Abstract

Tingginya jumlah pasien skizofrenia di Puskesmas Alah Air perlu mendapatkan perhatian salah satunya tentang pola pengobatannya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pola penggunaan obat antipsikotik di Puskesmas Alah Air Kecamatan Tebing Tinggi Kabupaten Kepulauan Meranti. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian observasional dengan rancangan deskriptif. Sumber data pada penelitian ini adalah data rekam medik pasien selama bulan Januari sampai Desember 2021 di Puskesmas Alah Air Kabupaten Kepulauan Meranti. Sampel penelitian berjumlah 81 pasien yang memenuhi kriteria inklusi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa mayoritas pasien skizofrenia berjenis kelamin laki-laki (74,1 %), dengan rentang usia dewasa awal (18 – 40) tahun yakni sebanyak 60,5 %. Berdasarkan obat antipsikotik yang paling banyak digunakan adalah golongan antipsikotik tipikal dengan obat halloperidol yakni sebanyak 71,6 %. Berdasarkan rute pemberian obat 100% diberikan secara oral. Berdasarkan nama generik dan nama dagang, obat digunakan yaitu generik sebanyak 100%. Berdasarkan terapi tunggal dan kombinasi hasil yang didapatkan terapi kombinasi yaitu 90,1 % dan kombinasi yang paling banyak adalah antipsikotik tipikal dengan tipikal. Kesimpulan penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa pola penggunaan obat antipsikotik adalah penggunaan antipsikotik tipikal gerik secara oral dalam bentuk kombinasi

Abstract

Tulang ikan mengandung kalsium yang dapat dimanfaatkan sebagai sumber kalsium yang diperlukan tubuh. Kalsium berfungsi sebagai pembentukan dan pemeliharaan tulang dan gigi. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk menetapkan kadar kalsium pada nugget ikan patin setelah dilakukan penambahan tepung tulang yang berasal dari ikan patin. Formula yang dibuat terdiri dari F1 (nugget tanpa penambahan tepung tulang maupun kalsium karbonat), F2 (nugget dengan penambahan tepung tulang ikan patin), dan F3 (nugget dengan penambahan kalsium karbonat). Analisis kandungan kalsium menggunakan metode Spektrofotometri serapan atom. Kandungan kalsium pada nugget ikan patin masing-masing adalah pada F1=350,010 mg/100 gram, F2=1025,335 mg/100 gram, dan F3=1498,058 mg/100 gram. Tepung tulang dari ikan patin yang ditambahkan dapat meningkatkan kandungan kalsium pada nugget ikan patin.

Abstract

The pancreas does not produce enough insulin or the body cannot use the insulin it produces effectively. Insulin is a hormone that regulates the balance of blood sugar levels. (hyperglycemia). This research was conducted with a non-experimental descriptive method with a cross-sectional design that was carried out every month. Sampling was carried out in the internal medicine section of RSUD by Dr. Husni Thamrin Natal. Samples were taken retrospectively every month using secondary data, namely medical records of patients using oral antidiabetics (drugs) in the period from January to June 2019. The data obtained was presented in the form of table proportions and graphs. The results showed that the largest percentage of use of antidiabetic drugs was male, as many as 67 people (57.26%), over 50 years old, as many as 97 people (82.91%), and the type of work was self-employed for as many as 47 people (40, 17%). The most widely used antidiabetic drug groups are the biguanide groups (75.17%), the combination type of drug with a combination of metformin and glimepiride (93.33%), and the frequency of use of the drug metformin (74.15%). Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that the highest prevalence is in the male sex, and the average age is over 50 years. The pattern of prescribing antidiabetic drugs based on the most widely used drug class is the biguanide group, which is a combination of metformin and glimepiride types of drugs, and the frequency of drug use is metformin.

