Worker in the informal batik sector provide potential health risk in their work, such as exposure by synthetic chemicals that used in the production process of batik and un ergonomic working posture. The purpose of this study was determine the difference in knowledge, attitude and practice of prevention of workplace accidents before and after safety induction. It was use pre - experiment research method with pre and post test design. The population of this studied was to batik craftsman with totally numbers 14 people and the sample was taken as many as total of the population. The data were processed by bivariate Wilcoxon test analysed with the significance p<0,05. From the Wilcoxon statistical test found difference of knowledge (p = 0.002), difference of attitude (p = 0.003), and difference of accident in prevention practice before and after safety induction (p = 0.002). The result of this study showed difference of knowledge, attitude, and practice in prevention workplace accident before and after safety induction the batik craftsman in Kampung Batik Semarang.

Periodontal disease is the second largest illness suffered by the community in Indonesia (73.50%), one of its etiologies is tartar which is found in 46.2% of the population. The impact of periodontal disease on systemic health include cardiovascular disease, atherosclerosis, premature birth and low birth weight. The aim of this study is to analyze the factors related to patient’s tartar cleaning behavior on BPG Primary Health Center II, East Denpasar City. This study uses quantitative methods with survey design and cross sectional approaches. Sample size is 185 people. Results showed the majority (70.3%) of respondents did the less practice. Factors which connected to cleaning the tartar formation practice is less support of medical worker (68,1%), and (48,6%) of respondent have middle educational level and the most dominant factor which affect to cleaning tartar practice is medical worker. Variables that are not associated with patient practice of tartar cleaning are age, sex, income, experience of toothache, knowledge, attitudes.

HIV test is the only way to determine a person including former migrant workers contracting HIV / AIDS or not. Practice of HIV test is strongly influenced by intention to do it. This research is quantitative research with cross sectional nature explanations by using a questionnaire. Samples are former migrant workers in five districts in East Lombok taken by simple random sampling technique were 121 respondents. The results based on univariate test found 28.9% of respondents intend to conduct HIV tests. Factors associated with the intention of respondent to do an HIV test from the results of bivariate tests (chi-square test), namely the factors of knowledge about HIV / AIDS & HIV testing, attitudes toward HIV / AIDS & HIV testing and factors of self-efficacy perceptions of respondents to test for HIV. Multivariate analysis (logistic regression) found that there are two variables that influence intention to perform an HIV test that is self-efficacy variables (OR = 17.277 times) and the variable attitudes towards HIV / AIDS (OR = 7.4 times).

HSE Management System in Indonesia refer to Labor Minister Number Per-05/Men/1996 on Safety Management System and Occupational Heath. The main thing in implementing the HSE Management System the main thing is the commitment of companies towards HSE Management System itself. This study aims to formulate strategies to strengthen management’s HSE commitment on PT X. the approach used in this research is a qualitative approach. As a research subject is the management of the Head Office of PT X, located in Bandung. Retrieving data trough Focus Group Discussion and in-depth interviews. Focus Group Discussion conducted by the number of participants by 14 people while in-depth interviews conducted on the leaders and HSE headquarters staff PT X. The results show that commitment in the implementation of HSE in PT X already exists but its implementation is not optimal. HSE organization that is in PT X has not been biased because the organization takes a strategic policy level is still sub-section, in addition to the human resources that deal with HSE is not in accordance with educational backgrounds that are less than optimal.

The officers of substation highway is one of the very risky exposure to the effects of lead, from the results of levels of Pb (Lead) in the blood of 2010 conducted by PT XXX showed that average 15.252 ug / dl. This data is above 10 ug / dl, according to Centre for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), the concentration of Pb in blood in adults should not exceed 10 ug / dl. This study uses quantitative methods with Explanatory Research with cross sectional approach, the sample size is 36 employees of PT XXX. Results showed the majority (89%) of the respondents with Pb poisoning prevention practices are less good, that the variables of knowledge is the most influential variables on Pb poisoning prevention practices on toll road officers Bandung.

