Abstract

The leadership is needed by Islamic education those who have a strong soul and aware that education is required by a nation. It is not uncommon for Islamic education leaders to carry out their duties only at the level of implementation and administration of government policies. The leader of Islamic education must be someone who fully understands the Leadership Concept and has a vision for the future and has the desire to bring the organization forward and become an agent capable of answering the challenges of changing times because Islamic education institutions themselves are dynamic institutions and have an enormous responsibility for all parties, especially Religion, society, and the State. The success of the school in achieving the goal is one of the primary keys, namely the principal. In achieving the goal of an Islamic education institution that becomes the guide of the success of the headmaster, it is determined by the management's ability and leadership capacity. For the educational environment, educational leadership is a leadership that focuses on improving the quality of education. Besides the quality, leadership is also needed to increase teachers and administrator performance and school environment.

Abstract

Character education is a system of planting character values to school citizens which includes the components of knowledge, awareness or willingness, and actions to implement these values, both to God Almighty, oneself, others, environment, and nationality so that we become human beings. In character education in schools, all components (stakeholders) must be involved, including the components of education itself, namely curriculum content, learning and assessment processes, quality of relationships, handling or management of subjects, school management, implementation of co-curricular activities or activities , empowering infrastructure, funding, and work ethics for all residents and the school environment. The focus of this research was the planning, implementation, and evaluation of humanistic character education curriculum. The approach of this research was a qualitative approach. The research model in accordance with this study was naturalistic phenomenology. For the determination of informants, purposive sampling technique was used. Research instruments or tools are the researchers themselves. The data collection of this study used four techniques, namely: in-depth interviews, participant observation, documentation studies, and triangulation. Data analysis uses steps namely; data reduction, data presentation, and data analysis

Abstract

This study aimed to determine the process of formulating policies, implementing policies, performance, stakeholders support, and the policies of the boarding chairman in developing the Islamic school curriculum at the Darularafah Boarding School boarding school in Deli Serdang Regency. The data were obtained through interviews, observation, and documentation. The data analysis was done through data reduction, data presentation, and data verification. The results of this study were 1) The formulation of boarding school leaders' policies was carried out through annual meetings and deliberations attended by chairman, chiefs of fields, principals, teachers and communities to formulate five work programs related to the system of movement, organization and leadership, network, resources, and actions of service, 2) Implementation of formulation of the curriculumdevelopment program implemented at the Darularafah boarding school was carried out at the end of each year, then socialized to and through the prepared fields. 3) the performance of the implementation of the boarding schoolleadershippolicy was suited to its development as well as the boarding school’s  needs, 4) Stakeholder supported in implementing the policies of the boarding school leadership that was very supportive in the internal environment, as well as from the external / community

Abstract

This research was motivated by the low learning outcomes of developing the exposition paragraph of the students of the Tarbiyah and Teaching Faculty of UIN Sulthan Thaha Saifuddin Jambi. Students as prospective teachers had to be able to develop effective paragraphs than their students. This study aims to: describe the level of ability of students to develop exposition paragraphs, in terms of (1) aspects of paragraph cohesiveness, (2) aspects of the coherence of paragraphs, and (3) aspects of paragraph effectiveness. This research used a descriptive method. The selected sample was proportional randomly 34 pieces of exposition paragraphs, consisting of 1220 sentences written by 169 students from four study programs (Islamic Education, Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Teacher Education, Mathematics Education, and English Language Education). The method of data collection was in the form of essay tests. Data for each sentence and paragraph is analyzed and interpreted according to its classification by the process of sentences per sentence, and cards per card. After that tabulated then percentage.

Abstract

Mahmud Yunus’ contribution to the development of learning methods has poured in a bookentitled al-Tarbiyah wa al-Ta’lim. The bookprovides inspiration to researchers to conduct critical analysis of analysis figures. This study aimed to see the contribution of learning methods of Islamic Religious Education Mahmud Yunus in the book al-Tarbiyah wa al-Ta’lim. This research used qualitative research with the character study approach. The findings of contribution of learning method of Islamic Education Mahmud Yunus such as al-Istiqraiyah learning method, al-Tatbiqiyah learning method, al-Khabariyah learning method, and al-Tahawuriyah learning method Mahmud Yunus was able to develop the learning process in the five stages of the learning process. These five stages include al-Ta’aruf, Muqaddimah, al-‘Arad, al-Tatbiq, and al-Ikhtitam.

