Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of giving Thalassiosira sp. and Chlorella sp. on the biomass and nutritional content of Artemia sp. This research was conducted at the Microalga Laboratory, Living Feed Unit of the Situbondo Aquaculture Aquaculture Fisheries Unit from June to August 2019. This research was experimental using a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with three treatments and three repetitions. Provision of natural food against Artemia sp. carried out with 3 treatments namely Treatment (a) feeding Chlorella sp., (b) feeding with Thallassiosira sp., (c) feeding combination Thallassiosira sp. and Chlorella sp. combination feeding has a high nutrient content compared to treatments (a) and (b). The protein content in treatment (c) was 58.64% compared to treatment (a) amounted to 49.79% and treatment (b) 53.60%. Water quality measured during the study were temperatures ranging from 25.9-27 ° C, salinity values ??ranged from 34 to 38 ppt, pH values ??ranged from 8.04 to 8.45, and DO values ??ranged from 7.8 to 12.8 ppm. The value of water quality is still in the optimal range for the growth of Artemia sp.

Abstract

This research aimed to determine the amount of dissolved organic matter (BOT) and its influencing factors in the downstream part of the Tukad Mati, Badung, Bali. The research was conducted in the downstream of Tukad Mati from July to September 2019. The parameters measured were BOT, TSS, Turbidity, TDS, NO3, DO, pH, and Temperature. The results showed the level of increase in BOT in the morning with an average of 22.1 mg/l and afternoon 24.3 mg/l had a difference of 2.2 mg/l, with a percentage increase of 9.95% . TDS measurement results in the morning and evening have an average value of 419 mg/l and 423 mg/l with a difference of 4 mg/l with a percentage decrease of 0.95%. The results of nitrate measurements in the morning and evening have an average value of 3.5 mg /l and 3.8 mg/l with a difference of 0.3 mg/l with a decrease percentage of 8.6%. The results of TSS measurements in the morning and evening had an average value of 8.9 mg/l and 11.8 mg/l with a difference of 11.8 mg/l with a reduction percentage of 32.5%.

Abstract

The location for the research is decide in Sanggalangit Village, Gerokgak District, Buleleng Regency, Bali. The highest production species in the coast of Sanggalangit Village, Buleleng Regency is Anchovy. The village is chosen because there are a lot of fisherman whos active to catch and do the Anchovy’s marketing. The aim of this research is to know the condition of marketing channels and analysis the marketing channels efficiency of Anchovy in Sanggalangit Village. This research is held on December 2019 until January 2020 with qualitative and quantitative methods by observation and interviews. Interviewed with the fisherman, the institution of marketing such as the collecting trader and the retailer. The share margin analysis and farmer’s share as a tool to know the marketing channels efficiency. The marketing channels that occurs in Sanggalangit Village is from the fisherman, to the collecting trader and then to the retailer, until to the customer’s hand. The share margin from this Anchovy’s marketing channels is obtained Rp. 13.000/kg where the margin from the fisherman with the collecting trader is Rp. 3.800 and the margin from the collecting trader with the retailer is obtained Rp. 9.200/kg. The amount of farmer’s share is 56,67 %. The marketing efficiency value is 15,18 %, which is mean the marketing channels efficiency of Anchovy in Sanggalangit Village is efficient.

Abstract

This study aimed to know the difference of total bacterial number on the sediment of rehabilitation and natural mangrove ecosystem in the Desa Perancak, Jembrana, Bali. Sediment sampling was carried out in November 2019. The sediment sampling was carried out at two different sites, 3 station from the rehabilitation mangrove zone and 3 station from natural mengrove zone. Total bacterial number in the sediment was enumerated using Total Plate Count Method, pH was measured using pH meter, and dissolved solid was measured using TDS meter. The result showed that there was no bog difference in the bacterial amount between rehabilitation and natural mangrove ecosystem. The total dissolved solid in the rehabilitation mangrove was higher than that in the natural mangrove. The pH of sediment in the rehabilitation mangrove was lower than that in the natural mangrove. This result indicate that there is difference in the species community in both mangrove ecosystems.

Abstract

Sardinella (Sardinella lemuru) is a type of small pelagic fish which very important and economic value in Pengambengan Nusantara Fishing Port (NFP). Sardinella resources are stated to be in overfishing were marked by the catch that is getting smaller and the production has decreased every year. The situation of Sardinella resources in Bali Strait, especially in Pengambengan NFP must be maintained by managing, then stocks of Sardinella can be utilized sustainably. This research aims to provide an overview of conditions and threats to Sardinella around Pengambengan NFP as one of the largest fishing ports in Bali Strait includes Sardinella fisheries production in Pengambengan NFP, sex ratio, gonad maturity level, gonad maturity index, conditions factor, so Sardinella resources can be created sustainable. This research uses a simple random sampling method, by taking fish randomly from traders who contain various lengths and weights of Lemuru in Pengambengan NFP. Lemuru production from 2009-2018 in PPN Pengambengan has increased and decreased, this is due to several factors such as environmental changes and fishing activities by fishermen. The sex ratio of Sardinella landed in Pengambengan NFP has a ratio of 0.8: 1. Gonad Maturity Level obtained in TKG I and TKG II so the Gonad Maturity Index found was around 0.0291-0.2188. The range of condition factors from 0.9-1.4, it means Sardinella in the plump category.Sardinella lemuru; PPN Pengambengan; Reproduction