Abstract

Salicylic acid is a skin remedy that is used to treat various skin problems such as acne. Salicylic acid is safe to use and contains Beta Hydroxy Acid (BHA), which is an ingredient used to reduce wrinkles and acne. Although it has benefits for removing acne, salicylic acid is a dangerous chemical if used in excess of the prescribed limits. To determine the levels of salicylic acid in anti acne creams circulating in Pasar Besar Malang City, qualitatively with color test using FeCl3 and quantitatively using UV-Vis spectrophotometry to analyze levels of salicylic acid in anti-acne cream. Qualitative research using FeCl3 showed that from four samples, one sample was declared negative, while three positive samples contained salicylic acid, while testing using UV-Vis spectrophotometry found all samples containing salicylic acid. The levels of salicylic acid in all samples were within the safe limits set by BPOM with the highest level contained in skin surface products, including substances harmful to the skin, should not be more than 2%.

Abstract

Outbreak is corona virus disease or what is often called COVID-19 is a problem in the world and also in Indonesia. In addition to the implementation of a good understanding and knowledge of all elements including society, in addition, one of the factors that influence a person's behavior is the level of knowledge. This study aims to determine the relationship between the level of knowledge and covid-19 vaccination behavior in the people of Samarinda City. This study used quantitative research with a cross-sectional design where the number of samples in this study was 130 samples obtained from direct interviews and filling out questionnaires. The data analysis in this study was to use the Pearson correlation test. Based on the results obtained, it shows that out of a total of 130 respondents, a sig value (2-tailed) of 0.000 <0.05 is known so that it can be said that there is a significant relationship between 2 variables, namely knowledge and perception, besides that, a correlation coefficient of 0.346 is obtained, which means that the level of strength or correlation of the relationship between 2 variables is weak. Knowledge is one of the factors that influence a person's behavior, so the higher the knowledge about vaccines, the higher the public's desire to vaccinate against COVID-19.

Abstract

Cayenne pepper (Capsicum frutescens L.) is a plant that has many benefits, one of which is as an anti-inflammatory. The anti-inflammatory effect of cayenne pepper was tested on white rats in the form of a gel. Two gel formulas were used with different concentrations of propylene glycol as additive, 25% and 30%, respectively. White rats were grouped into 4 groups, negative control group (gel base), positive control group (Voltaren® Emulgel), gel formula 1 group (enhancer 25%), and gel formula 2 (enhancer 30%). Albumen was induced on the backs of white rats then samples were given. Skinfold thickness measurements were taken every 1 hour for 6 hours. The data obtained in the form of skin thickness values ​​(mm). The % Inflammation Inhibition (% PI) was calculated for each sample. Formula 1 and Formula 2 gave %PI of 32.58 ± 1.80 and 40.75 ± 5.71, respectively. Both formulas had an anti-inflammatory effect against edema on the back of rats although not better than Voltaren® Emulgel. Based on One Way ANOVA test, Formula 2 has a better anti-inflammatory effect than Formula 1. LSD test results show that %PI Formula 2 is similar to %PI Voltaren® Emulgel with a significance value of 0.117 (>0.05).

Abstract

Ultra-High Performance Liquid Chromatography (UHPLC) has become the modern standard HPLC platform in recent years. UHPLC as an ideal separation tool for the analysis of complex mixtures with a shorter analysis time is very suitable to be used as a fast and precise method. This study aims to determine the quantitative determination of gabapentin in the form of intermediate products, namely granules and finished products, namely capsules from 1 production batch using the UHPLC method. The results of the quantitative examination of the average content (% recovery) of gabapentin in granule and capsule samples quantified by the UHPLC method met the compendial requirements and internal specifications compared to the standard gabapentin recovery values. The % recovery obtained is 98.254% for gabapentin granules and 97.784% for gabapentin capsules, which means it is still in the 95%-105% range. While the %RSD value is 0.735 for granules and 0.839 for capsules, which means it has an RSD value of <2%. % precision of gabapentin granules was 99.558% with %RSD 0.407, and % intermediate precision gabapentin capsules was obtained 98.845% with %RSD 0.678. In conclusion, based on the quantitative results obtained meet the expected specifications, so it can be considered for use for routine analysis and quality control of medicinal ingredients, in the inspection of intermediate products and other finished drug products in the pharmaceutical industry quickly and accurately.

