Abstract

The micro and small enterprises (MSEs) in the agribusiness sector still face marketing challenges. Digital marketing has the potential to be a marketing solution, but only 33.8 percent of agribusiness MSEs have utilized it in their operations. This study aims to analyse the factors influencing digital marketing implementation by non-food agribusiness micro and small enterprises (MSEs) and evaluate their impact on business performance. The analytical methods used are logistic regression to identify the determinants of digital marketing, and Propensity Score Matching (PSM) to measure its impact on profit, turnover, and market reach. The results show that innovation, education level, labor, business status, and marketing training have a positive and significant influence on digital marketing decisions. Meanwhile, the age of the entrepreneur and business age have a negative and significant influence. Digital marketing has been proven to have a positive impact on market reach. These findings indicate that digital marketing plays a significant role in strengthening the performance of non-food agribusiness MSEs in expanding market access.

Abstract

Indonesia faces pressing challenges in achieving sustainable food self-sufficiency due to climate change, population growth, land degradation, and inefficient agricultural systems. To address these multifaceted issues, the Indonesian government is exploring the integration of cutting-edge technologies, including quantum computing, into national agricultural policies. This paper examines how quantum computing can transform sustainable food production by enabling advanced simulations, optimizing supply chains, and enhancing precision agriculture practices. The paper explores the theoretical framework, policy implications, and practical pathways for implementing quantum-enabled solutions, contributing to national food security and global sustainability agendas. The methodology of the research adopts an in-depth literature review and a qualitative analytical approach to explore the integration of quantum computing within Indonesia’s sustainable food production and self-sufficiency policy framework. Given the emerging nature of quantum technology and the evolving landscape of food security policies, a qualitative design enables in-depth examination of theoretical linkages, policy readiness, and potential use cases. The study emphasizes conceptual policy analysis, supported by secondary data, expert insights, and global benchmarking of technological trends. The research used technical framework analysis of the policy gap analysis, technology policy integration matrix, SWOT analysis (strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, threats), and case study analysis from other countries. The integration of quantum computing into Indonesia's sustainable food production policies could significantly enhance the country's food self-sufficiency program. By leveraging advanced computational capabilities, Indonesia can optimize agricultural practices, improve resource management, and address food security challenges posed by climate change and population growth. The following sections outline key aspects of this policy analysis and recommendations.

Abstract

In an effort to develop organic farming in Magelang, especially in Ngablak Subdistrict, a thorough and comprehensive understanding of farmers' purchasing behavior regarding organic fertilizer products is essential. This study aims to (1) Examine how attitude, subjective norm, perceived behavioral control, and environmental concern impact the vegetable farmers in Ngablak District intention to purchase organic fertilizer; (2) assess the extent to which purchase intention affects vegetable farmers behavior in purchasing organic fertilizer; and (3) Investigate the role of trust and price consciousness as moderating variables in the relationship among purchasing intention and purchasing behavior of organic fertilizer. This research involved a sample of 123 vegetable farmers in Ngablak sub-district, Magelang district. SEM-PLS method is employed to analyze the data. Empirical findings reveal that attitudes, subjective norms, perceived behavioral control, and environmental concerns significantly and positively contribute to the purchasing intention of organic fertilizer. Futhermore, purchasing intention plays a significant and positive role in shaping the purchasing behavior of organic fertilizer. The association among purchasing intention and purchasing behavior of organic fertilizer is positively moderated by trust. Meanwhile, the moderating role of price consciousness in the relationship between organic fertilizers purchasing intention and purchasing behavior is found to be insignifican.

Abstract

Organic agricultural entrepreneurship plays a crucial role in enhancing rural livelihoods and promoting sustainable development. However, the success of farmers in developing entrepreneurial capacity is often influenced by various internal and external factors, such as financial literacy, psychological resilience, and social networks. Understanding how these factors interact is essential to strengthen the competitiveness and sustainability of organic rice farming communities. This study examines the influence of financial literacy, psychological capital, and social capital on entrepreneurship of organic rice farmers in Trawas District, Mojokerto Regency, East Java Province. Objective of this study is to analyze how the interaction between the four variables can affect the entrepreneurial ability of farmers. The research method was conducted through a survey on 100 organic rice farmers using purposive sampling technique. Data were collected through interviews and analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling Generalized Structured Component Analysis (SEM GSCA). The results of the analysis show that financial literacy contributes significantly to entrepreneurship, with an influence of 30%. In addition, psychological capital and social capital contribute 16.5% and 35.2% respectively to entrepreneurship development. Financial literacy not only has a direct impact on entrepreneurship, but also strengthens psychological capital and social capital which play an important role in facing entrepreneurial challenges. However, the effect of financial literacy on entrepreneurship through these two mediating variables is not directly significant.

Abstract

Food security is a strategic issue in Indonesia; however, evaluations of training programs supporting food security rarely systematically assess program design quality. This study analyzes the design of the Local Food Diversification Processing Training Program and evaluates its alignment with the Analysis and Design phases of the ADDIE model and the FAO’s Four Pillars of Food Security. A qualitative approach was employed, using content analysis of program reports and training materials prepared in 2024 by the Central Java Provincial Food Security Agency and its technical partners. The results indicate that the program design considered local food potential, participant characteristics, and objectives related to food processing skills and entrepreneurship development. Conceptually, the program design aligns with the FAO’s Four Pillars of Food Security. However, the needs analysis lacked standardized instruments, and learning outcome indicators had not been formulated in operational terms. These findings suggest that while the program has a strong substantive foundation, strengthening the Analysis and Design phases is necessary to enable more systematic measurement of its contribution to food security. The study confirms that the ADDIE model and the FAO’s Four Pillars can serve as an evaluation framework for assessing the design quality of food security-oriented training programs.
