Abstract

The purpose of research in the design of this experiment was to investigate the apparent increase in the mathematical problem solving abilities of students. The research was conducted in the Department of Mathematics Education, State University of Medan. This research is an experimental study with the study design pre-test-post-test control group design. The population in this study were all students of semesters 1 (one) UNIMED mathematics education majors to take samples of two classes (class experimental and control classes) through random sampling technique. Data obtained from tests the ability of solving mathematical problems. Data were analyzed by ANOVA two lanes. Before use ANOVA two-lane first tested for normality and homogeneity in research in this study with a significant level of 5%. The results showed that the average increase problem solving ability test experimental class was 0.48 and 0.38 in the control class is sig = 0.02 with 0.02 <α = 0.05 then there is an increase in mathematical problem solving ability students are taught by learning models IMPROVE higher than in the Direct Learning. The findings of the study recommend IMPROVE be one learning approach used in primary school or university to achieve a high level of competence thinking.Keywords    : Improve Learning Model, Mathematical Problem Solving Ability

Abstract

This article is the results of the research about “Evaluation of policy of developing Islamic paradigm knowledge”. It is the ultimate mision of converting Islamic Higher Education which has a status as State Islamic Institution (IAIN) to be State Islamic University (UIN). Because of the image of IAIN is considered trapped in the dicotomy of knowledge, then it was more focused on Islamic studies and seems ignoring the seculer studies. Therefore, the new mision is fostered “the Integration of Knowledge and Islam” This paper is the policy research by reviewing the sides of the problems on the fields particularly the policy implementation model of developing Islamic paradigm of knowledge as the ultimate mision of converting IAIN to UIN Suska Riau that still left behind other elements which have progress very rapidly. The form of this research is developing model. After being analyzed various models of implementation of policy. Thus, accordance with the method of research, the model treatment have been tested in the faculty of Education and Teacher Training, and Faculty of Social Science and Economy Faculty. The results, from various models developed such as Top Down model, Buttom up, and Hybridge, Hybridge model is considered more effective and efficient to be applied. While, the main contraint from interview results conducted at the faculty level evidently have no any models, guidances, and instructions about developing islamic paradigm of knowledge, either at the general faculties and religious faculties.

Abstract

Unsur-unsur pendidikan berbasis nilai dapat ditemukan tidak hanya dalam materi pelajaran, tetapi dalam gaya atau metode belajar yang digunakan, penjadwalan kelas, kegiatan ekstrakurikuler, dan keterlibatan orang tua. Pendidikan berbasis nilai diatur untuk mengamankan pembangunan yang membutuhkan keterpaduan lengkap antara tubuh, pikiran, dan hati, serta penyaluran energi kehidupan dalam kegiatan pembelajaran yang berkontribusi terhadap pertumbuhan kepribadian anak baik internal maupun eksternal. Pendidikan berbasis nilai merupakan instrumen untuk mencapai cita-cita kehidupan. Pendidikan yang tidak membantu mengungkapkan kebajikan manusia tidak akan melakukan apapun yang baik untuk masyarakat, melainkan akan menyesatkan keseluruhan kemanusiaan. Pendidikan sebagai instrumen harus dirumuskan atas nilai-nilai. Pembelajaran nilai, norma, dan etika, diharapkan dapat mengembalikan karakter bangsa kepada esensinya. Untuk mengembalikan karakter bangsa, pemerintah memberlakukan kurikulum 2013 yang menekankan pada pembelajaran nilai dan norma.Key Word: pendidikan, kurikulum, nilai, karakter

Abstract

Dosen PAI yang membekali diri dengan kompetensi pedagogik, sosial, profesional, akhlak, emosional, intelektual, dan keagamaan atau minimal memiliki kecerdasan intelektual, kecerdasan sosial, kecerdasan emosional, kecerdasan moral, dan kecerdasan spiritual akan mampu menghadapi tantangan era globalisasi yang sedang bergulir. Era globalisasi, selain menjadi tantangan, juga menjadi peluang bagi dosen PAI untuk terus meningkatkan dan mengembangkan seluruh kompetensinya sehingga dapat menjalankan tugas keprofesionalannya untuk melahirkan output berkualitas yang mampu bersaing dalam era global.