Abstract

Limpasu (Baccaurea lanceolata) is a native plant of Borneo which is used empirically to protect the skin from sun exposure. Limpasu contains flavonoid compounds which generally act as antioxidants. This study aims to determine the total flavonoid content of limpasu pericarp extract by using UV-Vis spectrophotometry method. Limpasu pericarp was extracted by using the stratification maceration method. This extraction was carried out by immersing the simplicia into three types of solvents with different polarities, respectively, namely n-hexane (nonpolar), ethyl acetate (semi-polar), and methanol (polar). The concentration of n-hexane, ethyl acetate, and methanol extracts was determined using a UV-Vis spectrophotometer at a maximum wavelength of 510 nm with quercetin as standard. Based on the test, it was found that the total flavonoid content of pericarp extracts, hexane, ethyl acetate, and methanol, respectively, was 44.1552 g/ml; 155.8506 g/ml; and 25.8506 g/ml. The highest total flavonoid content was found in the ethyl acetate extract.

Abstract

Premature aging is the process of aging skin that it faster than time because there is oxidative damage caused by free radicals. This study aims to determine the antioxidant activity of the cosmeceuticals spray gel combination of turmeric rhizome fraction with catfish skin collagen. Curcumin compounds in turmeric are known to have high antioxidant activity to inhibit free radicals and the addition of collagen is intended to be able to provide intake in improving skin structure due to premature aging. The preparations are made into 8 formulas with various concentration. The preparations formed will be evaluated and tested for their antioxidant activity. The result obtained were the extraction of catfish skin collagen the yield of 12.466% collagen. Examination of the ash content, moisture content, fat and protein contain were obtained respectively 0.0105; 0.0525; 5.98; 85.76%. In the evaluation of spray gel preparations, it was found that the preparations F1-F8 met quality standards on the test of spreadability, adhesion resistance, dry time, pH, spray conditions, except for the viscosity value at F4 and F5. The highest % inhibition value was obtained at F8 (0.5% ethyl acetate fractions of turmeric rhizome and 2% collagen of catfish skin) amounted to 48.82%. In statistical t-test showed sig 0.001, indicates there are significant differences in each formula.

Abstract

Patients with comorbidity is vulnerable to being attacked by COVID-19. Diabetes mellitus comorbid patients have experience of higher severity viral infections than those without diabetes mellitus. The objective of the research was to evaluate the impact of Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus (T2-DM) comorbidity and antiviral therapy on the clinical outcome of COVID-19 patients. The study was performed following a cross sectional design from April 2020 to March 2021 at Hospital dr Rasidin Padang. Data were collected retrospectively from the patient's medical record. Treatment and clinical outcomes of patients were analyzed using the Kruskal Wallis, Mann-Withney U Test, Repeated Measured ANOVA, and Friedman Test. Results showed that the respiratory rate on T2-DM comorbid and non-comorbid patients were 20.58±0.25 and 20.15±0.08 times/minutes, respectively (p<0.05). While, oxygen saturation was 97.95±0.16 and 98.38±0.06%, respectively (p<0.05). Patient’s length of stay after the treatment of oseltamivir and favipiravir on non-comorbid COVID-19 patients were 14.76±0.861 and 9.96±0.488 days, respectively (p<0.01). While on comorbid patients were 16.00 ±3.17 and 10.47±0.77, respectively (p<0.01). Comorbidity had a significantly impacted on the patient's respiratory rate and oxygen saturation. The use of oseltamivir and favipiravir had a highly significant different on the LOS of comorbid and non-comorbid patients.