The risk reduction action among IDU’s is needed to reduce the emerging of new case of HIV transmission through their risk behavior either in drug using practices and sexual practices. This study was aimed to analyze determinant factors to risk reduction action of HIV transmission among IDU’s in Makassar City. It was an explanatory study, employs a cross sectional research design and combining between Health Belief Model and Social Learning Theory. Target population in this research was all IDU’s in Makassar City that have been reached by three NGOs and involving in individual risk assessment. There were 97 respondents involved in this research, selected by applying systematic random sampling technique. Questionnaire was used for collect data and analyze with chi square to measure bivariate correlation. Logistic regression was employed for multivariate analysis. Out of the 97 IDU’s, 60,8% IDU’s experienced consistency in risk reduction action adherence. Logistic regression analysis showed that risk reduction action dominantly influence by knowledge of HIV/AIDS.

The high rates of STIs in sex workers residing in Baturraden will also affect the high transmission of STIs to other people or service users PSK. The study aims to analyze the knowledge about IMS and attitudes about IMS factors that influence the practice of visiting prostitutes IMS Health Center Clinic Baturraden II. This research is an explanatory research methods and quantitative research with cross sectional approach. Collecting data used purposive sampling technique. Data analyzed by univariate analysis, frequency distributions, bivariate analysis with chi-square test, and mulivariat analysis with logistic regression. The results showed no relationship between the dependent variable practice of visiting the STD clinic with STI knowledge, attitudes towards STIs, attitudes toward STI and there is no relationship between the dependent variable practices of visiting the STD clinic with independent variable of STIs clinical knowledge. Multivariate analysis states that the attitude towards STIs variable is a variable that has the most dominant influence on the practice of visiting the STD clinic.

Based on the data during 2006-2009, there were always dengue hemorrhage fever patients in Karangjati village, Blora regency. The objective of the research is to know some factors which influence the acts to exterminate moquito nest among people in Karangjati village Blora regency. This is explanatory research of which research method is survey which uses cross sectional approach. There are respondents who were chosen randomly. The data was taken by using questionnaire and then it was analyzed using univariate, bivariate and multivariate. Variables which relates to behaviour toward mosquito nest extermination are knowledge, attitude, information availability, and health official role. Variables which relates to behaviour toward mosquito nest extermination are age, education, sex, income.

Protein Energy Malnutrition (PEM) in Pekalongan is still quite high, 11.95% and affects most of one’s life, which began in fetus in the womb, infancy and continue until the child enters school age. This research is to analyze the incidence of risk factors in pregnant woman PEM. A total of 76 samples comprising 38 cases and 38 controls were recruited in this study. Upper Arm Circumference was measured in pregnant woman and used a structured questionnaire to obtain information about predisposing factors such as knowledge, attitudes, eating habits and abstinence of certain foods. The results showed that maternal attitudes toward nutrition (p=0.02) and eating habits of pregnant woman (p = 0.03) significantly influenced the incidence of PEM. Analysis of risk factors for maternal nutrition knowledge (p=0.3) and abstinence from food to pregnant woman (p = 1.0) obviously has no effect on the incidence of PEM.

Ship workers have high risk of infected by HIV, because they work far from home and sex industry in harbor is known. This research was aimed to descript sexual behavior of ship crew. The amount of sample was 59 respondents from 150 populations, which took by accidental sampling technique. This is explanatory research and using cross sectional study. Questioner is used to interview the respondent. The result was analyzed by univariate, bivariate and multivariate analysis. The result shows 54,2% of 59 ship crew engaged in sexual risk behavior. By bivariate, this behavior related to knowledge, attitude, accessibility and acceptability of condom and health services, and peer behavior. In multivariate, sexual risk behavior influenced by knowledge, attitude, lack of peer behavior, and accessibility and acceptability of condom.