Abstract

AbstractLeadership of madrasah headmasters and teacher professionalism are the two things that determine the successful of implementation of school-based management. This study aims at knowing  the effect of headmaster transformational leadership and professionalism of teachers either individually or collectively toward the successful of the implementation of School Based Management in pesantren in Agam District. The formulation of this research problem is whether there is effect of transformational leadership of madrasah headmaster and professionalism of teachers either individually or collectively toward  the successful of implementation of School Based Management at pesantren in Agam Regency. This research is done by using quantitative approach. The population of this study is all teachers of Pesantren Agam Regency, 896 people. The samples were selected by Area sampling technique and Simple random sampling, as many as 227 teachers. Data were collected through a Likert scale model questionnaire with validity and reliability tested. Data analysis using correlation and regression techniques with the help of SPSS version 15 program. The results showed that the transformational leadership of madrasah headmasters and professionalism of teachers both individually and collectively have the affect toward the implementation of School Based Management in pesantren in Kabupaten Agam. Keywords: Transformational Leadership, Teacher Professionalism, School Based Management AbstrakKepemimpinan kepala madrasah dan profesionalisme guru merupakan  dua hal yang menentukan keberhasilan pelaksanaan manajemen berbasis sekolah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh kepemimpinan transformasional kepala madrasah dan  profesionalisme guru baik secara sendiri-sendiri maupun secara bersama  terhadap keberhasilan pelaksanaan Manajemen Berbasis Sekolah pada pesantren di Kabupaten Agam. Adapun rumusan masalah penelitian ini adalah apakah terdapat pengaruh kepemimpinan transformasional kepala madrasah dan  profesionalisme guru baik secara sendiri-sendiri maupun secara bersama  terhadap keberhasilan pelaksanaan Manajemen Berbasis Sekolah pada pesantren di Kabupaten Agam? Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif. Populasi penelitian ini adalah seluruh guru pesantren Kabupaten Agam berjumlah 896 orang. Sampel dipilih dengan teknik  Area sampling dan Simple random sampling, sebanyak 227 orang guru. Data dikumpulkan melalui angket model skala Likert dengan validitas dan reliabilitasnya sudah diuji. Analisis data menggunakan teknik korelasi dan regresi dengan bantuan program SPSS versi 15. Hasil Penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kepemimpinan transformasional kepala madrasah dan  profesionalisme guru baik secara sendiri-sendiri maupun secara bersama  berpengaruh  terhadap pelaksanaan Manajemen Berbasis Sekolah pada pesantren di Kabupaten Agam.Kata Kunci : Kepemimpinan Transformasional, Profesionalisme Guru, Manajemen Berbasis Sekolah

Abstract

Every child has an unic and special characteristic which are different from their peers. The differences in emotional development need to get special care so they can regulate their emotion properly, especially Special children need to be understood that their difficulties to regulate emotion are not because of their will, but they need their parents encourage to make them sure about their effort to regulate their emotion that they feel. Parents’ confidence and figure models that were observed in family contribute in shaping their children’s self confidence to regulate their emotion and encourage them can be independent and be brave take a risk; so they can behave properly in social environment and can be avoided social adapting problems in their life.

Abstract

The Holy Quran has three terms are often referred to as a term for human beings, namely al-Insan al-Basyar and the sons of Adam. The third term, each having its own meaning. Man said al-Insan is viewed from the side of kediriannya as a thinking being, al-Basyar is showing the physical dimensions of the human being, while the sons of Adam are seen from the human lineage. Man was created comes with dimensions of jasmaniyah and ruhiyah, so with both dimensions this man can become the perfect creature surpasses other creatures. The advantages given to humans also demands the man for the task and function of its creation, either as a servant of God and as a khalifah fil ard. Islamic education task mempunnyai important enough in this case, namely, how to create a human being who is able to develop all potential so that human beings are able to execute his duties as both a servant of God and as the leader in the face of the Earth.Key Words: Human, The Essence Of The Philosophy Of Islamic Education.

Abstract

Artikel ini mengkaji pemikiran pendidikan Islam perspektif humanisme-Pancasila. Sila keduanya tentang kemanusiaan merupakan inti ajaran humanisme ini. Bangsa Indonesia menjadikan Pancasila sebagai dasar dan pandangan hidup dalam segala aspek kehidupannya. Sandaran vertikal kepada Tuhan (Allah) akan mampu membangkitkan semangat dan berhasil meraih cita-cita guna melindungi nilai-nilai hidup, harkat dan martabat manusia. Humanisme Islam karena mengedepankan akhlak dan kebaikan untuk semua (rah}mah li-al-‘a>lami>n). Pendidikan Islam sebagai subsistem pendidikan nasional dituntut mampu mengembangkan potensi diri peserta didik menjadi manusia Pancasila sejati. Pendidikan berdasar humanisme-Pancasila memiliki karakteristik: (1) menghormati keyakinan religius, (2) menghormati martabat manusia dan hak asasinya, (3) memiliki wawasan kebangsaan, (4) menghargai kebebasan secara demokratis, (5) menjunjung dan menegakkan keadilan sosial. Humanisasi pendidikan Islam di Indonesia tidak boleh melepaskan nilai-nilai tersebut. Nilai-nilai Pancasila merupakan satu kesatuan yang utuh yang tidak dapat dipisah-pisahkan sebagai dasar pendidikan untuk membentuk manusia Indonesia yang berkepribadian Pancasila.