Abstract

This article is written to give an overview of the conceptual view of Multicultural Education in Madrasah Diniyah (Islamic Primary School) as a Prevention of Religious Conservatism. This paradigm is based on issue anxiety which often assumes that Islamic education as an agent of change has not revealed its function to change moderate and tolerant religious perspectives. The model offered is planting the values of multicultural education in theMadrasah Diniyah. The existence of Madrasah Diniyah as a non-formal Islamic education institution, both those in the boarding school environment and those that stand independently, has played a large role in engendering to Muslim intellectuals through education and teaching that have given starting from the basic level to the upper levels of religious understanding.

Abstract

This study aims to describe Islamic education according to Imam al-Ghazali and its relevance to education in Indonesia. The method of this research was to use library research. The research data was obtained from the results of the recording of Imam al-Ghazali's thoughts about Islamic education, and education in Indonesia. The validity of data was discussed and consulted from data findings to experts and peers. The results of this study are 1) The principle of the importance of morality integrated in spirituality in the goals of character education in accordance with the Republic of Indonesia Law Number 20 of 2003, 2) The values of Islamic education in al-Ghazali's perspective in Indonesia were characterized by Islamic nuances (Integrated Islamic Schools), 3) Educational methods by paying attention to differences in students and according to their education level, 4) The objectives of al-Ghazali's curriculum bring goodness, both in the world and the hereafter, as stated in the Republic of Indonesia Law Number 20 of 2003 concerning Chapter X Article 36 Paragraph 1 and 3.

Abstract

This research was conducted to look at the increase in mathematical communication towards cooperative learning type Course Review Horay assisted PowerPoint in the seventh grade of  SMP Negeri 1 Takengon. This research used Experiment Research with Quantitative research. SMP Negeri 1 Takengon was the population of research. Two classes were determined by purposive random sampling for the sample of research, called experimental class and control class. The experimental class was taught by using a cooperative learning type Course Review Horay assisted PowerPoint while the control class was taught by STAD. The conclusion was that by using a learning model Course Review Horay, the students more active because it can be suggested with the peers and its language. Things can improve the ability of mathematical communication students. Along with the development of their understanding of the material has been taught students to do math activities that encourage the application of mathematical communication ability.

Abstract

This study aimed to find out: (1) HowEnglish Language Teaching Materials were; (2) How  the Concept of Islamic Values in English Language Teaching Materials was; and (3) How to integrate Islamic values in English teaching materials at the Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Teacher Training program (PGMI) at UIN North Sumatra. This research was library research which is one type of qualitative research. The fundamental characteristic in this study was that the data studied was written literature in the form of documents namely books or literature. This study analyzed the English material taught in PGMI Study Program, then integrated with Islamic values on some material in English courses. The research findings were 1) English teaching materials which were used in PGMI discussed five basic abilities, namely reading, vocabulary, writing, grammar, and speaking; 2) the concept of Islamic values which wasintegrated into English learning was contained in an integrated syllabus;3) in integrating Islamic values in English language lectures, there were several aspects that needed to be combined, including approach, curriculum, teaching material, and lecture methods.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of work motivation and work stress on teacher performance at MIS Nurul Iman Sekincau, West Lampung. The approach used a quantitative approach by using Regressive analysis models to test hypotheses that have arranged, including 1) Motivation  effected positive and significant on teacher performance, 2) Work stress had a positive and significant effect on teacher performance, and 3) Motivation and work stress had a positive and significant effect on teacher performance. The data were collected by conducting questionnaires with the number of questions 10 items for each variable to be examined. The collected data were analyzed and obtained results: 1) Motivation did not significantly influence performance, 2) Work stress significantly affected performance, and 3) Work motivation and work stress had a significant effect on performance.
