan dan ketidakberhasilan pelaksanaan penyaluran dana Bantuan Operasional Sekolah (BOS) di Sumatera Utara. Melibatkan sebanyak 554 responden yang berasal dari berbagai elemen seperti Satker Dinas Tingkat II, Personil pada BANK penyalur, Komite Sekolah, Kepala Sekolah dan Siswa yang terdapat di kabupaten/kota propinsi sumatera utara Hasil Penelitian ini membukikan bahwa, faktor-faktor yang dapat menentukan keberhasilan pelaksanaan penyaluran dana Bantuan Operasional Sekolah (BOS) di Sumatera Utara adalah: (1) Variabel Input, pada faktor: sarana dan prasarana, media Informasi dan organisasi (2) Variabel proses pada faktor: Seleksi dan Alokasi Dana, MONEV, Administrasi Pelaksanaan, Administrasi Keuangan dan Workshop, (3) Variabel Outpu pada faktort: Penyaluran Dana dan Pemanfaatan Dana. The purpose of this research is to increase the creative thinking skill of students by using the mind map method. It is a classroom action research which is done by two cycles. The subjects of this research are the fifth semester students of PGMI STAIN Jurai Siwo in the academic year of 2012/2013. To get the data of this research, the researcher uses two kinds of instruments; they are test and observation. The test is done to get data of creative thinking skill of student, and observation is done to get data of learning process by using the mind map method. Based on the result of the test, it shows that creative thinking skill of students increase significantly after the mind map method is done. It is suitable with the result of t-test of creative thinking skill of students before and after the mind map method is done. Class A and B have significant value (P-value) 0.000. This significant value (P-value) is less that 0.05. Therefore, Hypothesis state that there is no different means between pre-test and post-test in creative thinking skill of students, it is refused. It means that the means of pre-test and post-test in creative thinking skill of students are different significantly. Thus, the learning by using the mind map method significantly can increase the creative thinking skill of the fifth semester students of PGMI STAIN Jurai Siwo in the academic year of 2012/2013
