Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui analisis teks, kognisi sosial dan konteks sosial pada cerpen Kita Gendong Bergantian karya Budi Darma. Penelitian kualitatif ini menggunakan pendekatan metode Analisis Wacana Kritis (AWK) model Teun A. van Dijk. Sumber data penelitian ini Adalah cerpen Kita Gendong Bergantian karya Budi Darma yang dimuat di Kompas Minggu, 29 November. Teknik analisis data dilakukan dengan menerapkan AWK model van Dijk yang menggabungkan ketiga dimensi wacana yakni teks, kognisi sosial, dan konteks sosial sebagai satu kesatuan analisis. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa cerpen Kita Gendong Bergantian memiliki elemen tekstual yang detil dalam menyusun cerita, kognisi sosial berupa cerminan masyarakat Surabaya pada saat penjajahan Jepang, dan konteks sosial berupa akses yang dimiliki oleh penguasa untuk melakukan kegiatan yang merugikan orang lain karena adanya perlindungan dari penjajah Jepang.

Abstract

Penelitian ini menganalisis tindak tutur ilokusi pada iklan sabun wajah yang tayang di youtube. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui tindak tutur ilokusi pada iklan sabun wajah. Metode analisa yang digunakan yaitu metode deskriptif kualitatif dengan cara mengamati setiap kata yang diucapkan penutur dalam iklan tersebut. Data dalam penelitian bersumber pada delapan iklan sabun wajah yang tayang di youtube selama bulan Agustus-Oktober 2022. Teknik analisa yang digunakan yaitu teknik simak bebas tanpa cakap serta dibantu dengan teknik lanjutan yaitu teknik catat. Setelah dilakukan analisa didapatkan data sebanyak 17 data antara lain yaitu tindak tutur ilokusi deklaratif sebanyak dua data, direktif sebanyak enam data, ekspresif sebanyak satu data dan reseprentatif sebanyak delapan data.

Abstract

This study has three aims. The first was to investigate the program that support the inclusive education at SMP Laboratorium UM. Secondly, the study was aimed at investigating how the teacher teaches English in inclusive classrooms, and the common challenges faced by the English teacher in teaching an inclusive classroom. The researchers used qualitative research using the case study method with two main instruments, namely interviews and observations. The participants involved in this research were an inclusive education school coordinator, an English teacher in inclusive classrooms, and students with special needs. The data were collected in two weeks via two interviews and two field observations. The data collected were in the form of tape recording, field notes, pictures, and videos. Those data were qualitatively analyzed to answer the research questions. The result of the study is categorized in three main points. First, the school offers program that support the implementation of inclusive education, such as self-development program, and extra courses that facilitate SEN students’ development of basic life skills. There are ten classes assigned to accommodate at least one special need student in each class.   Second, when it comes to teaching English in inclusive classrooms, the teachers showed a lack of specific strategies, but they used game-based technology like Kahoot to make enjoyable learning.  The teachers faced challenges, like handling tantrums and moody students. Third, the result also shows that patience and sincerity are important when teaching SEN students.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memperoleh deskripsi dan dapat menjelaskan bentuk – bentuk nilai religius yang terdapat pada novel Hati Suhita karya Khilma Anis dan untuk perumusan bahan ajar Bahasa Indonesia. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian deskriptif kualitatif. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah berupa alat tulis dan lembar pengamatan. Sumber data yang digunakan adalah karya sastra novel Hati Suhita karya Khilma Anis. Peristiwa dalam penelitian ini adalah sebuah cerita yang ada pada novel. Teknik pengumpulan data pada penelitian ini dengan membaca dan mencatat. Analisis ini dilakukan dengan meneliti konten baik berupa dialog maupun monolog antar tokoh dalam novel Hati Suhita. Dalam hal ini peneliti harus berpikir bolak balik atau reflektif antara teks, konteks, dan kontekstualisasi untuk mengungkapkan muatan nilai religius dalam novel. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pada novel Hati Suhita karya Khilma Anis mengandung banyak nilai religius yang dapat digunakan sebagai bahan ajar sehari-hari. Dalam pembelajaran  ini,  siswa  diharapkan  mampu memahami berbagai hikayat, novel Indonesia/novel terjemahan dengan kompetensi dasar mampu menjelaskan unsur-unsur intrinsik dari pembacaan novel dan mampu menemukan  nilai-nilai religius  yang  ada  dalam  novel.

Abstract

This study aims to find out how well SMART Strategy improves the tenth graders' reading comprehension achievement in ESP at Cendekia Vocational High School Madiun. The subjects of this study consisted of 30 students of tenth graders majoring in Multimedia. In conducting this research, researchers used Classroom Action Research. The researcher used the SMART (Self-Monitoring Approach Reading and Thinking) strategy in teaching ESP texts. This research was conducted by following the steps of action research: planning, action, observation, and reflection. This research was conducted in three cycles. Each cycle consists of two meetings. Data obtained through tests, observation sheets, field notes and documentation. The results of this study indicate that there is an increase in students' ability to understand reading ESP texts by using the SMART strategy. Most students get good grades in the second cycle. The minimum passing criteria for English subject is 75. The students' average score on the pre-test was 57.17. The average score of students in post-test I was 67, the average score of students in post-test II was 78.67. Then the average value of post-test 3 increased 87.33 this shows that in cycle I there were 40% of students who achieved KKM and increased in cycle II to 77% of students who achieved KKM and in cycle III reached 100%. Its means the research has reached the criteria of success 100% where 30 students passed the reading comprehension test. Therefore, it can be concluded that the SMART strategy was able to improve the reading comprehension
