Abstract

One of the causes of nutritional problems in toddlers is the practice of early complementary feeding (MPASI). MPASI is additional food given to babies after the age of six months until the baby is 24 months old. Babies are ready to eat solid foods, both in growth and psychologically at the age of 6-9 months. So the role of the family is needed to prevent early complementary feeding. The purpose of this study was to analyze the relationship between family support and mothers' interest in giving early complementary foods in Kedung Galeng Village, Probolinggo City. This study used a correlational analysis design with a cross sectional approach. The sample data is a portion of families who have babies aged 0-6 months in the Kedung Galeng area in January 2022, a total of 71 families using a purposive random sampling technique. Data collection included coding, editing, and tabulating. Then the data were analyzed by computer with the Spearman test p value: 0.05. The results showed that 32 respondents (45.1%) gave high family support for Early MPASI, 36 respondents (50.7%) gave Early MPASI and p value: 0.000. The conclusion of the study is that there is a relationship between family support and the mother's interest in giving early complementary foods at Kedung Galeng (p = 0.000 <0.05). The suggestions put forward are that it is expected that midwives will improve counseling/education regarding exclusive breastfeeding and month-to-month complementary foods both in practice locations by making a commitment not to work with milk products for pregnant women, etc

Abstract

One method that is able to meet the needs of BBLR babies by providing situations and conditions similar to the mother's womb is KMC Treatment, which is a treatment method by making direct contact between the baby's skin and the mother's skin (skin to skin contact) and placing the baby on the mother's chest. KMC treatment has benefits for the increase in temperature of BBLR babies. The purpose of the study was to determine the effect of KMC treatment on the temperature of BBLR babies in the Neonatology Room of Pambalah Batung Amuntai Hospital. Quantitative research method with quasi-experimental method research design with one group pretest posttest approach. Samples were taken by purposive sampling method and had inclusion and exclusion criteria so that 15 BBLR baby samples were obtained. Data collection using observation sheets. Data were analyzed using the Wilcoxon Sign Rank Test. The results showed that the baby's body temperature before KMC treatment averaged 36,160 and the baby's body temperature after KMC treatment averaged 37,073. Based on the Wilcoxon Sign Rank Test analysis test, there is a significant effect of increase between temperature before and after KMC treatment with p-value (0.001 < 0.05).

This research is a quantitative study with a quasi eksperimen design using the one group method. pre-test post-test. The population was 72 pregnant women. The sample was selected using a random sampling technique, obtaining 19 respondents for the control group and 19 respondents for the treatment group. The results of the study showed that hemoglobin levels in pregnant women before administering Moringa leaf extract had an average of 10.4 gr%, while after administration it had an average of 11.5 gr%. The statistical test results show a p-value of 0.000 (p<?), which indicates that there is a significant effect of administering Moringa leaf extract on increasing hemoglobin levels in pregnant women. Abstract

Early childhood is a golden age marked by rapid changes in various aspects of development. Fine motor development is an important aspect that needs to be stimulated appropriately. At Insan Cemerlang Pringsewu Kindergarten, many children experience delays in fine motor development. This research aims to determine the effect of paper clay activities on fine motor skills in pre-school children aged 4-5 years at Insan Cemerlang Pringsewu Kindergarten. This research uses quantitative methods with a quasi-experimental design with a pretest-posttest approach. The research population was pre-school children aged 4-5 years at the Insan Cemerlang Pringsewu Kindergarten, totaling 33 children. Data is collected through observation and analyzed using appropriate statistical tests. The results of the study showed that there was a significant increase in children's fine motor skills after participating in paper clay activities. Before the intervention, the average score for fine motor skills was 44, while after the intervention it increased to 55 with a p-value of .000 (<0,05). Implementation of this activity can be a useful alternative stimulation in early childhood education.

Abstract

Stunting is one of the problems faced in the world, especially in developing countries which have middle to lower average incomes. Based on data obtained from the West Bandung District Health Service, the prevalence of stunted toddlers reached 5.16% August (2023), this is due to several factors causing stunting, one of which is a lack of maternal knowledge which influences the incidence of stunting. The efforts to minimize the number of stunting incidents include providing education using e-booklet media. The aim of the study was to determine the influence of education using e-booklets on mothers' knowledge about stunting. This study method is pre-experimental with a one group pretest-posttest design. The population of this study was all mothers with toddlers in Pangauban Village, namely 1,520 mothers, and the sample size was 20 mothers of toddlers using a non-probability sampling technique. Data analysis uses the Dependent T-Test (Paired Samples Test). The results of this study showed that the average knowledge value of mothers before being given education using e-booklets was 68.45 and after being given education using e-booklets was 76.60, with ?-Value = 0.006, which means there was an influence of education using e-booklet media on mother’s knowledge about stunting. It is hoped that the E-Booklet can be used as a media for providing health education in order to minimize the occurrence of stunting.

Abstract

There are two methods of dealing with labor pain, namely medical and non-medical. One of the non-medical actions is the provision of warm compresses given to the lower back area. Giving warm compresses can improve blood circulation, provide a feeling of warmth, prevent muscle spasms and reduce pain. This research is based on the results of observations made at the Jombang Islamic Hospital that the methods used to treat pain in laboring mothers are back massage and providing emotional support, while warm compresses have never been applied. This study aims to determine the effect of warm compresses on the level of active phase I labor pain in the Delivery Room of Jombang Islamic Hospital in 2023.                    The design of this study used the Quasi Experiment method (pseudo-experiment), with a one group pretest posttest design. The sample of this study was 15 women giving birth normally at the Jombang Islamic Hospital in July 2023. The results of the study were that most (66.7%) of respondents had severe pain before being given warm compresses and almost all (80%) of respondents had moderate pain levels after being given warm compresses. The results of the Wilcoxon statistical test obtained a p value of 0.001 (?<0.05) so it can be concluded that there is an effect of warm compresses on the level of labor pain in the Delivery Room of the Jombang Islamic Hospital. Provision of warm compresses can be applied in the Delivery Room of Jombang Islamic Hospital to help reduce labor pain, provide a sense of comfort and relaxation for mothers in labor.
